I expected the Yeti's to charge. Next round, the archers fire.
Since she has not posted in nearly three weeks.
Nymeria casts Gravity Bow.
I assume that she would have cast Mage Armor before the battle while we were setting up.

Kostinantio Vishki |

0:Detect Magic, Daze, Acid splash, Prestidigitation
1:Color Spray
2:Scorching Ray, Invisibility
Kosti is hesistant to waste any of his few remaining spells on the yetis. since the jarl is still waiting for the misfits and the ragtag 'army' is a better weapon then most of his spells. Thus he works a cantrip to burn the skin and fur of the yeti closest to him.
Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 damage (if applicable) 1d3 ⇒ 1
yikes, that was about as effective as trying to stare one of the yetis to death

Attalas |

Attalas looks about at all the amassed forces, furrows his brow and looks to his fellows.
"Here I stand,
Broken hearted
Came for a fight
and no one started
why we stand here
no one knows
instead of fighting
it was talking we chose
I didn't come to stand around
I came to put our foes in ground
Were staring at some smelly yeti
my sword hand itches and grows sweaty
It is time to make our charge
swinging swords and living large
so join with me in a bloody quorum
or I'll see you one day in the halls of Gorum.
CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!
Attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23 +2 if he has a clear charge line to the nearest 'tough' enemy.
Damage 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (3, 5, 5) + 15 = 28
Cleave if possible
Attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Damage 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (4, 5, 1) + 15 = 25

Attalas |

The irony is that we have three barbarians in our PFS games that were doing the same thing at the same level because our cleric simply used Enlarge person and Bulls strenght. For 2500gp or so you can be permanently Enlarged, and walk around with some Bull Strength capacity, and if you feel inclined also try get access to Lead Blades and you will do far more than above right from Level 1. Size matters :p

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

Yeh, Lead Blades + Enlarge Person would make Attalas' damage somewhere in the 5d6 or 5d8 range, not sure exactly.

DM Zyren / Heart of Journeys |

As the yetis draw nearer - surprisingly better organised than you would have expected - the goblins let their arrows fly and even more surprisingly, some of them really hit. And even though it's only a nuisance, their arrows still hurt.
The Ulfen advance cautiously but Attalas impressive display inspires them too and many answer his onslaught with cheers and battle cries.

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

Jez sighs and then hurries to stay next to her larger companion.
I should have been at N4 before because I stepped forward to speak to the yetis before.
Move to J4.
Attack I5: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Damage: 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (2, 2) + 7 = 11

DM Zyren / Heart of Journeys |

Sorry Jez, I have surely overlooked that!
Mobo hits a burly yeti in the groin which is answered by the goblins with joyful snickering
Bullets to the balls!
The yeti attacked by Jez is rather irritated that such a small figure can cause so much pain!

I have a crit range of 18-20 - did not post the crit confirm before.
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
If I confirm --> Butterfly Sting to transfer the crit to the next person to hit the yeti.
If I confirm the crit: Hit this one Attalas, his neck is unguarded.
I forgot that Inspire Courage was in effect - +1 att/dam on my attack.

Not sure why I mistakenly said Ragnvald was resolved, he is still unresolved.
Jez confuses the yeti with her wild swing and the monster turns around to face her, letting his guard against Attalas down.
Nymeria somehow manages to shoot far above the yetis' heads and the goblin next to her nearly drops his bow because he is laughing so hard.
Kosti's acid drop hits a yeti right in the chest but the monster does not really react to the attack.

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

Waiting on good old Attalas next round - Inspire Courate + Bless + auto-crit if he hits. I almost feel sorry for the Yeti at H5.

Attalas |

Attalas maintains his broad sweeping swings against the Yeti, roaring his unintelligible battlecry; an emotional note mixing furious anger with unbridled entertainment.
Same attack pattern
Attack 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 22
Damage 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (2, 3, 6) + 15 = 26
...and Cleave.
Attack 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 25
Damage 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (2, 6, 5) + 15 = 28

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |

Attalas, did you attack the Yeti at H5? If so, you get a free crit from my Butterfly Sting.
@DMZZ - If I manage to kill any Yetis, I get a free Dazzling Display. Just letting you know so that if/when I take one down you are aware.

Attalas |

Yeah I did, didn't realise it critetd though, just read the details then! Wow, nice ability!
The first attack was even harder than the Ogre realised....
Mr H5, Take some more damage, kthx
Extra Damage 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (6, 1, 4) + 15 = 26
So thats a total of 52

DM Zyren / Heart of Journeys |

The yetis storm forward and terrible their attack is!
Human and goblin death cries mingle as the furry monsters barrel into your lines but Attalas and King Yeti somehow manage to stem the tide
second d6 is cold damage
Yeti attacking Attalas / Claw strike1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Damage1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 4 + (3) = 10
Yeti attacking Attalas / Claw strike1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Damage1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 4 + (6) = 14
Somehow Attalas isn't hit and in return is able to fell one of the yetis!

I should be at J4, not sure whether that would affect how the Yeti's moved/attacked.
Smiling as she sees the first Yeti fall, Jez calls out.
Archers, target the Yeti flanking you.
As she does this, she again swings her large blade at the yeti standing before her -I4.
Attack-falchion @I4: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 1 + 1 = 15 <-- +1 Inspire Courage, +1 Bless
Damage: 2d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 7 + 1 = 12
Unfortunately this time her swing is not quite as accurate.

Nymeria Tárkony |

Round 3
Nymeria takes aim over the heads of the goblins and shoots the Yeti who is coming up on their right flank.
1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 19
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Get that one! She calls to the goblins. Apparently she does better under some pressure...

DM Zyren / Heart of Journeys |

Will be corrected on the next map, Jez.
The yeti seems impressed by the fragile girl with the massive sword and decides that stepping back could save his life - clever yeti. The blade whooshes through the air without causing any damage.
The yeti trying to flank the amassed troops is not so lucky and Jez' arrow sinks deep into his furry shoulder.

Lol - I think you meant Nymeria's arrow. Jez is talented, but she has not yet figure out how to fight with two hands and simultaneously fire a bow.

Attalas |

Attalas laughs furiously at the fallen Yeti, and continues hacking with wild abandon.
Attacks the injured one to his right...
Attack 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 30
Damage 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (3, 1, 6) + 15 = 25
...and Cleaves at its friend to his left...
Attack 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 22
Damage 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (1, 6, 4) + 15 = 26

Jezbazeel Ruckskal |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

No problem - remember, Jez is the talkative one with the blue hair and the big sword. Nymeria is the one that tries to keep most of the rest of us from accidentally killing and/or eating villagers when we are travelling.
_____________
I have never read or really even looked at the Gunslinger class, but will try to post for Mobo.
Mobo
Seeing the yeti circling around the front troops, Mobo reloads his pistol and then fires at the yeti marked with Nymeria's arrow sticking from its shoulder.
Yeti white, yeti cold;
Yeti die, yeti gold;
Bullet hit yeti head;
Now yeti dead.
Attack-(touch I think): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
In Goblin, Mobo then calls to his troops.
Shoot yeti over there. While pointing to the yeti off to the side.

DM Zyren / Heart of Journeys |

While Kosti's cantrip doesn't do more damage than an oversized gnat, Attalas plows through the yeti-band like a fireball through a group of snowmen...luckily Ragnvald hasn't reached operating temperatures and slices only air.
Mobo does his best to be a good general and surprisingly some of the goblins even heed his call...some...
The fight gets uglier now that the yetis have time to use all their attack power...
Attack:
Yeti attacking Attalas / Claw strike1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Damage1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 4 + (1) = 9
Attack:
Yeti attacking Attalas / Claw strike1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Damage1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 4 + (5) = 14
Cleave:
Yeti attacking Jez / Claw strike1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Damage1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 4 + (2) = 11
Attack:
Yeti attacking Ragnvald / Claw strike1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Damage1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 4 + (3) = 13
Cleave:
Yeti attacking Jez / Claw strike1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Damage1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 4 + (3) = 13
You hear the cries of mangled humans and goblins from behind and from the left and you wonder about the morale of your troops...

Ouch, I thought I had been missed because of Attalas' 20 AC. Oh well.
I believe the second 1d6 is cold damage. I have Resist Cold/5, so I believe that I do not take this damage, please correct me if I am wrong. I am only going to record 9 damage at present.
_____________
Suddenly a little concerned now that her perfect skin seems to have a blemish, a bit of a flaw if you will where the Yeti's claw just rudely ripped a hole, Jez nonetheless continues to swing her big sword.
Attack-J5: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 1 + 1 = 18
Damage: 2d4 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3, 3) + 7 + 1 = 14
Once again a poor swing, but Jez smiles as it does draw some blood from the huge frozen creature before her.
