Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
I follow my own path. Kronin Thistleknot, a path that is watched by the light of the Black Moon he says in both elven and kenderspeak.
Returning to Kenderspeak Ah, Serinda Elderwood, a member of House Mariner and a wizard of some repute in the lands of the Silvanesti. What ever became of her?
High God of Krynn
In response to the question from Terevlais, Kronin responds, "Serinda Elderwood is out sailing the world and helping those in need as she always does. Despite starting the resistance here in Port Balfor, she was never the sort to stay in one place for long. Her only true home is the high seas. Now i'm the one in charge of making sure the revolution continues."
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
The next time you see her, please report to her that there are many who are working for the good of the Elven Diaspora.
Jor Majere
Keeping his mouth shut most of the time and just listening at things Jor was paying attention but was occassionally distracted by other sights.
Seeing as they were lead to some other place inside a ship and meeting one of the elves ah, they all look the same but somehow this one is a bit unusual looking... even a bit feral compared to Terevalis, maybe a Kagonesti? but not saying anything. Seeing as that Gabriel had the role of speaker Jor was more than happy to let him continue in his new role

Kronin at the mention of Kendermore looks more interested at the party and says, "So you're off to Kendermore eh? Few would be willing to brave the journey there over the Desolation and fewer still would be mad enough to enter the ravaged city. It lies in the very shadow of the Peak of Malystryx, the largest and most volatile volcano in all of Anasalon. I've heard that there are Ogres and Dragonspawn abound in the area and they aren't too friendly to people they meet and have been taking kender they can find as slaves or food. If that is not bad enough, the ruins are infested with the Forlorn, undead Kender that spread madness, suffering and terror. Watch out for their bites because it spreads a horrible disease that can turn Kender into more Forlorn. Say, perhaps we can make a deal. If you'ed be willing to free some Kender slaves while you are there, I'ed be willing to have my friend Elijayess act as a guide for you through the Desolation as well as provide you with rations and camping supplies for the trip."
Elijayss then speaks up to Kronin "Are you sure they can be trusted Kronin? They have a black robe among their ranks. His motives in this endeavor are suspect."
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
There is no need for suspicion Wilder Elf. Would a knight of the crown travel with me if I was as suspect as you claim. I believe you and I as representativesoon here of the Elven people can be very good friends. he says in elven.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
Concentrating on the Staff of Magius to cast an extended suggestion spell. Ellijayess, if the kender and knight do not have a problem with me being in the group there should be no problem with us being friends. We might have more in common than you think he says offering his hand in friendship after the spell is cast.
Not sure if this is reasonable or not so I will leave the DC to the DM.
High God of Krynn
Weaving the spell Ellijayess seems to be affected by it (Made a private roll). He says, "I suppose you are correct. Despite your origins, the resistance needs what help it can get. I can guide you through the desolation safely to Kendermore. I have survived many excursions into the Desolation and there is few who know it better than I."
He shakes Terevalis's hand.
Alathea of Solace
"We would be more than happy to help the Kender in need Kronn. Goldmoon told me many tales of your ancestors bravery during the War of the Lance. Before e travel to Kendermore though we would need to speak with Darven".

Kronin nods to Alathea and says, "Its a deal then. Ellijayess, please show them to the safe house where Darvan is currently staying."
Ellijayess says, "Certainly Kronin. I shall show them the way."
He looks to the group, "If you are willing to go now, please stay close. Traps have been placed around the town and I would not like to see you hit any of them by accident."
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
Of course my friend. We should away so as not to bring any undue attention from the Dark Knights to ourselves. he says patting the Kagonesti on the back.
High God of Krynn
Kronin nods and says, "Thank you for assisting the resistance heroes. I will have my men and women start to prepare the rations and camping supplies. They will not be of great quality but you'll need to take what you get here. Once your business is done with Darven, return here and we'll keep you safe for the day. The best time to leave town is at night where the heat of the Desolation is less oppressive and the Dark Knight patrols are less prevalent. We have our ways to smuggle you you out of the town. Good luck to you all."
So Ellijayess leads you out of the hideout and into the Gloom town. He takes an indirect route through the ramshackle homes. As you pass through a confusing maze of dark alleyways and back streets you hear a commotion ahead. The sound seems to be approaching at an alarming rate.
Going to investigate you see a man dressed in a non-descript chain shirt, shield and explorer's outfit covered in dirt with greasy hair is engaged in battle with 4 draconians (2 Kapak, 1 Baaz, 1 Bozak) as well as a massively large Silvak draconian with a large sized greatsword. The man would seem to be outmatched but the fact he is holding a blue steel blade that emanates an aura of cold means he's far more than he seems. Around him you see 1 stoned draconians and 1 pile of acid hinting that the man has already taken the lives of some of them. He's riddled with battle wounds but is still defiant despite being outnumbered 5 to 1.
The Silvak hisses at him, "Give up Solamnic scum, you can not defeat all of us! You're worth more to us alive than dead. Beg for mercy and the Dark Knights might not execute you."
The man bloody from battle wounds yells, "Never shall I yield to the forces of evil fallen one."
He rises his blade into the air and it shines brightly with holy energy as he yells out, "Est Sularus oth Mithas!". Revealing his holy power though has cleared the Draconians of any doubt of his affiliation.
The Silvak smirks and says something in draconic to the others with him. Those who speak draconic hear "As I suspected, he's a Knight of Solamnia. We're fetching a good pay day for this one."
Just then your group is noticed by one of the draconians. He hisses in common to your group, "Stay out of this if you know what's good for you."
What do you do?
Gabriel, The Just
Fearing the worse Gabriel would call on his bond as they move making his blade keen for the next 5 mins
Hearing the words Gabriel knows a brother is in trouble. He doesn't break stride as he draws his blade and calls out.
"Est Sularus oth Mithas! Your will not face this darkness alone brother.
Init: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Gabriel will charge in to help striking at the closest one.
Sword Swing: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 14 + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
High God of Krynn
Since I don't have access to any mapping software at the moment we will use theatre of the mind for this combat. Assuume you're currently in a 50 by 50 area with scatterings of rubble and a number of 10 foot streets you can use to exit the area.
Seeing Gabriel draw his sword the Draconian hisses, "The Knight has friends. Kill them! Kill them all."
So lets roll initiative for each of these guys. For quick reference I am applying the Draconian Races on top of a NPC codex character in order to make these guys more of a challenge than the average Draconians.
Baaz Fighter Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Kapak Rogue Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Kapak Ranger Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Baaz Bard Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Armored Hulk Silvak: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Darvon Coldblade: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Elijass: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Athola
Round 1
HP: 47
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Athola will attempt to flank a kapak, to hit it with the shard unsheathing it once in position.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22 If needed to get into position
Shard attack: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 4 = 12
Being too focussed in getting into position, she miss places her aim on the agile kapak.
So there the wonderful low rolls still happening...
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
Iniatitve 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
On his turn the elf will call upon his magic and cast a spectral hand in the shape of a green dragon.

Alathea of Solace
Round 1 - Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Alathea beseeches Zivilyn for an ally to aid in this fight.
Summon Monster II - Giant Celestial Worker Ant. Which will arrive of course, at the beginning of next round.
High God of Krynn
Actually Alathea it will arrive on the start of this round as she rolled a natural 20 on initiative and thus has a surprise round to start casting the spell.
Alathea acting fast starts to conjure an existing spell.
The Kapak Rogue already in position takes a lunge at Darven with his short sword from behind trying to flank him and put the sword through his kidney.
Backstab: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Fortunately the blade fails to penetrate the chain shirt that Darven is wearing and bounces off harmlessly.
Next up Alathea brings her celestial ant into existence ready to take the orders she has to give it.
The Baaz bard starts orating something in Draconic, basically words of encouragement that bolsters his allies giving a +2 to hit and damage to all his Draconian allies. Other than that he moves back putting the Baaz between himself and the rest of you.
The Silvak Draconian attacks the defiant knight who goes by the name Darven. He attacks twice with his massive greatsword, his jagged bite and his tail that appears to be bladed. He is Power Attacking with all his attacks.
Sword 1: 1d20 + 17 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 17 - 2 = 22
Sword 2: 1d20 + 17 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 17 - 2 = 29
Tail: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Two sword blows slice into Darvan but fortunately he is able to deflect the bite and the tail with his shield.
The Silvak Draconian attacks with a flurry on the defiant knight who is using the name Darvan Coldblade. The Silvak attacks with a flurry of strikes that hit with great power and precision. He is Power Attacking with all his attacks.
GS damage 1: 3d6 + 17 ⇒ (2, 1, 6) + 17 = 26
GS damage 2: 3d6 + 17 ⇒ (5, 4, 6) + 17 = 32
OUCH! 58 points of damage! Darven is nearly sliced in twain by Silvak's massive blade. Only by his skillful blocking of the bite and tail saved his life. Still another flurry like that will surely take his life.
Darvan Coldblade yells, "Kiri-Jonlith grant me strength!" and touches himself healing 7d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 2, 2, 4, 6) = 22 damage. He then steps forward boldly and counter-attacks the Silvak Draconian. Having unleashed a smite on the creature last round he prepares to strike back against him.
His AC may seem a bit low but as he's not in his full knight armor at the moment he only has an AC of 18 (Or 21 when he smites a target and is attacked by it).
Sword Swing 1: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (18) + 21 = 39
Sword Swing 2: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32
Sword Swing 3: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Two of his hits strike true on the Sivak although the cold of the weapon is ignored by his natural resistance.
Hit 1: 1d8 + 6 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 12 = 19
Hit 2: 1d8 + 6 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 12 = 26
Striking back for 45 damage.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
Just because he is a knight does not make him good, look at Derek Crownguard. HA! Just because I wear the Black Robes does not make me evil! HA!
High God of Krynn
The worker ant runs at the draconian and attacks. It smites to improve its damage.
Ant attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9
The bite scratches ineffectively against the Silvak's armor
Elijayayss takes out his bow and fires an arrow at the flanking Kapak rogue. He uses deadly aim to add +4 to the damage
bow: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 - 2 = 21
damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 + 4 = 16
The Kapak is wounded badly by a masterful shot.
High God of Krynn
The Kapak ranger looks at Terevalis casting a spell and decides to take a shot at him with his bow.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Probably a hit for 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9 damage
Round 2
Top of the order, the Kapak Rogue being shot by an arrow hisses and moves towards Elijayss and takes a swing at him with his short sword.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Elijayss's armor protects him from the blow however.
Gabriel, The Just
Draven's first attack would have done another 12 damage as it's and evil dragon.
"Kiri-Jolith guide my blade"
Gabriel calls on his divine power and smites the large draconian after seeing it deliver two massive blows to the knight. He breaks engagement with the one he just charged and enters the Frey with the large one.
AC: 25 on the AoO on the one he is moving away from, AC: 29 on moving in to strike the large one.
Sword Swing: 1d20 + 18 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 18 + 2 = 25 Assume flanking with Draven or the ant.
Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 10 = 21
So I'm here all day, and will use the in laws computer tomorrow and sunday, but the wife and I are going on a cruise to Mexico Monday-Friday so I won't be posting. Please bot me as needed.
High God of Krynn
I included that with his damage. The +12 damage was included on both of his attacks. As for a straight line you can get both the Baaz and the Bozak draconian with a line attack.
The Bozak keeps speaking in Draconian and points his hand at Gabriel and attempts to blast him with a ray of fire.
Scorching Ray Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 8 + 2 = 22 VS touch
This does 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 1) + 1 = 14 fire damage to Gabriel.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
The Black Robe, wincing in pain at the arrow that was unleashed on him gives the kapak a smile and begins to draw upon his magic casting a lightening bolt at it [hopefully getting something else in the line of fire]

High God of Krynn
The Silvak wacks at the annoying ant with its tail and snaps at it with his bite. As he wants to take Darven alive he attempts to hit him with the flat of his blade to knock him unconscious. Still power attacking on all attacks. He forgoes the bite this round.
Sword 1: 1d20 + 19 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 19 - 4 - 2 = 15
Sword 2: 1d20 + 14 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 14 - 4 - 2 = 9
Tail Slap: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 9 - 2 = 11
Bite: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 - 2 = 21
The bite does 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15 damage. Does that kill the ant?
Fortunately with the Silvak trying to use the blunt end of his sword his blows are clumsy and they are easily avoided and deflected by Darven.
Darven yells, "Kiri Jolith is with me beast. May the light of his power give me strength to bring an end to your evil."
Sword Swing 1: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
Sword Swing 2: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36
Sword Swing 3: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Sword Swing 2 Critical: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21
Sword Swing 3 Critical: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
No critical (The Silvak has an AC of 27)
Sword hit 2: 1d8 + 6 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 12 = 19
Sword hit 3: 1d8 + 6 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 12 = 22
41 Damage
He strikes the Silvak 2 more times with his sword cutting through his massive armor and wounding the Draconian further.
He also lays on hands on self for 7d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 4, 1, 6, 5) = 24
The Baaz attacks Gabriel with his falchion 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17 He also does an AOO when Gabriel moves 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 and also fails to hit. The Baaz makes his spell resistance against the lightning bolt and is uneffected. Roll Spell Resistance for the Bozak as well.
Gabriel tries to attack the Silvak but his weapon deflects off the massive suit of plate mail he is wearing.
Alathea of Solace
Round 2 - Initiative 21
Alathea casts a spell on Terevalis.
Bear's Endurance +4 to his Constitution.
Jor did not go Round 1 or 2. shall I roll for him?
The Any has 18 HP, I will direct it to attack the Sivak again.
