Eowithe Mournegrym |
"Oh, ho! Yer lookin' fer Tasha! Well, that's a right pickle that is. See, I happen to know somethin' about her an' where she is. Mebbe that's worth...two hunnert gold."
Once again Eowithe's scrutiny focuses intently on the old man.

He appears to be telling the truth. He also appears to be taking you for suckers...but you didn't really need a sense motive for that.
"One fiddy, then. Yew wants Tasha, and I needs some things meself. Fair price, 'specially if'n yew want ta get ta her afore the other Sczarni do. I heerz they got a price on her head."
Eowithe Mournegrym |
"Tell us what you know Fenster. It would be a shame if the Szcarni came here looking for Natalya , they'd be much less kind. A whisper in the right ear, who knows what could happen." Eowithe says.

Fenster cringed back like a kicked puppy from Eowithe's words. "'Ere now, don't yew be siccin' them Sczarni on me. They ain't got no cause t' be harmin' Ol' Fenster. I make sure of such. Talya's holed up in a run-down building just up the road there. Burnt out boarding house, it is. Go up two streets, and then turn left. Fourth building on the right. Nothing near it, so's she can watch whoever comes up to her. Please don't sic them Sczarni on me. I told yew the truth, honest."
Pakak |
"You WERE paid. See cup and coin outside," Pakak jerked his thumb towards the box, "But tell you what, you got a point we came on a bit strong... not entirely our fault, you were a greedy SOB and treated us like morons. But IF your information proves fruitful, I'll try to come back within a month and consider handing you over some more coin. Don't expect a hundred or any such crazy number though."
Crugold |
Crugold watches the scene with the pathetic wretch with a look of pity on his face, clearly relieved to be moving on. Despite his own experiences, the sight of someone who so clearly embraced such pathos still made him uncomfortable.
DM Bigrin |
If the rundown 2-story house that Fenster's direction led to was indeed Natalya's new place of residence, the missing Tower Girl wasn't exactly trading up in the world. The ramshackle clapboard walls were either damaged by fire, mold, or both. In places, fire had gutted sections of the roof, and each heavily boarded up window had soot stains curling from their tops. The building stood near the steep cliff walls of the Seacleft, and tumble-down scree piled up against its foundations and littered the yard. A small shack leaned up against an outside wall, probably a storage shed of some kind.
The shed's lone window does not appear to be as tightly boarded up as those on the rest of the house.
Eowithe Mournegrym |
Eowithe pauses at the edge of the property, eyed narrowed as she surveys the area.
Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Pointing at the shed, she motions the others to follow as she makes her way along the house toward the shed.
Pakak |
As Alanthian follows Ewoithe, Pakak follows Alantheian. And he gives the elf space when he starts to look for traps. He's a chatty fellow some times, but not wouldn't be a good time FOR one of those times.

Crugold also keys in on the shed being the place to start. Moving quietly up to it's boarded up window, he takes up a silent position to the side, and points to one of the others in the group to the loose boards.
DM Bigrin |
Sorry it has taken so long to post this, but I "lost" my mapping thumb drive for a couple of days
As you approached the shed, a burly man came out and shouted "Hey! This is private property! Get outta here!" As he was shouting, another man squeezed his muscular bulk through the doorway and stood glaring at Alanthian. Both men were armed and armored, wickedly pointed morningstars held tightly in their fists.
Eowithe Mournegrym |
Eowithe is drawn up short by the man's appearance and shout. Frowning, she says to the man "I grow impatient with a these constant irritants! Surrender now and you may yet escape unscathed! " She hefts her own wickedly pointed morningstar.

"Welcome to the nice part of town, being rough comes with the territory." Crugold replies to Pakak quietly. To the men, he speaks quietly, "We have business here, and have had way too many irritants today on our way here. I would suggest you get out of the way or introduce yourself properly before you become a punching bag for our frustrations."

Alanthian Darlok |
Alanthian draws his sword, Glimmer from it's sheath and shakes his head at the men. "We did not come looking for trouble human. We can talk or fight, your choice, but I do not envey your odds as they say."
Crugold |
"Yes, yes, I'm sure you have your precious backup hiding somewhere. Goons like you never travel is such small groups as pairs. Why don't you use a few of your remaining brain cells, and inform your mistress that we seek information rather than standing out here and playing with fire by threatening folks you don't know, and who skill levels you are unaware of?"

Before the words were even out of Crugold's mouth, the firstmost goon raised his morningstar in a strike. Conversation went pretty much to hell right about then.
Tynan is up (if she's still about), then the goons.

Tynan just sat there as the outnumbered goons blurred into action. one went after Eowithe, slamming his morningstar into her unguarded belly. He breath came out with a whoosh as the impact bruised flesh and bone alike. Alanthian fared no better as the other bruiser stepped around the corner and clouted him in the left arm. he could feel his arm going numb under the brutal blow.

Pakak takes his rapier, "May the brave god carry the day!" And stabs forward at the fellow on Alanthian
Hit with rapier (Not sure if I get flanking, adjust if I do please): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
if that hits dmg is:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Hey, is that a possible crit for a rapier? if so, to confirm:
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
And possible crit dmg on top of above: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Mm, may not have confirmed..darn it. Ah well.

"You gotta do better than that, children." said the one fighting Eowithe, smacking at her with his morningstar. She easily slipped the blow, but her own strike fell short.
The other was too beleaguered to have any comment, but he held off Alanthian and Crugold, dealing the elf a hammering blow that sent him sprawling to the ground. His distraction cost him as Pakak's rapier pierced his back and drew a large spot of blood on the thug's leathers.
I am assuming Tynan has left us, unless he responds by the end of this fight.

Pakak sees the elf go down, Elves...They're so damn fragile.
"Hang on there, buddy."
He's not sure he can heal the fellow without getting clouted while trying and ruining anyway.
Pakak instead stabs again.

The thugs continued to swing their morningstars about, evading most of the companions' blows. Eowithe got a glancing blow in on her opponent's elbow, causing him to miss his strike. Pakak's lunge, however, only opened him up for a counterstrike. The man's blow smashed into the orc's face, spiked ball tearing into, then crushing flesh. The orc staggered, all but unconscious from the strike.
Pakak took 10 damage, which should put him at 0. Don't forget your orc ferocity ability
