I played this at Gen Con when it first came out, at high tier. I was the only survivor. This encounter was killer.

If it had gone a bit more south, Auri could have done some channeling too, but it is not her major thing, and the amount of damage she would do is quite low compared to Kyra. Didnt't want to outshine our cleric vs the dead either!

This fifteen-by-fifteen-foot room is constructed entirely of the same smooth-white material seen on the sphere outside. A single white pillar stretches floor-to-ceiling in the center of the room, and in a niche rests a smooth, white, hand-sized square covered in glyphs and runes similar to those on the complex’s front door.

Piper can tell that it's SOMETHING incredible, but not exactly what it is or does. She has a feel for it's base function. It's some kind of control device, but she's not sure how, or what.
Meanwhile outside the sounds of shouting and violence begin to make their way into the echoing halls of the ancient structure where you stand...
Kyra heals anyone who speaks up Feel free to retcon. She then takes the object, but nothing seems to happen... for now.

Kyra takes the device even as August and Piper ogle at it, trying to fathom its purpose. With it in hand, you head back towards Julia. As the you emerge from the Azlanti complex, you step into chaos! All along the palisade wall, Pathfinders and camp workers are trying desperately to hold off a horde of charau-ka outside the walls. Wave after wave of rocks, sticks, and even the camp’s own garbage are flying over the walls at regular intervals. Somewhere back in the jungle, that same deafening roar echoes across at the valley.
Just as you emerge from the door, a large rock smashes a hole in the palisade wall, and moments later a hoard of screeching, chattering ape-men plunge through it and flood the camp. In the distance, their horrible champion—a four-armed gorilla, fifteen feet tall and causing the ground to shake with each step, intelligently scans his troops and roars at them, causing the ape-men to devolve into a frenzy.
At the sight of the 4 armed gorilla Kyra falls unconscious. For only a brief moment you think she lost her nerve, but a moment later you hear metal and stone screeching from inside the complex!
I've added the stats of the monolith to the map.
A quartet of charau-ka led by an exceptionally strong looking charau-ka with a tiger break through! Everyone else is already busy, so it's up to you!
