What about the Sir Rekkard's stuff? Nothing magical/of value?
Also, if we are splitting loot, we have the 500 from this thug to split as well now.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
Shiny or dirty, sometimes it is difficult to determine which.
Aren't we in Absalom? I would think that they would have anything, especially since the Mana Wastes are just to the south.
Ragnvald Hrolfson
So...
2500gp Coins
600gp Gems
+1 Scimitar? (Wade) 2315/1507.5gp
MW Bastard Sword 335/167.6
+1 Longsword 2315/1507.7
After adding and splitting 6 ways it's 1047.1 gp each. Not a bad haul. though I wonder now if Nymeria's even posting anymore.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
I will see what she is up to on another campaign she is in. Also, is Cordren getting a full split? He was only in for the last room or two.
Nymeria Tárkony
Nymeria sits by the fire, not payng much attention to anything going on around her.
I don't know what to do...I think the first thing I need to do is go see Master Ardolan...But can I leave this bunch of crazies and expect them to behave!? No, I can't...oh, what What are they doing to those weapons now? Oh--Hey, be careful with those, you don't know what they can do! Let me see... She says, examining the magical items.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Wow, I really have no idea about that one...
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
So who was that man? she asks.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
Suddenly realizing that Nymeria had followed them into the tavern, Jez grabs the elf and drags her to the table and then hands her a mug of ale.
Ya gotta drink a few of these, they really help forgetting about ashes - hic - I mean courthouses.
After a few more ales, Jez starts singing again:
Twelve awoke in the dusty room;
Six to bond, six to doom;
One by one the guilty died;
The jury was corrupt, so no one cried;
Judge and lawyer twisted and wrong;
Ogre and goblin noble and strong;
Justice has prevailed;
Now it is time we sailed;
Next stop far to the north;
So the taxman can be brought forth.
Perform(bad rhyming): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Intimidate(strange semi-drunk blue haired chick with a big sword, a goblin and an ogre): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Looking at the rest of the group.
Well, if we are going to travel together, perhaps we should be better equipped. We did find a nice assortment of weapons and gear in the courthouse. Sadly, none of it is equipment we use. No giant greatswords, no regular greatswords, no falchions, and no boom sticks.
Since giant size weapons are likely most difficult, I vote that we use some of this money to get Attalas a new magic sword for his size. I could use some different armor as this breastplate is quite confining, although it never felt that way before. Not sure what the rest of you might need, but we should get it early tomorrow if possible so that we can get moving and find this mysterious Varisian tax man.
Proposed purchases:
+1 Greatsword for Attalas - 100gp+600gp masterwork+2000 magic = 2700gp
Mithral Shirt for me - 1100gp (let me think about this as I am going Sorcerer on the next level, although it is only 10% spell failure)
Masterwork Greatssword for Ragnvald - 350gp
Masterwork Falchion for me - 375gp
More ammo for Mobo - price???
Masterwork light crossbow for Cordren - 335gp
Not sure what Nymeria needs
Total = 4860 + Mobo ammo
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
Proposed purchases: First Amendment
+1 Greatsword for Attalas - 100gp+600gp masterwork+2000 magic = 2700gp
Mithral Shirt for me - 1100gp (let me think about this as I am going Sorcerer on the next level, although it is only 10% spell failure)
Masterwork Greatssword for Ragnvald - 350gp
Masterwork Falchion for me - 375gp
More ammo for Mobo - 78
Masterwork light crossbow for Cordren - 335gp
Not sure what Nymeria needs
General - Wand of CLW = 750
Total = 5688
Total cash available ~ 6300
Possible purchases - a few scrolls for Nymeria to expand her spell capabilities.
______________________________________
Money per person
Attalas - 2700+125 = 2825
Jez - 1100+375+125 = 1500
Ragnvald - 350+125 = 475
Mobo - 78+125 = 203
Nymeria - 125+spells = 125+
Cordren - 335+125 = 460
(Cordren's crossbow can also be used by Nymeria)
Next cash to be spent on magic armor for Ragnvald, Mobo and Cordren --> hopefully we will get a magic great sword somewhere fro Ragnvald.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
Actually, drop the armor for me. It will only improve my AC by 1. There are better things to spend our cash on. Kegs of beer and pickled fingers sound good.
Attalas
Attalas probably needs better armour than sword at this point, so would look more like:
Masterwork Greatsword (100x2)+300= 500
Masterwork Breastplate (200x2)+150 = 450
Ragnvald Hrolfson
Same. I can get more bonuses to attack. It's harder to keep my AC up. What with my magnificent 13. Not quite sure how to go about it though. Might just go all out attack and deal with the pain as it comes. Nice thing about being a cleric is i dont really lack options. I'll think on it. Attalas is a one man wrecking crew by himself.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
True, that is why I have taken 1 level of oracle, lets me use my Cha in place of my Dex, nice advantage. Is there a real reason to spend money on masterwork armor? Just wondering.
So, the shopping list is:
Masterword Large Greatsword - 500
Masterwork Greatsword - 400
Masterwork Falchion - 375
Masterwork Light Crossbow (Nymeria) - 335
Masterwork Light Crossbow (Cordren) - 335
Masterwork Large Breastplate - 550
Masterwork Breastplate - Ragnvald - 350
Ammo - Mobo - 78
Wand of CLW - 750
Total - 3873 --> Leaves us with @2500 left.
Figure 500 for scrolls, we have 2k which is enough for a +1 weapon, or 2 suits of +1 armor
--> My vote is to get the Breastplates each at +1
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
Ok, so everyone add to your gear and coin. It should be 402 gold each I think. Say 400 after paying for the ale.
If we decide on any scrolls - I few enlarge person for Attalas would be nice - "Ladies and Gentlemen, please meet mega-Attalas." We can retcon that. I say we all load on the boat and head for somewhere colder and wester. Varisia, you have no idea what is coming your way.
Well, since that nice hairy fellow wants us to head to Varisia, I suppose we should secure a boat and start sailing. Nothing like the open sea and sea monsters to make your day.
Masterwork falchion added.
Nymeria Tárkony
Nymeria would rather stick to a longbow. If a masterwork longbow is not too much, then she will buy that. If so, she will stick with her bow and get some scrolls.
So: 375 for a MWK Longbow, leaving 25+6 for 31 gold.
OR
No longbow and a bunch of scrolls: 25 gp each = 16 possible
I could use some advice on scrolls. Anybody have any suggestions?
So far, ideas are
- Unseen servant
- Shocking Grasp
- Magic Missile x5
- Obscuring Mist
- Burning Hands x5
- Stumble Gap

You are going to get Mage Armor next level from your bloodline. But 1-2 Mage Armor might be good. Charm Person has benefits. I hate using scrolls for attack spells unless you are a pure buff/debuff caster as they get much better with level, and the scrolls are likewise much more expensive with higher levels. For instance Magic Missile will only do 2-5 damage at level 1, you might as well just use your claws.
.
Other good ones:
Unseen Servant, Charm Person, Sleep, Mage Armor, Alarm, Grease, Mount, Gravity Bow, Enlarge Person
- pretty much situational spells that you may not cast a lot and which have long durations. Gravity Bow would be good for you, your Long Bow will do 2d6 damage I think. You could ask DMZZ about switching Feather Fall for Gravity Bow as Feather Fall is pretty useless 90% of the time - yeh, it is nice when necessary, but that is rare.
If anyone else has suggestions, put them forth before we get too far along.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
Ah, although I also have UMD and can cast CLW. Also Ragnvald can cast CLW. Not sure about Nymeria, she has not leveled yet.
Ragnvald Hrolfson
I think I understand what she means. We've got three characters that can use the wand, and you can channel positive energy yourself. Maybe just have one or two potions as an emergency on the really off chance all three of us get knocked out? Don't really need more than that. After that you not die by making the other guy die way faster. :D Thankfully this group looks to be really good at that.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
Yup, as soon as Nymeria levels and lets us know exactly what scrolls she wants, we are good to go. Everyone should list exactly what they bought so that we are good on money.
Total for Jez - Masterwork Falchion - 375
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
1047.1 each. As I posted on the other page, I would get 1-2 more Gravity Bow and 1-2 more Mage Armor. You should get Mage Armor at level 3 from your Bloodline.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
You might want to check your character sheet. You have a bunch of skills which are trained only listed with bonuses, I usually list these with a +* if I do not have any ranks in them. (Knowledge(Dungeoneering), Linguistics, Disable Device, Handle Animal, Sleight of Hand) are the ones you have listed.
Also, you have a feat listed for second level, not sure where you got that one from, but you don't get a second level feat unless you are one of the classes which allows it (Fighter, Monk, etc.)
Third, some of your skills do not appear to be calculated correctly, Appraise for instance is listed at +8 when it should be +7 I think.
Look at my character sheets, one thing that I usually do is list the skills like this.
+* Knowledge, History (Int +1, Ranks 0, +3 Class Skill)
That way, I know that I have no ranks in the skill, but that it is a class skill and also that I cannot use it untrained (unless the DC is 10 or lower).
Since you have gravity bow memorized, you might just want to drop the Gravity Bow scroll. Nobody else can use it and seems a bit of a waste for 25gp.
Finally, if you plan on using your bow very much, I would buy more arrows. They are cheap, but it sucks to run out of them. If you are worried about encumbrance, one of us can easily carry the extras.
EDIT - Also, you seem to be missing one language. You got Elvish as a racial language. With 16 Int, you should have selected 3 bonus languages.

Ok, I think we're good to go on!
After the spoils of war have been divided and everyone had a bit of time to collect his belongings you meet again at the gigantic harbour of Absalom some days later. Your strange new emplyoer was able to book you a passage on a ship on which no one asks how mutant-girl, an ogre brawler and a goblin shootist managed to come aboard and so it's Captain Ezekiel "All-Sails-Full" Myrk who welcomes you on the "Black Dart".
The slender man with the thick black moustache looks rather like a pirate than an honourable sailor, but YOU know that the first impression can be very deceiving. The sun shines and a full wind blows and while the crew is occupied with loading the last supplies, the captain waits at the gang plank and says
Tally ho! Time to get aboarrd - all passengerrs wanting a safe trip to Magnimarr should get their arrses on my ship impromptu!
He has a broad Chelish accent and his voice is already annoying, but he smiles and his golden canines look very trustworthy...at least for Attalas.
Jezbazeel Ruckskal
I'm not a mutant-girl, I'm a lady. Admittedly when I b**** slap someone, they have a 50/50 chance of dying, but hey that's life (and death).
Oh, and Attalas should not have the Wisdom drain any more, so he should be slightly less unpredictable and impulsive (slightly less for an ogre that is).
Seeing the wide ocean before us and the bright sunshine above, Jez has a big smile. You can see the reflection of shiny scales at the base of the back of her neck as the wind blows her blue hair to the side.
Six were invited to play;
But they did not want to stay;
The court of the dead was the call;
And they searched every hall;
In the end justice was served;
Prosecutor, judge and jury got what was deserved;
Once free of the undead stench;
They went to a boat with a bench;
The Black Dart from Magnimar hails;
With wind filling its sails;
This trip shall be swift;
We will not run adrift;
Then all of Varisia shall we scan;
To find and return the tax man.

Ragnvald spares a moment to allow himself the pleasure of enjoying the ocean wind and the gentle rocking of the boat. It felt like ages since he had been near or with the sea. HE relished how it took him from battle to battle on its ever moving waves. For now he busied himself in small ways singing sea chanty's with the crew, practicing his swordsmanship, and chanting old ulfen sea rites in skald.
Mobo Bang-Dead
|
Disguise 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
At first Mobo keeps his hat low and hands tucked behind his poncho, but stepping on the ship quickly reminds him of the time he spent with The Captain and soon Mobo is rushing from railing to railing, looking down into the water, halting and being fascinated by knots the size of his head, and chasing any tasty morsel that resembles a rat.
Acrobatics 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Despite being a little green blur, he manages to avoid stepping underfoot of any sailors on board and it always just out of reach to be scruffed. Years of practice at avoiding tugs and pinches shine through while Mobo's curiosity and eternal child-like wonder are sated.
