Dandilion:
A 19 touch connects! willpower: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 vs DC 16 or be cursed.

She responds still trying to subdue you more than kill. If she drops you with an earlier blow, she stops attacking.

"I say, you're tougher than you look! You'll be just delicious on the rack!!"

Dandilion (-26 nonlethal)(-21hp)

The party waits, frustrated in the hall as Barael checks for traps and finds none. The door is locked however.

You're still a bit behind the timeline but go ahead and try to get the door opened so I'll know exactly how far back. Currently, in Dandilion's timeline, you're about to rush through the last bits of the maze - the last of you have just been birthed from the rock plug of Briars by the earth elemental.

"Now that's not nice dearie, not nice at all."

Dandilion (-51 nonlethal)(-21hp)

And with that you're unconscious.

And with that the Barael manages to unlock the door (nice roll!) in one round and burst into the room. Briar, knowing where the party is may act in a surprise round before everyone else, then at his regular initiative if he wishes. Barael also acted in the surprise round opening both doors. Nikolay cast vanish in his 'buff' round. Charlie may also cast one round of buff spells if he wishes. Vencarlo has no spells as far as you know.

This large room is lit by a heartily burning fire pit in the room’s center. Cages hang on chains dangling from hooks in the ceiling, while racks, strappadoes, gibbets, and other implements of torture fill the floor space. A pair of immense wooden doors stand in the wall to the opposite the cells. You see a man with distinguished gray hair at the temples on a rack. He has apparently collapsed from the pain and is currently unconscious.

Dandilion too is on a rack on the far side of the room. A beautiful three headed creature stands over her apparently just about to turn the rack… again. As you walk in she turns to you and says, "Oh good, more playthings. Please enter the cells and wait your turn, if you don't mind. I'd hate to have to kill you all. I just want some information." There are several cell doors open.

Please go one at a time (so Charlie is up) as the beatific one is delaying to see if you go in the cells as requested. Feel free to post your surprise round buffing/actions in the meantime.

Map Round 1

Beatific One: This tall, feminine figure has golden tanned skin and well formed curves, suggesting years of activity and work toward physical perfection. Beneath her diaphanous robes, the creature’s legs cross over one another, while six arms - two facing toward her back - wave in a continuous dance. Three fanged heads sit atop a sturdy neck, studying every direction.

Round of Surprises

Finally getting confirmation of near entrance (at least in theory...he doesn't know, but hopes they pick the right door), Briar reads from the scroll he's had in hand.

Briar will direct his power magics to remove the stone that holds the iron door and lock in place, giving it no purchase.

When the stone no longer supports the door, he will give it a swift kick.

Round 1, Init 12

Move: Kick down the door.

Briar will step out into the room, putting the remains of his scroll away.

"You there. That Waif is with me...I'm not done with her yet. She might have potential."

Barael barely has time to take in the scene as the doors part, when he sees the creature turn hazy, hovering over Dandi.

Swift He Vanishes. "So help me, if you've harmed our girl..." He gets the growl out before he closes the distance.
Move Action, BoF for increased speed He moves to W-17.
Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 23 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 23 + 1 = 34

Black Tooth: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 13 + 1 = 34 for 1d6 + 4 + 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + (6, 2, 1, 2) + 1 = 17 damage

Confirm Critical?: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 13 + 1 = 17 for 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6 damage

The beauific one reaches out to Barael as he attempts to get behind her (and fails his acrobatics check). He seems to think he's invisible, and yet she sees right through him as if he were not (so no sneak damage).

Temple Sword: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (20) + 17 = 37 damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Temple Sword (crit): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34 damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

To add insult to injury, it is clear that not all of his damage goes through. In fact, none of it does... she seems to have some sort of damage reduction.

Vencarlo curses as his blade too is turned aside by the creatures unusual skin (so soft and supple). "I too cannot harm her!"

Majenko flies above the group off Briar's shoulder. Unsure how best to aid, he flies in a roundabout way to V17 so as to provide a potential flank for Nikolay. He attacks once just hoping for luck to win the day.

Nikolay has to end up in X15 (flanking with Majenko) as Fondo is already flanking with Barael.

However as this is the first actual flank attack Nokolay learns that the three headed six eyed creature cannot be flanked in fact. However a 24 does in fact connect and so Nikolay manages to do some damage!

EDIT: Oops forgot the blur... 1d100 ⇒ 99 21 and up is good.

Barael charges behind the divinely beautiful creature and scores a solid blow, but fails to do any lasting damage. Briar kicks down the door, and a portion of the wall, and enters the fray. Fondo rushes up to provide a flank for Barael and begins to inspire the group to greater heights. Vencarlo strikes but fails to damage her. Nikolay discovers that flanking a three headed creature is impossible, but he does hit and manages to do a little damage. Majenko flanks her, but fails to damage her. Charlie casts bless and encourages the party.

The beatific one sees the arrow coming and quickly blocks it aside. You've heard of monks who had this power, but you've never seen it in action before. It's really quite impressive, but frustrating as it results in a miss for Briar.

Nikolay:
So Nikolay, as I see it, your attack will bypass DR then, right? NICE! You learn she has Resist acid 10, electricity 10 so fire and cold would both get through. Also improved evasion; DR 10/good; Immune curse effects, disease, flanking, poison. SR 20.

Vencarlo, seeing he cannot do much of anything to help in the combat, instead turns his attentions to poor Dandilion. He begins to undo the straps holding her down. Majenko, seeing what Vencarlo is doing, helps in his own way by undoing the straps on the other side. Dandilion is no longer strapped down, but she's still prostrate on the table, and exposed.

Charlie:
You don't know who that is. Some older gentleman, but that's about it. Right age for the guy you're looking for, but you don't know if it's him.

She blocked my arrow? SHE BLOCKED MY ARROW!? Without magic?!

"Did you guys see that? She blocked my arrow!"

The magical will always defeat the martial. I will show her.

Briar tries to snap his bow in frustration, but fails. He takes a moment to breathe deep and realizes that his frustration is not with the Being, but with himself.

I should be using magic, not this pathetic bow to defeat her.

With renewed intent, he seeks to end the threat.
