Downtime Gnome Sorceror (draconic) 5

Furiel resumes his position in the second row. "Mikmek, we're coming, sing a song or something so we can find you."

"This could still be a trap, we should be on guard. Many creatures in nature use something innocent to lure in unsuspecting prey."

Mikmek's voice seemed to come from the west side, but you hear nothing from him now.

The squeaky chatter below becomes ordered .. repetitive.

Looking over the edge it appears to be ten feet straight down then another two feet where the far wall slops in like a slide.

Male Human (Ulfen) Skald Lvl 1 HP 10/10 | AC:16 | T:14 | FF:13 | CMB: +5 | CMD:15 | Fort:+2| Ref:+4 | Will:+1| Init:+2 | Perc: +3 | Speed 30 | Raging song 6/6 |

Downtime Gnome Sorceror (draconic) 5

Furiel pull out a vial of alchemists fire.

"Hang me over the edge Green without dropping me on my head. I'm chucking this ahead for light to see by and the added bonus of getting some mites alight too."

Male Human (taldan) Fighter (Aldori Swordlord) 03

Rogar seems a bit worried by the gnome intentions:"... as long as you don't end blowing us up too... be careful using that stuff in a place like this..."

Male Human (Ulfen) Skald Lvl 1 HP 10/10 | AC:16 | T:14 | FF:13 | CMB: +5 | CMD:15 | Fort:+2| Ref:+4 | Will:+1| Init:+2 | Perc: +3 | Speed 30 | Raging song 6/6 |

"Sure thing Master Furiel, just try not to hit MikMek if you see him."

The Green Man puts a meaty paw on Furiel, taking a good hold of his jacket and then dangles him over the edge, ready to pull him back up again if needed.

Furiel:

let me know how many feet you would like to throw it .. and if any angle or just straight. It will be a touch attack AC5 with a -4 penalty.

Downtime Gnome Sorceror (draconic) 5

Furiel wants to hit a mite with his flask, but he will aim for the largest open floor area well back in the tunnel.

1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 3 - 4 = 181d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Dam on direct hit (1hp splash)

"Thanks Green, that should help our light sitution and hurt some mites. I have two left now."

Furiel:

As you hang upside-down you can only see 15 or 20 feet in before it is pitch black. You can see the near walls and get a vague idea of the shape of the area .. and hurl into the darkness. I had it go as far as you could throw and hit AC5 with that roll
map
The vial explodes against the far edge of a narrow chasm, and the flames catch two mites -- who screech .. The squeak/chanting gets louder and angrier..
---------

Furiel hangs upside-down .. you hear the glass crash and woosh of the fiery explosion .. a faint warm glow flickers low on the west wall..

Downtime Gnome Sorceror (draconic) 5

"I think it is time to go down now."

Can we use the rope we tied to the roots to climb down this drop Furiel is hanging over?

If Furiel can throw another alchemists fire at one of the mites silhouetted in the fire, he will before being pulled up.

if mite can be targeted:
1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 3 - 4 = 71d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

yes . rope you have now hangs a few feet above the floor of this lower level, which is plenty to drop down safely .. (1d8 ⇒ 2<direction of miss)

Furiel:

Your second throw hits a wall where the tunnel narrows ... the flash illuminates the room .. a kobold is chained to the wall -- upside down, maybe alive -- near other kobold sized forms, covered in tiny squirming centipedes..

map

You hear another vial explode, louder this time and the light from it is a bit brighter..

Downtime Gnome Sorceror (draconic) 5

"Hey, Mikmek is a kobold. There are lot of kobolds down there, don't think many are left."

Furiel lets the big hitters drop down first and will be right behind again.

Norton follows Green already

Male Human (taldan) Fighter (Aldori Swordlord) 03

Rogar laughs:"If so we should liberate it from pests, don't you think?", the brevic swordfighter keeps defending the rear, blade naked in his hands.

"Well, it IS an up and comming market, better grab a piece before someone else does."

You drop down and see the flames on the wall nearby .. and further east across a narrow chasm, several mites are kicking dirt on a dying flame..
The light from Norton's shield and Rogar's blade illuminate the area up to the chasm .. tiny centipedes scatter away from the piles, and away from the hanging kobold..
