Delia looks just as stumped as the rest, she sighs in frustration. "Clearly the group we seek is hiding somewhere in Trunau, but where? Yes, let's return to the others. Perhaps they were more successful at their endeavors."

The girl follows the others towards the other part of the party. If possible she checks with Charm if Urnsul has been staying at the inn. Otherwise she just follows to the smith house, checking in the streets for any clue of the half-orcs.

Coming back into Trunau, Leira glances back at the Barterstones in the setting sunlight, spotting a new addition to the landscape. A large white sword has been painted on the eastern face of the largest rock in this area, visible above the roofs of the market stalls set up in the stones’ shadow.
If desired, you can swing by the Ramblehouse before going to the meeting point with the others, or pick them up and head to the Ramblehouse together. The inn is located centrally in Lower Trunau, so it is a quick stop either way.

Leira and her compatriots arrive at the appointed rendezvous point, but do not see any sign of the others as of yet. Shops are closing, the sixth bell is sounding, and the streets are growing dark with the last rays of the sun falling behind the city walls. It is a short way to either Clamor or the Ramblehouse, or you may stay put and keep a watch eye out for the others.

As Adir leads the others out into the street, be it a strange scent or a shifting in the shadows, but the druid notices a moment sooner that something is wrong. He starts to warn the others as shadows step from doorways or corners into the deserted street, dark and heavy with the impending nightfall. While a few rays still dance across the sky signaling the setting sun, here in the streets of Trunau it has already begun.
Five figures emerge into the alley, three to the north, two to the south. The furthest back held a raised crossbow, bolt at the ready.
Adir: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Surprise Round/Group 1 - Bowman, North Left, South Left
Group 2 - Groin, Morgrim, South Right,
Group 3 - Tuzak, Adir, North Right

The other attackers retrieve vials from their pouches and seem to be combining them together. Strange blue blades spring forth, jagged and rough, emitting a light vaporous fog.
The Bowman reloads and fires another bolt, Follow-up Shot at Tuzak: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 for Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8 plus Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 2, hitting the sloth deep in the neck.

You are in the street in front of Clamor. There are enemies at each end of the street, coming out from the building's end alleys or other doorways, etc. The combatants are about 20' away to the north/south direction. The street is about 20' wide, with the to be expected clutter and refuse about. Clamor faces the back of other buildings, no safe exit that way. You could retreat back inside or advance to reach the alleys or open street beyond.
As to the enemy, one is using a light crossbow, two others use some sort of strange chemical blades, Liquid Blades, not sure what the skill or DC would be to recognize such a thing as first level characters, two others have yet to draw their blades. I used north and south as general references, it would be just as easy to use east/west if desired. North for these purposes points to the direction of your rendezvous point.

If Delia and Songan insists to stay waiting Leira polymorphs her tattoo into her familiar weasel and tells him "Go look for Morgrim at Clamor's smithy, let him know we are waiting."
She then turns to the others and adds "Seriously, can we not profit our time? Perhaps go check with Charm about Urnsul? I believe if we don't solve this before tomorrow all of us might be on trouble."

As he approaches, the man slashes at Morgrim with his Liquid Blade: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4, missing as he fails to account for the dwarf's unexpected weapon, his head. Morgrim smashes the face of North Left, a pasty skinned Taldan of thin build and frame. Blood poors freely from the man's nose, his jaw probably cracked. The man staggers slightly, pulling free a single tooth, tossing it to the ground nearby.
Morgrim also gets a look at the crossbowman, who is a dark skinned Garundi with braids similar to those worn by the waitress. He has a silver clasp holding his collar, a dagger stabbing into a bowl.
South Right manages to create his liquid blade and holds it at the ready, but does not yet close on the group.

Tuzak takes a shot in the neck and lets out a horrifying shriek of pain, the kind that no one who loves animals can stand to hear. He looks around for the nearest attacker and spots the one to the right and north. As he runs toward the attacker, he barely registers that he has doubled in size. However, the awkwardness of his new size combined with the wound cause him to miss the mark badly.

The startled rogue fumbles with his liquid blade as Tuzak rushes forward, swiping but missing with his first blow. The man is another pale warrior, albeit this one heartier than his colleague, showing signs of Irrissian heritage. His smirk of condescension is quickly wiped away as Tuzak backpaws him as his attention is lost on the flasks in his hands, red furrows of claw marks gashing the man's forearm. Poison Application: 1d100 ⇒ 78 Not self poisoning
The man loses both his liquid blade and the poison to the street below, the concoction erupting into a bizarre crystalline puddle unusable as a functional weapon, the crystal shards shattering like fragile glass. Instead the warrior curses, drawing instead a steel shortsword.
The crossbowman takes a 5' step forward towards Morgrim but not provoking Tuzak at 10' reach, holding his bow but drawing a shortsword to swing at the dwarf Move Action. Shortsword: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 for Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
North Left, reeling from the headbutt, takes a 5' step to flank and stabs at Morgrim with the Poisoned Blade: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 for Blade Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 plus Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 3 and forcing a Poison Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16, the wound burning slightly but not chipping enough to poison the dwarf.
South Left rushes forwards to aid her companions, hoping to take Adir as he retreats from the street. She swings her crystal blade at the druid, Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 but misses due to the support the doorway offers the man. She snarls and hisses, Why could'n ya's juss leffs it all 'lones.

            Round 2
The cavalry is 90' out at the rounds start, with Perception Checks that confirm the sounds of combat, and indeed that is what the group senses, are coming from the area near the Clamor. Rushing in that direction they will come into sight of the street and the rear of the ambushers, at the end of this round. Your crew will be 30' out in a straight line to the rear of the combatants, closest being NR, followed by CB, and NL by Morgrim. I will add you to the initiative order at the front of Group 1 starting with the next round. I will assume those of you with weapons will have drawn them during transit unless otherwise indicated.
DM Roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Adir hears movement in the room behind the door, it seems Sara and Katrezra have detected the sounds of combat and are likewise coming to investigate the tussle as well.

Perhaps still reeling from the head blow he received from Morgrim, the NL assassin failed to spy Groin approaching, letting his guard down. The heavy hammer landed a solid blow to his shoulder, sliding on into the man's neck. The blow was too much for the man and he crumpled to the ground, falling next to the unconscious Morgrim.
The South Right assassin, leaving his partner to handle Adir, rushes at Tuzak from the rear, hoping to take down the sloth before he causes any further harm to their squad. He attempts to tumble down behind the sloth, to hamstring him. Acrobatic Tumble: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 vs CMD 13, closes the distance. The warrior then slashes at Tuzak's rear right leg, using his Liquid Blade: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22, Confirmation: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6, slicing at the sloth for Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 and causing a Poison Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 vs DC11, the sloth crying out painfully as bits of the blade break free, dissolving into poison coursing through it's leg.

With two of their number wounded, another down, the attackers seem to rethink their plans. The bowman runs off down the alley nearest him, fumbling with his pack as he goes.
The waitress doubles down on Adir, hoping to take him down before fleeing herself. She swings her Liquid Blade: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18, catching him high on his shoulder with the blade for Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 and leaving little pieces of poisoned blade in the wound. Poison Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18, Adir ignores the stinging and instead focuses the foe preventing him on getting to Tuzak. Sensing his urgency, the waitress takes a 5' step back to clear the man's line to his pet.
Groin's attack, posted earlier, missed the mark but served to keep the attackers on their toes. The man standing over Tuzak, fearing for himself now, turns and runs back up the street and down the alley he had previously emerged from.

The poison effect is 1 DEX damage. The poison is that derived from a small centipede. Save vs Poison: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23, but it has run it's course.
Tuzak shakily rises to his feet, swiping at the nearest threat. His claws barely register the strike across the nearest bandit's leg, though the bandit grunts as he deflects Groin's dogged attacks. HE then realizes he is alone in this fight, and decides valor is not for him. The man turns and Withdraws from combat, fleeing down the alley after the other thieves.
