No, not yet, masterwork only
Will pick up gear shortly, once we have a handle on what the adventure is likely to entail I will go shopping, but I don't have the cash to buy stuff and THEN find I need different stuff :p

It is everyone's choice. I have about 2200 gold since I had not purchased anything major before. I would like a +1 Falchion (mine is currently masterwork). However, I think that the person who is going to be hardest to find items for is Attalas. I think that we should all chip in a little so that the big man can get a magic weapon. I would also chip in for Ragnvald to get a magic sword. I think the best option for me is to get a Mithral Shirt as this should bump up my AC and reflex by several points over my Scale Mail I am currently wearing.

I have about 650 gold from the first two modules we went through. I never had enough for good armor so all I have purchased was a masterwork falchion. I think that we have gotten like 1500 or so each through the first two modules, not sure though.

Ragnvald Hrolfson |

So overall maybe about 3000 gold over 6 levels. Wow, okay so what are we really needing as a group? Don't think the extra one damage for attalas's sword would really work out for us. Maybe some oils of magic weapon for when we come across incorporeal things and we need it? AC is a thing we need. Ragnvald is still sitting at 14 AC. Saves are also a thing. Attalas definitely needs his big ole hands on a cloak of resistance. Let's focus on defenses first. We also need a wand of curelight wounds. How we've manged without a solid source of after combat healing is a credit to the fact we kill things before they have a chance to hurt us too bad. That's not going to last.

He made a calculation on the overall money. My share would have surpassed the 900GM you gave for the book and the cup (what I called trinkets, sorry if this was the cause of the confusion). Since they were the first magicks Kosti acquired on his journey, I asked if I could keep them as part of my share (thus receiving 700 instead of 1.600GM). I have not yet put them on my sheet, but nobody seemed to have a problem with that.

I agree that we need better defense, but we are at the level where DR and incorporeal are going to start to kick our butts. This is why I thought that getting one magic weapon, probably a great axe or great sword for Attalas would be a good idea. We are likely to start finding magic weapons in our travels, but finding large magic weapons is less likely. I think that the greataxe is preferable as I have Butterfly Sting and can grant Attalas crits, but it is his call as he has been using a greatsword I believe up until this point.
I plan on getting a mithral shirt. This will allow me to get the full benefit from my Oracle revelation and will actually increase my AC by 1 and my Reflex by +3. I would not mind getting +1 armor and I have the cash for it, but as I posted before, I think that getting better equipment for the big guy should be the first choice.

Was tossing up switching to Falchion actually, as 18-20 seems like a better deal than 19-20. A pure 20 weapon is just unsexy - though I get where you are coming from... maybe I need a 'golf bag', Jez can warn atty when to get the Axe out. Raggy is about right though, some potions to splash around might be a good stop gap, even some scrolls or something
Ready to do Shore to Sea

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

If anyone needs to borrow any funds to purchase better armor and/or a magic weapon, please let me know. I have about 1100 left. If not, I will get a cloak of protection or make that chain shirt magic.

Ragnvald Hrolfson |

So I'm getting a wand of cure light wounds. Something we've been missing for a while.
I'm also tossing in 200gp into the "I don't want Attalas to fail a save on a diminate person and kill me fund" i.e. getting him a cloak of resistance. If we all contribute 200gold he can get one easy.
Next I'm grabbing some potions and oils to make up for our lack of magic weapons. In reality all a magic weapon gives us numbers wise is +1 damage. However what we need is to bypass DR. So that's what the oils are for. I feel like I'm missing some gold somewhere in all honesty.
In any case.
4 Oils of MAgic Weapon one for each of the maniacs.
and some other assorted stuff should top it out for me.
Honestly Attalas could use something like a Scythe if Jez is going ot butterfly sting him often. x4 crit is about the same as 18-20/x2 math wise.

On the evening of the great feast held to celebrate the return of the Vernal Key to Azurestone, you find yourself sitting on a wooden bench with tankards of mead and beer in your hands, you are approached by a man in his late forties. His black beard shows traces of grey and his sun-tanned skin is crossed with wrinkles.
Greetings...may I seat myself next to the heroes who recovered the Vernal Key and conquered the Jarl's icy fortress

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

Jez looks over at the big Ulfen without any realization of how her statement might be misconstrued.
I don't know why he would have tried to bite your arm, every self respecting goblin knows that the leg and rump are much more tender and taste better.

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

Jez shakes her head:
Would probably still be tough as old shoe leather. Just think of beef, would you prefer tenderloin and sirloin? Or chuck and brisket?
The blue haired girl proceeds to take a deep drink of her mead and then looks sadly at the mug which appears to have sprung a leak due to the lack of alcohol remaining in it.

Mobo is broken from his drooling stare at Ragnvald's arm when he hears the large man mention tossing him over a cliff. Mobo fixes his beady eyes back on the haunches before him.
"So..." Mobo manages between a fist full of beef and another fist full of possibly beef. "Who you?" He asks their bearded guest.

DM Zyren / Heart of Journeys |

The man still stares at Ragnvald when Mobo breaks the spell and asks for his name
My name's Olvord...I'm a merchant from Blackcove, a remote place at the shores of the Hellmouth Gulf in Cheliax. I came to Azurestone just by chance but once I heard of your deeds, I just had to ask you for help...Something is happening in my hometown, something hard to put in words. People disappear and there are nightly raids but we don't know from where and by whom.

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

After taking another large bite of a leg of some rather overgrown bird, Jez looks confused at Mobo:
Why is his ox cold?

Attalas |

"You think me an eejit? People going missing on raids, so you think you find a friendly Ogre and talk him into coming to town with his Goblin friend, and then you claim rewards moneys for finding the culprits and everyone points in shock and terror and screams out, 'grab yer torches and pitchforks its a goblin!' and poor Mobo taks the blame, just because normally Goblins is to blame... you trying to stitch up my friend Mobo?" Attalas raises a highly suspicious eye and his hand gravitates towards the hilt of his massive blade "Maybe I will take Mobo there and I can get the rewards money eh?"

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

Jez picks a stringy piece of something out of her teeth and then looks at her companions wondering where the conversation will go next.

DM Zyren / Heart of Journeys |

Relieved that there is at least one more sane person at the table, the man quickly turns all his attention to Kosti
Yes, of course! If you could kindly come to Blackcove and investigate what is behind the nightly raids? And if it is "something" stop it? The pay...mhm...how much do you usually demand for such a task?

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

Jez looks up from her meal:
Well, that sort of depends. What other treasure are we likely to find, and are we going to be allowed to keep it? A skilled party of adventurers is not easy to come by, especially one such as ours with our diverse background and abilities. You tell us what you think solving this problem is worth, and then we can decide if it is worth our wile.

Ragnvald Hrolfson |

"I should put in a clause that notes any betrayals will be dealt with harshly." Ragnvald says finishing his ale. "It seems to happen a lot. We have enough treacherous skulls to make the ogre a necklace. The pay better be good, even in the best of days I'd not enter Cheliax with less than an army and vow to decapitate every hellknight and black priest I came across. The Lord in Iron respects their prowess, but not their right to live."
