If there is any more energy to channel? *makes hopeful eyes*
That is something we have in spades. If we run out of channels between Rholf and Larissa, we've had too long a day. If anyone needs more healing, just sing out.

I'm still 8 short
N´Kai Sureblade |
I guess heading for the tavern next to the inn where the group is staying at makes the most sense
Upon arriving to the tavern, N´Kai cheerfully ask his companions "So, what are you all having? Hopefully we can exchange some tales about ourserves." before heading to the bar to order.
As they wait for the drinks, the elf looks genuinely relieved to leave the perils of the day behind, and you can tell from his body languaje he starts to feel at ease. "I will contribute by sharing with you how what brought me to Lepidstadt and how Aethorduil here made himself quite a name after tracking a fugitive all over the elven nation on Kyonin..."
Aethorduil Faelaiien |
The bounty hunter gets himself a drink and everyone else a round of drinks and settles in to listen to N'kai's account and contribute from time to time with a comment of his own.
He then gets another round for everyone and shares his current situation.
The upshot of Aethorduils story is that he was here in Lepidstadt to capture someone who had done grave insult to the chastity an very young elf maiden - dead or alive. The business had been concluded (with extreme prejudice) the other day and Aethorduil was in fact looking to leave Ustalav... But I have not turned away from an injustice in the last 30 years of my life. If you require my aid in your own affair, to see justice served? You have only to ask. All that I ask in return is that I am treated the same as any of your number and am given an equal share of any earnings.

"I am sure of both your abilities and that we could certainly use your help with the matter at hand, Aethor. But I happen to be the most recent arrival to the group and, as such, other are more legitimated to make that decision. For what is worth, though, you have my support."
Leik Fire |
Leik will duck into the alley as sneakily as possible, then remain as still as possible so as not to invite undue attention. gonna try to move a good distance back, like at least 20ft and try to hide behind/under some rubbish.

Edwin Drood |
Ed actually didn't get hit during the 'Attack of the Drunken Stupid People' battle. But he was still a few down from the previous boat/Dock fight. So he joins Aeth in the 'Full HP' dance. :)
Settling in as comfortably as possible in the taverns ancient wooden chairs, Edwin packs his pipe long and thoughtfully as N'Kai 'properly' introduces the newcomer elf. He nods occasionally, as if confirming something he already knew, but otherwise keeps silent for a while as he gets his pipe packed JUST so,...
Finally satisfied that his pipe is correct, he takes a long pull of the mug that Aethor put in front of them, then uses a minor magic trick to create a small flame on the tip of his finger and uses it to light his pipe.
"We have only just met both of you,..." He address the two newcomer elves. "And you have swiftly proven both your competence and character by your actions. Seeing as how we met you both under dire circumstances, it is almost as if fate itself were weaving you into our story."
"Fate. Or some other force,..." Edwin stares through the 4th wall at the GM.
"Either way. This current case is proving most peculiar. Both your blades and your eyes will be appreciated if you wish to lend them. Certainly I would appreciate a fresh perspective, as I seem to be running my personal logic around in circles."
"So, shall we accept both of these fine elves into our present company and bring them up to speed on 'The Case of the Framed Construct'?"
"Hmph. I shall have to come up with a better name for this case than THAT." He mutters as he looks to Rholf and the ladies for their response.
Larissa Brightfoot |
Larissa sits at the table, distractedly staring off into space, her beverage untouched. At Edwin's question, she comes to herself and looks at him... "Uhm, yeah, yes, please. Welcome and thank you." She promptly disappears into her thoughts again.
Edwin Drood |
Presuming the others agree? ;P
Edwin puffs his pipe.
"Well. It is not a short tale. But one worth the telling. And perhaps by recounting it to you I shall see it afresh my self." Edwin says, waving to the tavern server they shall require another round.
"Very well. I shall begin at the beginning. So that you have all of the facts before you as we discovered them." Edwin says solemnly. He leans closer to the table, his demeanor suddenly full of intensity and secrets. And inviting you to share in them.
"Our group arrived in Lepidstadt only a few short days ago. We came obstensively to return some books that had been recovered in our previous case together. Upon our arrival we learned that there had been several horrific crimes in the area recently, and that they had found, captured and arrested the individual they believed responsible. A flesh golem. But not an ordinary flesh golem, no. THIS one, named Dobitoc, possesses an undeniable self-will and mind of it's own.,..."
The haze of smoke from his pipe and the light from the half-burnt candle stub on the table combine to give Edwin a surreal, ghostly appearance.
Performance; (Oratory): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Hmph, Not his best recitation. He must still be preoccupied and frustrated that he hasn't already wrapped this case up in a bow! ;P

Leik Fire |
Leik will hide until the stranger passes and then try to start a big fire in the alley with the detritus so that it'll spread at least to the warehouse, and bonus if it spreads to what's just west. He has more grease and alchemical fire to get something going.
N´Kai Sureblade |
N´Kai listens carefully to Mr. Drood´s words and says: "So, we seem to have some solid leads that Dobitoc did not commit most of the crimes he is been jailed for. Although we know for a fact that he was indeed captured after the assault on the university library."
The elf thinks for a moment before concluding: "I can´t help but wonder whether all this was some kind of cover-up to steal that "Seasage Effigy" professor Crowl was telling you about when I met you."
