Marzela moves to heal Lily further, but sees that she isn't breathing, and realizes that she is too late. Still in shock from that realization, she also sees the Garuda flying directly above her, likely coming in for another kill. She isn't sure if she can save Lily, but she knows that if she dies, she won't get the chance, so she heals herself instead, hoping she can stay alive in order to keep the others alive.

Haste: 4 rounds

While Carrakas manages to hit the retreating garuda, it doesn't seem that bothered either it or the incomprehensible barbs thrown at it in Taldane. He then charges towards one of the archers and while he manages to land a solid blow, falls just short of pushing him off the rafters. Meanwhile Millsy continues to chase after the fleeing mill worker, finally managing to land a blow and kill one of them.

Millsy Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Many of the remaining mill workers on the ground floor begin cowering, however the one unaffected man continues to move away, firing once at the quickly approaching Jaed, who simply ducks out of the way.

The archer next to Carrakas, seeing the trouble his bow-less companion is having with the tiefling zipping about, shifts his bow to a one-handed grip, draws his dagger, and attack Carrakas with it, but doesn't fair very well.
Dagger vs Carrakas AC 24: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 1 = 15

Glancing back, Carrakas grins as he sees the Garuda not retreating and that he is just barely in his range. Ignoring the two men surrounding him, he gathers up energy again and blade rushes to in front of the Garuda. He tries to be a little more careful with his aim this time, hoping again to knock the birdman off the rafters.

Pushing Blade Rush again, this time with no power attack. Note for the DM - as long as I am blade rushing about the place, I have -2 to AC, so my effective AC is 22, not 24. I don't think it has mattered at all yet, but for future reference. I'll try to be better about posting that every time.

@Finnrick: What's that acid damage for? Also, I would personally be more worried about the Con damage since the change in DCs hasn't actually affected any of his saves and the Con damage just decreased you max HP by 8 and your fort saves by 1. You should also clarify which person Millsy is going after since she killed the one next to her.

Garuda Reflex: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 12 + 1 = 17

The garuda squawks as both the electricty and Carrakas' attacks go through, however its defenses seem better than the archer and it doesn't budge from the beam its standing on.

@Carrakas: Actually, the bow-less archer hit you then.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Vastly injured once again, and knowing that even her best healing is unable to keep up with the Garuda's constant onslaught directed against her alone, Marzela isn't sure what to do. Then, just in time, she sees that the walls of the building are stone, and moves, bleeding, to the wall, casting Stone Shape.

She takes part of the width of the walls her structure touches, forming it into a half-arch 15 feet wide and coming out about 20 feet. It branches from the wall about 13 feet up, and then down to protect her and Lily from anyone above. It is open on the sides in the part where the doors to the west are (leaving them operable), and she leaves another open doorway to the east (right next to Finnrick), but overall it forms kind of a cave-like area. To the south it meets the floor just past the crate near Lily (green outline).

She is as careful as possible to leave the original wall structurally sound, shored up by the structure she makes rather than weakened, and not visible on the outside, but whether she is able to do so I leave to the DM... I'm definitely not a structural engineer.

It is from acid maw, on a successful hit Millsy deals 1d4 acid damage and it persists for 2 rounds. Every successful hit after resets the timer, and I guess it would be the next closest enemy on the ground level. Green, if not then blue

Haste: 5 rounds

@Marzela: Sorry, should have been more clear, but when you saved against the poison you were cured of it, so you don't need to make any more saves. As to the the cave, my math seems to think you have enough stone to build it while still making the building fine (Seems like the walls right next to you have about 190 cubic feet and you're only manipulating 18 cubic feet). Though it seems like with the area you're trying to cover the wall will only be a bit under 0.3 inches thick, does that sound about right to you?

Jaed closes in on the one non-cowering mill worker as Millsy bites and trips one of the cowering ones. Meanwhile Marzela creates a small stone cave off in the corner, Finnrick manages to hit the garuda with another lightning bolt, and Carrakas lands a solid blow on the creature.

Many of the mill workers continue to cower next to the wall, including the now prone one next to the large cat who offers up no resistance to the creature's fearsome biting. The one non-cowering man next to Jaed drops his bow, draws two daggers and swings at Jaed but the rogue merely ducks the blow. Then somehow, despite the cluttered terrain of the loom, he manages to step away from the rogue while keeping his guard up. 5ft step away thanks to nimble moves

Oh, sorry... I thought I needed to save everytime I got hit.

As for the stone shape, I thought it would be a little thicker than that. 18 cubic feet is like an 18x18 solid cube of stone, not just an 18x18 wall, right? I realize my structure is wider and taller than that, but is mostly hollow in the middle, so it seemed like plenty of rock to do the job without worrying about cracks.

As the garuda flies back once more, Carrakas swings his shield at the fleeing creature but misses. Frustrated, he then charges at one of the other men in the rafters, who grunts in pain as he's slammed into and almost killed. As if that weren't bad enough, the tiefling then shoves the man off his perch, but he just barely manages to catch himself before he falls.

Up in the rafters, the garuda curses as now the lightning wielder moves out of sight in addition to the other spellcaster. Not seeing any real threat to himself from the other people on the ground, he instead focuses his attention of the tiefling in the rafters and focuses all his archery prowess on the warrior. Luckily, the garuda's desire to act quickly combined with Carrakas' mighty defenses makes the heavy onslaught significantly less deadly than it might otherwise have been.

From the other side of the door you hear another spell being cast. Then you hear a woman's voice say (in Vudrani) "Get ready to go on my mark. We will eliminate thessse intrudersss." Followed by footsteps approaching the door.

Finnrick is standing where Lily was. I just want to keep track, because I can use my supernatural power on her up to a minute (10 rounds) after she died, which was round 2.

Marzela says in a low voice to Finnrick There are more bad guys coming from back there. I'll try to stop them, but be aware. and nods towards the double doors.

Marzela is somewhat overwhelmed, and quite worried. There is a lot of healing to be done, one of her party members is down, who she wants to try to help, and she also wanted to help in the battle more, but this immediate threat has to be dealt with first. She reluctantly uses the divine power that she was going to use on another well-timed Holy Smite and casts Wall of Bones instead. She hopes everyone else isn't getting killed as she tries to stop another group from coming to join their adversaries.

Anyone observing (Finnrick) sees a wall come into existence with skeletal hands reaching out from it at every point. It doesn't make you want to get too close.

Red rectangle is where Wall of Bones is. It is a 2-inch thick vertical wall, 5 feet deep into the room in front of the western doors. It is 10 feet wide at that point and 5 feet wide as it turns the corner to the south (it doesn't exist on the north and west, but is attached to those walls and the floor for solidity. It is about 13 feet high. (I had 8 five foot squares, so it is 10 feet high on all sides with 6 of the squares, and then the rest are used to fill in the space between that and the top of the cave as much as possible.)

The wall grapples anyone adjacent to it (CMB 8, CMD 18), and does 1d6 damage to anyone it successfully grapples, and the damage continues each round the grapple continues. Text of spell HERE. Rules for breaking the wall are also on that spell page. The wall lasts for 8 minutes. That's also my last 4th level spell.

Haste: 7 rounds

@Finnrick: There are no stairs or ladders or other obvious conventions means of getting up there in this room if that's what you're asking.

As soon as Carrakas moves away from the green man in the rafters, he pulls himself back up. He reaches a hand towards the blue archer and starts to say something to him when Carrakas appears on the other side of the archer and strikes him dead. The man's lifeless body plummets from the rafters and lands with a thump on the ground below.

Down below, Marzela creates a wall of bones, Finnrick starts casting a spell, and Jaed finishes off the one non-cowering enemy with his blades. If she really wants, Millsy can redirect her action, but all enemies on the ground are still cowering in fear next to the wall.

@Finnrick: How far can Millsy jump? There does happen to be a new bizarre stone cave just under the rafters in the northwest corner, which is somewhat like a giant ramp from north to south as it arches down to the floor, and which she could probably climb to the top of easily, knowing cats, and then jump the couple extra feet to the rafters (?).

Marzela moves to the doorway while taking a potion from her bandolier. She shouts out to her companions Kill them quickly. We're about to get more guests, and can't afford to be surrounded.

She then looks down at Lily, knowing that there isn't much time left and she needs to get out there and start healing other people as well, so she sighs, pressing a potion into her hand as she touches her gently, granting her what life she can.

Using supernatural power Gift of Life, explained HERE. Essentially, Lily comes back to life with 4 hit points. She is fully alive and can be healed, take any normal actions, etc., but will only remain alive for 8 rounds.

Marzela quickly explains the limitations of her brief restoration to Lily, in case she wants to try to run to a local temple, and tells her that the potion in her hand is one of invisibility. She will channel soon, but Lily's best defense might be if no one can see her while she makes her escape.

Not sure how you want to handle Finnrick standing in the same space as Lily now, so didn't mention it in text.

Carrakas sighs in frustration as the garuda flies away *again*. "This game grows old..." he mutters to himself. Game-rules-wise, I'm remaining prone, which solves the Finnrick dilemma.

@Jaed: You could probably get some wooden looms or silk to catch on fire, but I'm not sure how much of a distraction it would really cause. Google says silk is hard to light on fire, tends not to stay lit, and doesn't really produce any smoke, so you'd probably be relying on the wooden tools and boxes to start a fire, which are more likely to just burn up individually rather than spread to other parts of the room.

Meanwhile on the ground, Marzela revives Lily temporarily. The elf responds by immediately casting a spell at the garuda, managing to exhaust and hurt him as many of his bones creak and shatter from the spell. On the other side of the warehouse, Jaed swings his sword at one of the cowering men, but just barely misses. Millsy (bot) gets distracted by the sudden thump of someone hitting the floor, runs over to investigate. Finnrick, not wanting to leave cover, quickly moves from where he's standing over Lily. Hearing the noises of more people from the other side of Marzela's wall, casts a healing spell.

If she thinks it would be helpful, I'll have Finnrick cast CMW on Lily. I'm aware that it won't make her not-dead, but if she might be targeted, it would prevent her from being dead-again sooner. If she doesn't want it, he'll just cast it on himself instead.

Marzela, Lily, Finnrick:
From the other side of Marzela's bone wall you hear a cry of pain followed by two rapid strikes and then another two strikes. Part of the wall blocking the entrance crumbles, revealing a man in dark monk robes and a shaved head. The other side of the wall covering the door doesn't seem to be doing much better, barely remaining intact.

The 5 foot square on ground level to the East of the bone wall has been breached. It's western counterpart has 1 HP left. The wall failed to grapple the eastern most man. The western most man got grappled, took damage, and attacked anyway. The man in the back is too far away to be relevant for grappling. All three are men dressed similarly to each other (and not dressed like the mill workers). I will roll damage/to see if the ungrappled one gets re-grappled on their next turn.

The garuda, badly hurting from Lily's spell, dives off the rafters, out through the still open door, and out of sight from anyone inside the building.

The remaining mill workers on the floor continue to cower and the fallen archer stands up. While Millsy manages to get in a good bite, the archer just barely remains standing. He then drops his bow and pulls out his daggers.

On the guy that got grappled and attacked anyway, the spell says "All other movement is prohibited unless the creature breaks the grapple first." ... But I guess that could be interpreted just to mean the -2 to attack like with a normal grapple, so I get it if you are ruling they can attack anyway. They can get grappled on this side as well, if they move 5 feet to engage us and are standing, so I hope it still delays them a bit. (Summary of breaking stats for future reference: Each square has hardness 4, 14 hit points, and DC 19 Strength check to break in one attack.)

Lily, nice shot! And, just FYI, the cave is outlined in green and the opening to the cave is the second block down, to the right. Don't go near the red rectangle... it is a wall of bones.

I think the Cure Moderate for Lily would be ideal. I am going to channel right now, which will help both of them, but she is in much more need of HP... at least to stay alive for the temporary period that she has.

Oh, I missed the part where it has 14 HP. So actually one side of the wall has 1 HP remaining and the other has 8 HP, meaning it's still intact and nobody can see the people on the other side. The staggered man attempts to punch Carrakas as he moves to take Marzela's place.
Attack, stunning fist, vs AC 22: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 +DC 14 Fort save or fatigued

Suddenly, there's a loud crack as a bolt of lightning arcs through the air, hitting both Carrakas and Marzela, as a strange snake-like creature appears further into the room, her invisibility wearing off. It looks vaguely familiar to a creature you all fought long ago in the temple in the middle of the golden city.

DC 16 Reflex save to halve damage
Electricity damage: 7d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 5, 5, 3, 3) = 26

After resistances, 2 damage from the punch and 8 damage from the lightning bolt.

Carrakas starts to get annoyed when the little man in front of him manages to land a punch on him, but then gets angry when the lightning bolt comes flying in. Seeing the snake creature, his mind flashes back to his duel with the snake creature in the temple. His eyes narrow, he grins slightly, but also looks a little worried. We've really stepped into a nest here...

He reaches his hand back, and a lengthy electric whip forms in his hand. He quickly launches two different attacks at the foes in front of him.

Using kinetic whip electric blast as a full attack, targeting blue. If the first blow drops blue, the second attack should target green. Targets touch AC, and has to overcome spell resistance if they have any. It also stays for the round, for any potential AOOs.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Marzela takes 8 damage because of electricity resistance.

Since it didn't look like Lily was going to try to run to a temple, Marzela steps to the wall and casts stone shape again, this time merging the walls around the door to block the doorway to the outside, still trying to manage the threat and avoid her whole party being killed.

Just a note to keep track: She has 2/5 third level spells left. (Stone shape is permanent, unlike the wall of bones, so she needs one left to clear the door later unless there is another exit.)

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Did I screw up your plans Marzela? I'm sorry! I figured I only have a few seconds of life, I will use them to help my friends as best I can before I die again.

Female Aasimar Inactive

You didn't screw up my plans at all, promise. Marzela just thought you might run and try to find someone to bring you back more permanently, but this is a strange city, and that might not have been realistic anyway. She is happy that you stayed to help, but is worried that they won't be able to bring you back again (she can only do that trick once a day). As a player, I hope we find a way to bring you back, but you are making a definite difference in the battle, and I am loving it. :)

DM:
Jaed, Marzela
- Darkness (mage armor), green: 33, red: 27
- Lily
- Mill (green: dead)
- Sarapini(invisibility, shield, cat's grace, displacement 2, 9)
- Utkroza (cat's grace, shieid, displacement 3 round; 63), 120 ft above ground
- Carrakas, Finnrick
Fear ends next round and Mill workers can act

Carrakas kills one man and wounds the other as Marzela seals the building's front door. On the other side of the room, Jaed finally manages to kill the cowering man on the other side of the wall.

@Marzela: You just sealed the front door right? Or did you also seal the door to the other room?

@Jaed: You recognize the creature as an evil aberration known as a Dark Naga. They have no special weaknesses or vulnerabilities.

Also, I don't feel like trying to figure out how to bot two spellcasters, so I'll wait to see if Lily and Finnrick post their actions tomorrow.

Lily and Finnrick still have actions
