Grunting in pain Ulfric swings again, trying to keep the creature distracted from Nezzarim.

Sheesh, I did 11 points of damage alone unless it has DR. Hope it is dead now.
Nezz continues the flank.

Torvent |

Torvent looked between the monster and the bleeding Ulfric, trying desperately to determine a course of action. He knew he had to stop the monster but, Ulfric didn't look like he could take another hit like the last one.
Running behind Ulfric, Torvent concentrates then lays a wet hand on Ulfric's back.
Kinetic Healer: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
I'll take the burn...
"Ooooof" Torvent exhales, grunting.
'This exertion is starting to take a toll on me. Need to be careful...'

Black Tom |

Sorry, I must have missed a post above somewhere. Please disregard the last round (and the damage to Ulfric). It is quite dead.
Under your combined assault, the woman collapses to the ground, her features melting away to reveal a rubbery blank visage.
End of combat. 120 xp each to you.

Quinlan |

"Her face melted... maybe she's one of these things they wanted... we could go give them the corpse."

Ulfric Bjarnasson |

I was busy to just found time to post today!
"Glad that things actually dead now." Ulfric says to the others "Search the room then carry this things corpse back tot he barrier and give it to the guards?"
Ulfric will them search the area Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

Black Tom |

The fallen rubble makes searching difficult but you aren't in any particular hurry, so you make a thorough search of it. In the desks there are paper and basic writing implements, all functional, but used enough to be valueless. Ulfric also discovers a wooden holy symbol of Pharasma, a small steel mirror, and a pair of gaudy red leather boots with cat skin lining (worth 20 gp). Finally he finds a masterwork silver dagger in a locker full of what looks like grass-stained hunter’s clothes.

Torvent |

Torvent kicks at the corpse occasionally as the others survey the room, still a little nervous the 'thing' might wake back up, even though they gave it quite the showing.
"Wow, now that's a nice blade," he says, when he sees the flash of silver Ulfric pulls from the locker.
"Someone will be sad they left it behind...assuming they're still...you know...alive."...

Quinlan |

"Nice boots... " Quinlan will put them on as long as they are close to his size and not like ladies boots with high heels or anything like that

Black Tom |

The boots pinch a little, but Quinlan is able to put them on. They look quite stylish on him.
Returning to the corridor, you note that most of this area has collapsed into a heap of dense gray rubble. The occasional clattering pebble makes it sound as though the mound is not entirely settled, and more rubble could collapse at any moment. Surviving doors lead off the hall to the west and east. The east door leads to the room you just searched, so do you want to try the west door?

Quinlan |

"West door sounds like our only choice... let's take it!"

Black Tom |

As Ulfric concentrates to scan for evil beyond the door, he is surprised to find an evil aura emanating from the collapsed rubble in the corridor ahead as well as behind the door. The rubble gives off a cluster of three faint auras while it's harder to tell with the aura beyond the door. He can only tell that it is faint and vaguely to the left.
Following Ulfric's gaze you notice a corpse lying face-down and almost buried in the rubble.

Grymm Planeswalker |

"ooooh! So exciting. What will we find next?" she takes a lot of effort to restrain herself from clapping her hands in excitement

Ulfric Bjarnasson |

19 or better? Lets try it!
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
"Guys there some evil coming from down the rubble, as well as through the door. Lets deal with the door first"
Ulfric will get ready for a door breach if the others are okay with it.

Black Tom |

The door is neither locked nor trapped so you bust it open, finding yourselves in a rather large room. Sturdy racks and toppled tables suggest this space once served as a sizable laundry. Much of the northern end of the room is filled with rubble.
A wall of pipelike crossbeams fills the western alcove of this room. Three figures are manacled to the rack here, from south to north: a human wearing stained yellow sheets as robes and bearing a flame-shaped chalk mark upon his forehead, the corpse of a partially eaten patient (her left arm completely stripped of flesh), and a ghoul. The living man looks up at you and croaks "Praise!" He seems anxious to be rescued.
There is one visible exit: a door at the far (south) end of the door. "That's the main laundry room", Cambre says. "No way out from there"
Will update the map as soon as I find some time.

Black Tom |

The ghoul is the one radiating evil, and the corpse is only chewed on its side.
The man looks at Ulfric intently and says: "Words fail." Cambre muses: "I think he's an aphasiac. Didn't use to be this bad, though. On the other hand, the other one didn't use to be a ghoul either."

Torvent |

"That's a..." Torvent mumbles quietly, as he starts to say something, then changes his mind.
Clearly the sight of the mand and the ghoul is upsetting to Torvent.

Ulfric Bjarnasson |

"Well we should put this beast down first Ulfric says.
Ulfric will then step forward and swing his longsword at the ghoul.
Initiative if needed: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Longsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Grymm Planeswalker |

"Sooooo vulger" she turns her head away from what was happening.

Black Tom |

Apart from the three sets of manacles, there isn't much of value in the room. However, when searching the half-eaten body, Nexxarim finds something in one of its pockets. Wrapped in a dirty handkerchief is a disembodied, coin-shaped eye with an X-shaped pupil. As he studies it it blinks and turns its pupil towards him.

Ulfric Bjarnasson |

"Sir I am going to release you now, please stay calm" Ulfric says to the man. Ulfric will then take out his morning star and bash the manacles apart.
When Nezzarim finds the the 'eye' Ulfric will detect evil on it.

Ulfric Bjarnasson |

Catching the eye thing Ulfric looks at it closely.
Answering Torvent, "Not sure, maybe this guy knows"
Turning to the man he just freed, "Do you happen to know what this is? And what can we call you?"

Grymm Planeswalker |

"oooh oooh! Lemme see lemme see!" she jumps up and down holding out her hand

Black Tom |

"Zandalus sees! says the man. He seems anxious to get away from this place.
"His name is Juglan Rivercane, I think." Campre helpfully supplies. "At any rate it's not Zandalus."
There is only one exit from this room: the door in the south end. To find out more about the eye would require a Knowledge (planes) 30 check, as it is clearly alien.

Grymm Planeswalker |

only on a NAT 20 and a bonus from somewhere can i make a 30 check....

Quinlan |

Quinlan takes a look at the eye if he can.
know planes: 1d20 + 8 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 8 + (3) = 18
sigh, coulda made it on a couple of high rolls... ah well..
"It's clearly strange, but I have no idea what it is."

Ulfric Bjarnasson |

Ulfric passes the eye to Grymm so she and Quinlan can investigate it.
"Well should we keep it or not, it isn't evil, but I dislike the idea of carrying around something so unknown" Ulfric says as he walks over to the door.
"Shall we continue our search? There were some evil auras in the rubble outside"
If anyone give the affirmative, Ulfric will lead the way out the door, detect evil to locate the auras again and then prepare to advance

Quinlan |

"It may not be evil, but it's... creepy... but it might be useful too. Is it magical, I wonder?" He casts detect magic on the eye.

Grymm Planeswalker |

"Its not creepy... youre not creepy are you.... no. Of course not. You're cute! Ill take him! Ill name him... Rex!" as she looks the eye over

Black Tom |

Sorry, travelling at the moment. Will have to defer posting what's behind the door until tomorrow.
Finding nothing else of interest in the room you try the door. The man you just rescued is a bit fidgety and seems on the verge of running away but Campre is keeping him in a tight grip.

Black Tom |

Ulfric detects evil beyond the door. Only one aura and faint at that but you are still very cautious in opening the door.
Several wide tables and gigantic washbasins fill a laundry equipped to service hundreds. The place looks as though it were repurposed as a failed surgery, though, with at least one table heaped with remains while corpses lie discarded in corners. A stained sheet hangs between two of the basins, dividing the room roughly in half. A lantern shines on the far side. On the sheet you can make out the silhouette of a humanoid figure.
There are no visible exits.

Quinlan |

This doesn't look at all good.
Quinlan says nothing aloud so as not to alert the fellow behind the sheet to their presence if he doesn't know yet.

Ulfric Bjarnasson |

"Everyone stay back for a few seconds while I draw its attention", Ulfric says to his companions.
Entering the room with shield and sword at the ready, Ulfric steps off to the right of the door very quickly, and says "Sir, or madam, behind the sheet, please announce yourself". Ulfric checks with detect evil if the silhouette radiates evil.
Move action to enter the room and standard action for detect evil on a specific person

Black Tom |

Ulfric concentrates on the shape behind the curtain, but fails to discern any evil. "Blast", says a corpse lying among the ones strewn about and rises to attack you, dagger in hand. Meanwhile the shadow figure vanishes.
Roll for initiative. Dead guy goes on 12 so if you beat that, you can go ahead and take an action. I don't think a map will be necessary.
