Tess shakes her head. "She has been tortured beyond saving. Perhaps it was for the best, but it is still a shame."

Workbenches and tools litter this large room, around an unusual looking forge. A variety of bladed weapons hangs on the walls. A shelf on the north end of the room holds polished humanoid skulls.

A6

This room may have once been used as a storeroom, but its metal shelves are now haphazardly arranged and draped with thick cloth or metal plating. The result is a claustrophobic warren of passages throughout the room.

A7

This room's shelves are relatively bare, with a few strange cylindrical objects with strange writing on the side lying in sparse piles on the shelves.

"These androids are defective. Their mental deformities fill me with anger and disgust and shame. I do not like them. Let us herd them into a room and shut and lock the door. They are too dumb to get themselves out." This is the most emotive that any of the group has ever seen Kharamell.

Strangely, Valt feels the same as Kharamell. He did not feel remorse for the people they killed on Scrapwall, nor the knuckles gang back in Torch.

But somehow, those deformed androids make him feel sad.

Decided to at least stop this nonsense, Valt examines the device to find a way to shut it down.

Celestial:
Defective units must be destroyed and his parts recycled. They are a waste of valuable resources.

Surprised, Valt answers to the angel: We are not going to do nothing, just shut down this machine.

That said, Valt continues his examination.

Valt examines the machines. They no longer seem to have any power left, regardless, he turns off physical switches to keep the machines un-powered.

Nyssa regards Kharamell speculatively. His outburst was unexpected. "Yeah it would be good to keep them out of the way." For now at least.

Speaking Androffan, the suli tries to coax the androids into the room with the least clutter.(A7)

"Come, sit in here. A quiet place for you to rest."

If the androids go in, Nyssa collects the cylinders from the room. She doesn't know what they may be for, but leaving them in the room for dimwit androids to play with seems unwise.

The defectives are Kharamell's secret shame and he hurries to get them out of sight and locked away. After that he goes to Valt. "What were you able to find out? Were you able to stop more of them from being created? Is there some way to fix them or should we just....." Kharamell does not finish that last sentence.


Nyssa manages to corral the androids into the room with no resistance. They stare at the floor, their hands, or their feet, and don't do or say anything else.

Currently I don't think we can do nothing for them, but who knows what we will find deeper.
Although it was already out of power, I set the machine at halt, just in case there is a way to power it.

The collapsed stone here splits t h e immense manufacturing hall in half. The jagged rock fall does not quite reach the south wall, leaving a space ten feet wide that allows access into another large chamber beyond. The floor is littered with bloody clumps of flesh and broken machinery shaped like arms and legs.

A10

The western half of the manufacturing hall contains immense cylinders, bins, and furnaces covered with thick layers of dust. Evidence of an ancient battle remains here and there on the walls in the form of scorch marks and broken machinery. In particular, the heaped remains of a strange insectoid automaton lie in a ruined heap to the west, partially buried under fallen rocks.

Tess walks in to the room with her keen eyes, suspiciously gazing around, in particular at the strange insectoid automaton.

There doesn't seem to be any magic in the room. The insectoid automaton is definitely out of order and not waiting to pounce on you when you get closer. It is severely damaged and has scorched marks on its body.

A line of runes is printed above the two doors on this room's western walls. Several tattered, strange suits of armor hang in shreds from hooks in a wide alcove between these doors.

In Androffan, western door is "Nanotech Laboratory" and south is "Canister Access."

Kharamell goes into the Nanotech Laboratory.


The walls of this large room are lined with dark panels of glass, tiny buttons, and other mechanical devices. A set of metal tanks sit to the west, while a chair mounted on a swivel on a short platform sits to the northeast. To the northwest, a section of flooring has been ripped away to expose a tangle of metallic plates and coils of brightly colored cables. Two round tables sit in the room's center.

Three gearsmen appear to be searching through the debris. They don't turn around to Kharamell's entrance.

Encouraged with Nyssa's words, Valt decides to give those usually dim-headed robots a try.

Alexis and Kharamell know they are usually robots connected to the Technic League. Other than their hardness from their tough adamantine exteriors, they are able to charge weapons they hold in their hands with electrical energy.

After Valt speaks, the three robots turn in unison to the doorway. One of them speaks in Androffan. Then one of them begins to emit a loud blaring alarm.

Androffan: "Alert Lead Gearsman BBX12. Intruders are impeding our search."

The gearsman move towards Nyssa, armaments glowing with electrical arcs. Two of them stab spears at Nyssa.

The southern door opens revealing a stranger looking gearsman. It is holding a laser rifle in its hand. It chirps in Androffan. "Eliminate all intruders. We have not yet found Casandalee yet."

Iophiel's blade doesn't manage to even wound the gearsman in front of her, unable to penetrate its armor. From behind the angelic eidolon, Tessara's arrows zoom past plinking off the adamantine plate.

Kharamell's EMP pistol's electric shots cause the gearsman to shake for a second as electricity arcs around it.

All Iophiel's attacks were below AC. Tessara's first attack hits but is reduced to 0 by hardness.

Nyssa's blade is knocked aside twice by the gearsman, but she manages to slice down through its shoulder with her adamantine blade.

Two of the gearsman strike at Nyssa with electrified spears. The one in the back falls back, pulls out a pistol and tries to shoot Kharamell through the humanoid cover.

The augmented gearsman takes a step back, pulls out its rifle and fires three fiery orange-red blasts at Iophiel.

The first gearsman's spear misses by a hair, as Nyssa twists out of the way. The suli knocks the second attack aside with her shield, then launches into attack, her sword scribing blurring arcs through the air.

I've used 4/7 rounds of elemental assault. Nyssa has a 21 AC with shield and not charging. Including haste + bard song for attacks and damage.

Nyssa's electrically charged attacks cause sparks to fly as she disables the first robot, then strikes the second gearsman. Kharamell pierces the
gearsman that shot him. It shakes for a moment before stopping completely.
