"As you wish, my sire." Lorenzo says as he prepares the "wine" for his meeting with his brother. Once the task is finished, he quickly nods to Lord Benne and takes his leave.

Arriving at his brother's home, Lorenzo knocks on the door.

Pausing long enough to allow Dominic his distance, Lorenzo enters his brother's home.
"It is good to see you again, Dominic. Have you come to a decision on which path you shall choose, or do you have more questions that I may or may not be able to answer?"

Lorenzo Cappelli
"Please, Dominic. Try to calm yourself, although I recognize that is not a trivial request. Why have I done this? Simply put, by making this choice I have the ability to bring back my beloved Constancia within my reach. Surely you would agree that I have been a shell of my former self since her passing."
Contemplating his brother's remain questions he responds, "There is no known way to reverse what has been done." A moment later he adds, "Although there are many things now possible that were not before, so who is to say that can not change."
"I ask you again, Have you come to a decision on which path you shall choose?" Please make your choice knowing that should you decline, no harm will come to you."

Cris ponders the plan as laid out before him "What you say makes sense, well all save the part about bonding Renaldo to me. However, I guess I will have to trust you that it will work" He sounds rather skeptical, but willing to give it a shot.
Then the rats come, and he's a little freaked out, more so when Niccola bites into several. But soon the smell of blood overpowers him, and he joins in the so-called feast.
Ready to move forward when you are good sir!

"Wrong or not, Dominic, it is the choice I have made and there is no turning back for me at this point. I ask you yet again, brother, will you join me on this journey?"

"For now, ensure that our business transaction to sell the business is completed in a satisfactory manner. I may need you to acquire certain things for me now that the sun and I are no longer on the friendliest of terms, for instance a bit of quality make-up so that my palor is not as noticable...fair warning to you, my palor will get even worse than it is now."
After Dominic finishes his "wine", Lorenzo says "Know that you can not speak of what Lord Benne and I are to anyone. Perhaps it would be a good idea to come with me and we can inform Lord Benne of your decision together. If you would prefer not to, that is fine. Otherwise I have much to accomplish this night and I will see you tomorrow evening."

Yanos Saint Germaine
Petrankov nods, "Welcome Saint Germaine. Come it is time to rest, the night draws to a close and tomorrow will be a long night. I have much to teach you and yet still have my own dealings to be squared away before the meeting I came here to attend begins".
"Waking" for the first time from a much truer "dead sleep" than he has ever before, Yanos looks about, allowing everything to fully seep in before moving. There are vague memories of some sort of battle. A savage one. Against who. No! Against what, he both knows and fails to understand at the same time.
It, no he, reminded him of both himself, but also much more similar to Milov Petrankov, his new dark father of sorts. Had he truly died last night? Was he dead now, or resurrected? So much was far beyond his simple mind, for everything seems to indicate the one, (he has no heart beat, he is cold now, not warm, and even on the way back to this new place, called a "haven" now, not a home, or a room, or an inn, but a "haven", all along the trip back, covered in muck, he looked out and felt little for the other people. Not lust for the call girls offering their bodies as wares, nor the prettier noble women in fancy cloths and high priced decoration. They had something he wanted, but it seemed, the impulses seemed to want them entirely. Not their, not their bodies. Not the comfort they might bring. Not their warmth laying next to you thereafter, . . . No. Wait. That wasn't true. Their warmth, yes. But, but it was more like a desire to take it. To steal it. To claim it from them.
And then there was the haven itself. This new place. The inn's staff seemed to simply agree to anything without question. This room was different. It seemed, too soft. To dark. But somehow that seemed safer as well. Though he was utterly tired. Drained, in so many ways, he lay down on the bed provided, and simply could not rest. No sleep, and then it was as if, as if he had simply shut his eyes, as if blinking, and then when they opened again, it was night once more. The beginning of night, at that. Something was off, but he could still tell, after years of working the hard lands, that the sun had just set without even looking at the sky. Only moments, perhaps seconds had passed since the sun had fully set.
Milov Petrankov said he would be in the common area, that I must meet him. Could I have slept through it?!?!?! "There is much to do" he had said. Scrambling to get ready, Yanos quickly finds he is already dressed, and there is little he needs to do get himself ready, so gets up and begins to make his way towards the common room.

The night of the 13th, Niccolo shows you how to feed blood to Renaldo to begin to make him your Thrall. He explains to you how the Blood Bond works. Niccolo also teaches you the Traditions (See the Campaign Info tab to read the Traditions).
By the second night of Downtime, the 14th, you find out that Ca Formosa Inn is the location where a Herd has been brought in for you and for your Sire. All Nosferatu will be feeding there on rotations unbeknownst to the Prince. You are to have primary feeding rights of course.
On the third night, your Sire returns to Ca Formosa and brings you out to introduce you to one of his friends that dwells within the city, a Father Acampora. Before you go, Simon tells you that the Father believe him to be an Angel from Heaven, he will believe the same of you because Simon will tell him to. ”It is important that you do not let that Mystique wear off my Childe. The Father is not influential within the Vatican, I suppose we can call it Avalon now, but regionally, he is very influential within the Church”. The Father is quite affable and well pleased to meet you, especially as you are a local whose identity as an Angel trapped here on earth he is happy to keep secret. RP opportunity.
The third night is where you finally complete the Thralldom of Renaldo. Niccolo suggests that the next night Renaldo be cleaned up for a meeting with Ansora. At that meeting the “agreement” with the Shadows of Venice, as Niccolo wants the Nosferatu to be referred to, will be revealed to Ansora. RP opportunity.
A few nights are lost simply hashing out how the agreement will work with these two underworld factions as you and Niccolo scheme as to the best way to begin to siphon money and influence away from Ansora and towards your group slowly enough that he does not react.
On the seventh night of Downtime, Simon introduces you to a Cainite named Alejandro. He is a Childe of the Prince you heard about Narses, he wishes to see the “miracle” Nosferatu for himself. RP opportunity. It is from Alejandro that you will learn Obtenebration. He gives you a bit of tutoring each night, Alejandro states that he believes you should meet with the Tremere when they arrive, he and they, could help you get to the bottom of the nature of your Embrace…
On the tenth night, Simon wishes to see your “other”family, the dark fey that your family worships in secret. Truth be told, even you know little about them except for the bizarre orgies that are hosted in your basement from time to time, it is really your other that allows that relationship to continue to exist as the line runs from her side of the family. RP opportunity.
By the 11th night, Simon is well pleased with your progress and begins to teach you of the other Clans. He wishes that your ability to feed from something other than the Herd or rats be improved upon but that is a minor issue to him. Niccolo will also give his thoughts as to the other Clans though he does it over each of the 12 nights of Downtime:
Assamites – Simon – Honorable and skilled at their craft. In my travels I have often sought their protection, even when I did not need it. Their devotion to a heretical religion saddens me but it is God, not man of Cainite that must judge their souls.
Niccolo – Stay away, an arm’s length away lest they touch you with their foul powers.
Brujah – Simon – They have fallen a long way from their ideals. So far back where they I was not even born. Ignore their complaints and try to keep them calm, lest you are forced to manhandle them into a submission as it is no easy task.
Niccolo – Here we interact with them very infrequently. They are perhaps the least focused Clan from a standpoint of they are comprised of a bunch of loners, their wandering makes them a good source of information from outside the city without the agenda of a faction behind it.
Cappadocians - Simon – An affront to God, as if our mere existence is not blasphemy enough, they seek to pierce the veil between life and death.
Niccolo – We dealt with them a lot before the Giovanni moved into the world of the Cainites. The Giovanni really left us alone, I hear they are gone, good riddance I say. Let’s cultivate relationships with the new Graverobbers in town.
Followers of Set - Simon – They have surrendered their souls to a false God, can there be a worse example of our kind save those who worship Demons?
Niccolo – Useful for sure, rich mortal networks. You should meet with Sadir, he is a Cainite who can get just about anything…
Gangrel - Simon – Honorable wanderers, while I employ Assamites in the east, I seek the assistance of the Gangrel in the west to move unmolested and undetected when I choose.
Niccolo – Bunch of savages you should have little contact with if you stay here in the city.
Lasombra - Simon – Narses is a creature of darkness but I see hope for him. The rest of his dark Clan is blinded by the shadows of their own ambitions.
Niccolo – Narses is the man who allows us to stay here and thrive where in other cities we are looked on as less. No better Prince to be answering to, despite the fact that his Clan wanders into dark places.
Malkavians - Simon – Trustworthy allies who can often give untrustworthy advice. Beware taking them too literally or not literally enough, all with them is a riddle to parsed out to seek the greater truth of what they say.
Niccolo – Lunatics, observant lunatics but would you trust a lunatic?
Salubri - Simon – There are those who see them as holy, close to the Divine. Their powers involve the stripping of ones’ soul a blasphemous practice which should be put to a stop.
Niccolo – Crusaders as entwined with the Catholic religion as the Assamites are with the Islamic religion. Perhaps the Jews have it right, less fanatics there methinks – after all a fanatic is not a far step from a lunatic am I right?
Toreador - Simon – The Clan which has single handedly crafted the glory of God’s divine image here on earth, the artisan is to be praised but never followed.
Niccolo – Useless, when they can manage to look past their mirrors they look straight past us, charge them double for anything they might ask for from us.
Tremere - Simon – Foul blood thieves. Diablerie is the stain upon the soul of the entire Clan which shall drag them to damnation.
Niccolo – Powerful in ways we cannot imagine. One of my brethren, cast out, has an alliance with one, if only we could leverage that relationship…
Tzimisce - Simon – Their hearts are as twisted and repugnant as our, well, my face. They mock the human form by destroying it, God created us a certain way, it is not up to them to change it at their whim. They create abominations which mock God.
Niccolo – What I would not give to have their powers? If every day I could adjust my body as I adjust my clothing. Ah well, a dream and nothing more.
Ventrue - Simon – The Lords of the west, of that I cannot dispute. It is they who tortured my brethren after they slew the Lord. It was also they that took our symbols as power for themselves turning the religion into a mockery that it is in many places today.
Niccolo – Patricians I a similar vein to that of Narses. Less deceitful but more overtly aggressive. I don’t trust em, that is why I live here, at least Narses leaves you alone if you abide by his rules.
You are told that on the 13th night, the official meetings of the Camarilla will begin, your attendance is mandatory.
Is there anything else you wish to do?
Have you decided on what your other 2 Clan Disciplines will be beside Mytherceria
Storyteller Shadow
The night of the 12th, Lord Benne sits you down and explains to you the Laws of the Night – the Six Traditions. (See the Campaign Info tab to read the Traditions). He is quite clear as to how they function and asks that should you consider violating these rules you consult him first.
Together you vet the Monks who serve the Giovanni. In all there are 20. Ten are very loyal to the Giovanni. Ten very much despise the Giovanni. Benne asks those loyal to the Giovanni to stay in the House for the evening while the rest attend to their normal duties. He leaves it up to you to determine whether you believe you can gather pertinent information from them or whether they should all be slain.
He is well pleased that Dominic decided to join with you. He tells you that after the third draught of your Blood, Dominic will be much more pliable and willing to meet with him.
BY the 4th night, he is right. Dominic moves into the House of the Giovanni, er Cappadocians.
The beginning of the next night is when you and Benne tackle the last laboratory of the Giovanni. To the great disappointment of you both it is completely empty. The spirit left in the room informs you that the Giovanni took everything in the room and placed it in the Underworld. It is not clear if it is still there on the other side of the portal wall or if the Giovanni have retrieved it from beyond as the spirit is bound to the physical world of the room as a helper.
The other side of the sub-basement is a very strange chamber. There is very little there. A coffin under a cot with a single candle sconce on the wall. The chamber next to this small one is a charnel house. On the wall are manacles to which it is clear several people were chained. Lying beneath these manacles are piles of ash and a stake for each pile. Lord Benne touches the pile, ”A former Cainite. Their existence was lived entirely down here, they saw and heard nothing as their eyes and ears were mangled prior to being Embraced and placed down here and only recently were they destroyed. I cannot tell more from this. Truly, these Giovanni are monsters of the highest order”.
Over the course of the next few nights, you question and release with the assistance of Lord Benne the souls trapped in the Giovanni torture chamber. From this you derive the 20 secrets i sent to you.
Your investigations of the top 5:
1. The Giovanni have been housing a Cainite in their Haven for over a century though his name is never used, they refer to him as the "Cloaked One" or the Serpent.
Make an Intelligence+Occult roll DC 7. Great success here may aid you in unraveling other mysteries on the list.
If you choose to keep the Giovanni Monks alive, make also make an Charisma+Intimidation roll DC 8 to convince them to tell you more of the guest. You need 3 successes here.
2. Ambrogino Giovanni has a Cainite hidden somewhere in the House that no one but he knows about.
How will you go about finding it? I will allow you make an Intelligence+Occult roll DC 8 for a hint if you need one.
3. Augustus Giovanni has hosted visits from Cainites who never announced themselves to Prince Narses.
If you choose to keep the Giovanni Monks alive, make a Charisma+Intimidation roll DC 7 to convince them to tell you more of these guests. Every success past 2 yields another name.
4. The head of the Nosferatu in the City is Nicolo. He has twice as many Nosferatu hiding in the city than Narses has actually allowed him to Embrace or shelter.
Do you wish to approach the Nosferatu to discuss this or bring it to the attention of Narses directly?
5. Prince Narses Shadow Court cannot be entered in Venice's Necropolis, any Wraiths that try do not return.
[ooc]How do you wish to explore this one?
Correct, these 5 are alone time consuming and the twelve days will be spent also learning Disciplines and how to behave as well as deciding what minions to keep and which to “liquidate”.
On the 10th day of Downtime another guest arrives, one which Lord Benne promptly bring to Narses for presentation. Her name is Lydia Varaschenko, a member of the Lamia Bloodline. You are to bring her with you if you plan to leave the House on business you deem dangerous and you are also to have her sit in on any meetings you may deem dangerous.
Lord Benne also gives you his thoughts as to the other Clans 1 each of the 12 nights of Downtime:
Assamites – Their strength lies in the act of murder and not the meaning behind what their actions bring. If you wish to bring death to another, they are an effective tool to use though their presence in the west is scarce.
Brujah – They display extremes of emotions and behavior which makes one wonder whether we are lifeless corpses after all. Beware raising their ire for after that a fight will be on your hands, one cannot reason with the Beast within, not their own or another’s.
Followers of Set – These Setites or Serpents concern themselves with evil and the corruption of all that is good for the greater good of their own dark master, the Antediluvian that spawned them. These evils are often merely debauched behavior. Look past their game when you seek them for information, truly there are few who studied death more closely than their Egyptian forbearers and one day you will seek them for some of this knowledge.
Gangrel – Most of their kind are little more than animals who hunt the wilds. If you find one to be more, befriend them for the roads you may one day travel in the Long Night are fraught with peril and you would do well to have one as a traveling companion.
Lasombra – They look to the shadows to answer the questions of the Divine while we seek the answers from beyond the boundaries of life. They are astute leaders but even those with their minds in the shadows pursue temporal power which will crumble to dust as all has before and will again.
Malkavians – As the Long Night has progressed so has the madness which has afflicted these doomed souls. Whether their affliction can lead to answers we seek is not known, to spend too much time with them is as risky as holding a wick and allowing it to burn down to low, you will become scorched and a mark will be left behind.
Nosferatu – These morlocks dwell in the shadows trading secrets. Leave them be, they bring us little in the way of secrets we would care to know.
Salubri – The Saubri are healers and warriors. For a long time our Clans did not see eye to eye, they saw us as practitioners of death magic whereas we saw them as hypocrites who deal in the trading of souls. When their progenitor woke a handful of centuries ago, he and my Sire became close, they correspond often on weighty matters. Since that time it is not uncommon for western Princes to have both Clans as advisors who work hand in hand.
Toreador – Materialists who ignore our work in its entirety as we ignore theirs.
Tremere – Rumors abound that this Clan has usurped the Ravnos of the East. A welcome usurpation, their magics may aid us in ways we do not yet know whereas the Ravnos are little more than less dangerous Gangrel. I have heard of some mystics that lead the Clan but they dwell in lands not seen since Alexander strode the world.
Tzimisce – As we study the dead body for its secrets so they study the living body to determine its strengths and weaknesses. Always strive to keep yourself at least two arms-length from one, especially ne enraged by the violation of its ”domain” a concept so amorphous in their eyes it is hard to ascertain what they mean.
Ventrue – The Ventrue set goals and attain those goals. Driven in a way similar to the way we are driven. With great frequency we advise them in the west, they are often our patrons in the arts of death, utilizing those powers we have developed for mayhem even if they are developed unintentionally. In exchange, they provide us funds and shelter. Our closest allies among the dead save the Lamia.
Lamia – Our bodyguards, the last line of defense in a world of uncivilized brutes.

"Lord Benne, perhaps it would be wise to allow the Giovanni loyalists to live a bit longer, albeit confined. We may yet learn information useful to us from them...if not what matter is a few more days of life for them."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the laboratory, 4th Night
Contemplating the destroyed remanents of the vampires, Lorenzo asks, "When we first met, you asked me for a sample of the ash that I collected from the warehouse. Is there anything we can learn from the remains of these vampires? It would seem to me that the Giovanni were trying to learn more of the vampiric condition and were using these unfortunates as test subjects, much like I have used corpses in my studies."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Investigations
1. Intelligence (Analytical)+ Occult Diff 7: 4d10 + 3d10 ⇒ (6, 7, 6, 3) + (4, 8, 5) = 39 - 2 successes
Charisma + Intimidation Diff 8: 3d10 ⇒ (8, 2, 5) = 15 - 1 success, no gain
2. "Lord Benne, if Ambrogino has another Canite hidden away in the building, do you believe that this would be a guest or a prisoner. The fact that he has hidden this one away would lead me to believe that it is an ally of sorts, given the power struggles present when Augustus was not here. Do you believe there is a secret chamber somewhere among the sleeping quarters?"
Pending Lord Benne's response, Lorenzo will search the sleeping quarters more thouroughly in hopes of finding an entrance. Likewise he will questions the monks, both Giovanni opposed and loyal.
Intelligence (analytical) + Occult Diff 8: 4d10 + 3d10 ⇒ (7, 10, 2, 9) + (3, 3, 7) = 41 - 3 successes if specialty is allowed
Charisma + Intimidation Diff 8 - Giovanni Loyal Monks: 3d10 ⇒ (5, 5, 7) = 17 - 0 success, no gain
3. Charisma + Intimidation Diff 7: 3d10 ⇒ (1, 8, 9) = 18 - 1 success, no gain
4. "Lord Benne, other than the obvious strength in numbers, what do the Nosferatu hope to gain by their gathering of forces? Surely they do not intend to try to tople Prince Narses. I think this is a bit of knowledge we should use to our advantage. In my short stay with the Nosferatu, it was brought to my attention that they bargain in secrets. I wonder what we may gain from them to keep their secret...or perhaps gain by letting that bit of information fall into the hands of the Prince or perhaps Brexiano. Both paths seem dangerous, but perhaps less so if we bargain with the Prince."
5. Again consulting his sire, Lorenzo asks, "If there is such friction between Prince Narses and the Giovanni, it makes sense that he would have protections from their ghostly spies. The question is who provided that protection? Was it our clan? The Tremere?, Someone else?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finding the Giovanni Loyal Monks to be little help over the past few nights, Lorenzo relents and decides that their lives must end. He consults with Lord Benne on the manner of their death, be it exsanguination or simple brute force, by Lorenzo's own hand or by the hands of the monks loyal to the Cappadocians....or even by the hand of the recently arrived Lydia.
"A pleasure to meet you Lydia. Tell me a bit about yourself if you would. It only seems appropriate if we are to spend the amount of time together as I imagin we will."
Each night Lorenzo listens carefully to his sire's opinions of the other clans. Making mental note of the differences between what Lord Benne tells him and what Simon had told him previously.

Brian: ”We must ensure that a ruling body controls the behavior of all of our kind. It is paramount that we are structured, chaos is dangerous to mortal society. Without mortal society we would not exist. We must be their protectors and guides as they make their spiritual journey to the next life. At the same time we must be wary of the minions of the Devil, for they seek to corrupt both us and Humanity”.
Andrew:”So how do we guard ourselves?”
Brian: "We cloak ourselves in Faith my Childe. The sight beyond sight you must master so that you can weigh the souls of those you face. Ally with those Cainites who would share your vision, minimize the influence of those who do not through judicious alliances".

During your Carousing at Elysium you meet three Cainites:
Simon of Clan Nosferatu who claims that his Childe has been freed of the curse of the Nosferatu by the divine will of God. He is quite excited by the news. He pledges his support for Lady Meridie because she is the least jaded by the events of ancient history. Simon see the Camarilla as an entity which needs to be led by those without axes to grind for past transgressions which took place before most of the current countries in the world much less current Cainites were born.
Milov Petrankov of Clan Gangrel who will be the unopposed choice for Clan Gangrel to sit on the ruling council. Who he supports is unclear as it is hard to pry any words out of him.
Lanzo von Saschen of Clan Ventrue who represents the Fief of the Black Cross. He will support Dark Selina. Lady Meridie is too young, Criatas is too old whereas Lady Selina is just the right age and temperment in his eyes and the eyes of his Master, Hardestadt.
You can interact with Alyssa now regarding what you have learned or wait for full Gameplay. It seems that Meridie has some support besides Jurgen which is good.
I assume you will keep these issues under your hat until Gameplay begins again?
1. Captain Menini is at the House recovering but he is extremely depressed.
2. Will you and Alyssa inform the Prince that Von Achern illegally sired Sir Martin?
3. Will you and Alyssa reveal Talisman’s true identity to anyone?

Whether it is your choice as the Childe of Rafael or whether it is your own charm that woos her, Aitana comes under your spell. You form an emotional and physical relationship with her. By the end of Downtime she is 2/3rds Blood Bound to you and is your human paramour. Rafael has no objections to this.
Your music soothes the frayed nerves behind the Dominated minds of the patrons. Rafael even brings along another Toreador known as the Artisan to listen to your performances. "It is here where your artistic flair lives. Coin has meaning to the Ventrue but you are not Ventrue, if you wish to rise in the ranks of the Toreador your art is what you must excel at". That is the advice she gives you after seeing your performance, Rafael seems to care not one whit for art the way she does...

The Laboratory
"Perhaps, but I do not think so. There are no corpses down here. Perhaps the Giovanni destroyed them as I do with our powers but they seem to revel in death and the macabre whereas we approach it analytically.
No I think those vessels were used to feed the thirst of a Cainite who could no longer sustain themselves on human blood. But was that person Augustus Giovanni, or the Giovanni's mysterious guest?"
Investigations
1. Intelligence (Analytical)+ Occult - 2 successes. [i]It is very conceivable that the Cainite down in the basement was a Follower of Set. Serpents are one of their monikers. Also, they have Obfuscate as a Clan Discipline which may have been another way of saying "cloaked one".
Charisma + Intimidation - 1 success - no luck, they seem more afraid of the Giovanni then you. Based on what you have seen of the Giovanni handiwork thus far, you are not all that surprised.
2. You search for secret passages but find none, you suppose when they can use passages to a netherworld real world secret passages are not even worth the bother.
Intelligence (analytical) + Occult - You suggest that Lord Benne scan the entire House with Aura Sight. He does so, underneath the very bed you sleep on is a false compartment, inside is a staked Vampire who appears to be a shriveled up corpse!
What do you do?
3. Charisma + Intimidation - No luck.
BUT, make an Intelligence (Analytical)+ Occult roll DC 6 to glean a thought regarding how this secret intertwines with another secret.
4. Lord Benne smiles, "Have you a Nosferatu that you are on good terms with? Perhaps you should seek him out and discuss this very same with him. It is not worth sharing with Narses if you can get something from the Nosferatu in return for keeping it". You can do this now or wait for Gameplay to begin.
5. Lord Benne shakes his head, "I do not know. Perhaps if we awaken the staked Vampire from his slumber he may have more insight based on the excerpt you discovered. After all, if he has powers that the Giovanni found interesting he may have some secrets as well that we may find interesting..."
"I am here to keep you from being reduced to a pile of ash. Prove you are worthy of protection fledgling and perhaps we shall talk". Lydia is not much of a conversationalist.

I see you are going back to the beginning of Downtime! :-)
Milov is waiting for you there in the common room. A few mortals loiter about and all seem to work there.
He stands and greets you gruffly, "The first night is difficult. You have done well not tearing into the mortal around you, that is good, those who cannot hold back their thirst do not live long.
It is real important that you maintain control. Unlike other Cainites, when we lose control our Beast comes to the forefront. Our features and mannerisms become like the beasts in the wild making it hard to interact with humans.
Ask me a question you wish to know but just one. I have much to do that you will attend to with me but I have little use for conversation while doing so".
Lorenzo Cappelli
Investigations:
2/5. "If it is possible to do so, yes we should awaken this vampire in hopes of finding out what he may know. I imagine it would be wise to restrain him in some fashion first, yes?"
3. Intelligence (Analytical)+ Occult Diff 6: 4d10 + 3d10 ⇒ (10, 1, 4, 2) + (5, 6, 2) = 30 - 2 successes
4. "Based on previous conversations, I believe I am on fairly good terms with Simon of the Nosferatu. I can seek to discuss this with him if you believe that to be wise. Given the nature of the topic, I do believe it would be wise to have Lydia accompany me though."
Alessandro Khadaji
He tells Alyssa about the politics, mentioning those he met and their stances.
Alessandro commissions the building or purchase of a ship for Captain Menini. A sleek armed merchant vessel, treated against fire.
He does his best to coax Menini out of his depression.
Sir Martin, he wasn't fully certain what had transpired. There were others more qualified to address that.
Talisman... There was a dilemma. He asks her advice about him, and if she's sent word to the Earl.
"Cantor"
|
He looks down at these strange claw-like nails he seemed to grow last night, after dying, understand, at least in part, what his Sire was referring to. "The question will wait. I have many, but now, I feel a callin' to act. To do. Let us go. I learn by workin' wit' my hands anyways."
Storyteller Shadow
2. Lord Benne agrees and binds the Cainite to a chair with several layers of rope. He then feeds the vampire the blood of one of the, underperforming ghouls who has been useless with information and far too loyal to the Giovanni.
Pulling the stake out almost immediately provokes a reaction, the Cainite howls in agony. "Are you sent here by that Giovanni bastard to torture me more? I will yield no more to him after his promises were broken!"
3. If the "cloaked one" IS a powerful Setite, he may well have used Obfuscate to allow other Cainite guests to visit the Giovanni undetected.
4. Lord Benne nods, "Proceed". Unfortunately, you are unable to find the Nosferatu... Will have to address that during the Conclave.

Alyssa considers the information you have gathered thoughtfully.
"Perhaps this Simon has the right of it. Certainly anyone the Black Cross supports I must oppose so Selina is out.
Criatas is not known to me, certainly it will be between this Meridie and the Elder".
OK, the ship is commission but not yet completed as Downtime draws to a close.
Menini is feeling somewhat better but you believe getting on a new ship is the only way to get him 100% back.
Alyssa has sent word to the Earl on what you discovered from Talisman, she wants to wait for his response before proceeding with it. "If what you say is true, this Talisman would be beyond my abilities to challenge physically, mentally ad perhaps even politically".
Storyteller Shadow
Petrankov seeks one named Talisman, for all his obvious skill at tracking and the leads within the Vampiric community he follows with, Petrankov simply cannot find the Cainite.
"This bastard may be playing a waiting game with me. My impression is that he is a Malkavian, if so this may have all been one big prank on his part to lure me here for some nonsense...
I will teach you to hunt, properly, once this business with other Clans has concluded my Childe." He then goes on to give his opinion of the Assamites (see your earlier Downtime post.
That is all he says to you for the entirety of the rest of the first night.
The first night as a result of failing to find Talisman is a bust.
The second night, refreshments arrive.
Lorenzo Cappelli
2. "Please, try to calm yourself...if we wished you harm, why would have bothered to revive you? The Giovanni no longer are in control of this haven. Who is the Giovanni in question, and more importantly who are you?"
Andrew the Hardy, Lord of Moray
Downtime Andrew the Hardy:
"Aye! Then tha answer is always faith an tah gather together tha faithful fer tha good, whilst resistin tha devil an all his werks."
Edit the letter to lave word with Federico. Copy to Federico as well
Andrew and Brian take an downtime opportunity to visit the new pipe weed farm, though Brian had warned him of the potential dangers Andrew found much to his surprise that the pipe weed seemed to flourish in his presence, Brian saw this as a sign of God's blessing....
"Tis still tha matter o tha chained soul bound into servitude o a vile nature. Will tha path o graves decay upon tha body free tha soul from bondage, err is some other method required?”
The idea is like burning the bones with salt gets rid of the ghost thing…
Storyteller Shadow
I am Yeti Samedi, Childe of the Baron. It seems I was his prisoner and now", he looks down at his bonds "I am your prisoner".
Lord Benne chimes in, "The restraints are to ensure that you are under control. We wish to converse not combat with you. How did you end up here?"
Yeti shakes his head, "I was captured by foul Giovanni Ghouls who located me in Adrianople. I should have known better than to trust a Spectre but my Sire commanded me to seek out information related to... something important. It turns out the information did not exist. It was a trap set by the Giovanni. I have been here ever since well however long ago that was".
Storyteller Shadow
The pipe weed is good but not exactly the same as the weed growing on the Giovanni plot. Make an Intelligence+Hearth Wisdom roll DC 7 to ascertain why.
Brian shakes his head, "Perhaps, I have never explored these powers beyond their limited application which eases the disposal of our herd.
If this spirit is located within the House of Giovanni you will need to discuss its banishment with Lord Benne. You can do so in a few nights time, once the Conclave begins. Perhaps his Childe will be a more sympathetic ear to the plight of the damned than a hardened Cainite such as Lord Benne".

Haven't had much free time since Friday, just managed to read my Downtime. Will post a reply tomorrow hopefully. If you need to move forward, perhaps we can complete things via PM instead
If you reply as regular Gameplay advances that is fine but you will have to pull double duty responding to Downtime and current time posts. Not a big deal, just spoiler tag your Downtime stuff in the in Gameplay thread. Let's not drag it out too long though in case some things in Downtime have an impact on real time Gameplay.
Lorenzo Cappelli
"What pray-tell is the something important you were seeking information about. It only seems fair to tell us, God only knows how much long you would have been trapped if my sire had not found you."
Lorenzo reaches to begin undoing Yeti's bonds as a show of good faith, but will not actually do so without Lord Benne's say.

Andrew the Hardy Downtime
”Tha plants err less lush tha they was at tha former farm,,,I wonder.”
Intelligence + hearth wisdom
4d10 ⇒ (8, 4, 9, 2) = 23
Andrew surveys the land itself, the water sources and the soil while he ponders the differences, though the farm is larger and will produce more he fears the quality may decline…..
****
”I unnerstand, an yet tha ghosts flicker in tha shadows all around seekin tha light an whisperin, as of yet I know not wha it means. Methinks it is tha soul reachin out askin fer tha help it rejected when I was unable tah help.”
Keeping medium, my thought on it was having his faith and being alive there was a barrier to the spirit realm, but being undead and having faith he can now see/hear that world, perhaps drawing them nearer over time…..
”Aye then Lord Benne’s childe is to whom I shall inquire, perhaps tha childe knows tha process o bindin a soul, my thoughts are only by knowin how tis done ken it be undone.”

Venice by Night – Monday March 24, 1309
The thirteen days pass by very quickly for all of you, some are busier than others during this time. None know what to expect when this highly anticipated night arrives.

Venice by Night – Monday March 24, 1309
Cantor
You awaken again in your room in the Palazzo Abadessa. This is the night according to your Sire that you will be officially announced to Prince Narses.
As you make your way down the stairs, he sips lazily upon a patron whom he sends stumbling away once he notices you.
”Make a good impression this night. You will met many of our kind for the first time. They are quick to judge with long memories. Are you ready?”
