After Katiyana blasts the group with negative energy, Malnival flies in close to attack. He hits the sylph easily enough with a well-aimed scimitar, but the blade just skids harmlessly across her skin, and he is paid a healthy shock for the effort.

Maeve spins away and dives down to the floor panel, ready to reactivate it once the hexagon overhead dissipates. Harlan moves over to heal her. Overhead, his spiritual sword continues swinging at Katiyana, but has yet to connect.

Heng sidesteps Katiyana and activates his ring, slamming her with a ram-headed force. She makes a surprised noise, and though unharmed by the attack, it is strong enough to push her off the platform.

Listening to Heng and noting Mal's failure and assuming he gets a point out from the sword, Parity changes his Target and hammers the crystal on the wall.

With Suishen's direction, Parity runs across the gap to the north platform, slamming the crystal hard enough to crack it, though it remains mostly intact.

3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5) = 13 electric damage; DC 20 Ref save for half.

Round Seven

The force hexagon disappears, and the howling gale from the Storm Sphere resumes. As it bears down, Katiyana is unaffected. With another burst of laughter, she flies gracefully to the south platform. "The storm is my ally; you cannot use it against me!" Pointing a finger, she arcs another bolt of lighting, this time at Heng.

Also unhindered by the wind, the spiritual ally flies over to attack Malnival with a longsword of force, which is narrowly deflected away by his shielding spell.

Call lightning vs Heng: 5d10 ⇒ (10, 6, 7, 5, 6) = 34 electric damage; DC 21 Ref save for half.
Spiritual Ally vs Malnival: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28 {miss}

Malnival tears into the force spirit with his scimitar, but the attacks simply clatter off without any effect.

Maeve starts working the panel, but disorders the symbols in her haste. It flashes at her then resets. Sandru keeps hold of Harlan, who casts a ward against electricity on Heng as he lands beside him.

On the north platform above, Parity unleashes a force blast on the crystal, shattering it in a spray of electrical arcs. The light from the Storm Sphere flickers a moment, and Katiyana screams in pain as she lurches over.

"STOP!" she snarls, pointing a finger at Parity and unleashing a holding spell.

Parity's graceful landing earns him 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9 non-lethal damage. Also need a DC 18 Will save or be paralyzed for 9 rounds (barring spell block, I'm guessing).

Round Eight
Initiative Order: Katiyana [21], Malnival [18], Maeve [10], Sandru, Heng, Harlan [7], Parity [6]

Malnival jumps into the wind, using all his control to make a balanced landing. He blasts the southwest crystal with a pair of scorching rays, and while they blacken the surface, the fire doesn't seem to cause very much damage.

Maeve tries the panel sequence again, and is rewarded as a new force hexagon appears in the gap. Sandru keeps a tight grip on Harlan, who removes Parity's paralysis with a timely dispel. Heng moves to the southeast crystal and slams it with a powerful punch, sending cracks through it; his resistance protects him from the shocking backlash.

Freed from Katiyana's spell, Parity charges the northeast crystal and brings down Suishen hard, cutting through cleanly and sending crystal fragments flying.

Parity: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2) = 11 electric damage; DC 19 Ref for half.

Katiyana screams again as the second crystal breaks, and she falls to her knees. The Storm Sphere dims for a long moment, but then resurges violently. A wisp of sparkling essence is drawn from Katiyana into the sphere.

Gasping, she stands. "Sithhud, hear me! I call down your wrath on these who would defy your glory!" She points down and a burst of greasy miasma flows over the group. The spiritual ally flies to her side.

Unholy blight (all but Parity): 4d8 ⇒ (6, 2, 6, 8) = 22 damage and sickened for 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds; DC 19 Will save for half, not sickened.

Sandru Will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Round Nine
Initiative Order: Katiyana [21], Malnival [18], Maeve [10], Sandru, Heng, Harlan [7], Parity [6]

Malnival steps in on the southwest crystal, slamming it with his scimitar and sending cracks through the surface. Maeve renews her phasing spell while Harlan heals the group nearby. Heng continues to slam the southeast crystal, and finally, after a succession of rapid hits, it shatters.

"NOOO!" Katiyana wails, in obvious pain. The sphere flashes and sputters violently, and more of her essence is sucked away.

Parity charges across the chamber to strike the northwestern crystal. Using a force-imbued attack, Suishen destroys the crystal in a single hit.

Katiyana cries out again, curled over and sinking to her knees. "No! Stop. You... cannot!" Leaning on the edge of the platform, she points a weary finger at Malnival, directing another bolt of lightning down.

Malnival & Parity: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3) = 10 electric damage; DC 18 Ref save for half.

Malnival: 5d10 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 6, 9) = 23 electric damage; DC 21 Ref save for half.

Based on the prior 69 times you've used force lifts in the tower: The hexagon starts upwards at the beginning of R11. The wind will be blocked at the start of R13. The wind will return at the start of R15.

Based on the last time Maeve did it this battle. Initiated on Round 1 or just before and blocked on Round 3 making my assumption of Round 10 or 11 valid since she succeeded in Round 8. But apparently there are a couple more rounds added in for good measure. Now if its 2 rounds to start moving and 2 rounds to rise, it should be round 12 to be blocked, so either way, I don't get your math above.
