Both Ollysta and Jorssal raise an eyebrow at Harrow's demeanor. But, at the mention of Ragathiel, the nod--seeming to understand Harrow better. When the cavalier/inquisitor mentions his special brown noise power, Ollysta actually smiles: "I suppose that is more merciful than slaying your enemies." And she offers the half-orc a collegial fist-bump.
This is the most amazing reaction ever! Love it.
The terrain here does not lend itself well to an attack on (Shyael). At all. :(
Nope. It sure doesn't.
Despite being a holy warrior, they never gave this NPC, Shyael, ranks in Knowledge Religion! >:(
That was one of my favorite things about her stat-block. She's a decent level paladin, fighting in the Worldwound, who doesn't know anything about demons or religion. She just knows that Erastil wants her to help this poor displaced people and protect them from the evils of the Worldwound. She's essentially a divine social-worker... who's amazing with a bow.
I get the sense that this scenario is more about fear and dread and horrible situations than deadly encounters and TPKs. Just roll with it and enjoy the "horror" story. :)
Yup, though that part can get pretty deadly, right Quartz?
Came across this thread randomly. Really enjoying it. Have fun!

I'm on vacation in Costa Rica starting tonight. Will return next Saturday. I will have WiFi at the house, so I should be able to post at least once per day.

apologies. had some ex wife aggro for a bit there, now catching up. ty for botting him.

While out there, the Crusade asks that we keep an eye out for any abandoned buildings or fortresses we could use and to ensure they are habitable.
(emphasis mine)
Chalk it up to an author's mistake not hitting you over the head about it.

Husarq takes a step in.
[dice=Will Save]1d20+4
He seems to relax and be... happy... Like he's reliving the happiest moments of his life. Given the way that Mareck RPs the eidolon, I daresay that those moments might be disturbing to the rest of the party...
LOL. I imagined the Robot Chicken sketch of Anakin Skywalker going to his "happy place" while dancing around in the Jedi Temple a flowery meadow cutting the heads of a little "flowers."

just trying to RP a 2 CHA with some intelligence rather than Harrow hilarious interactions... no offense Mareck.

No worries. I completely understood what you were doing.

My posting will be reduced this weekend (April 22-24). I will be at the PAX East convention.

I apologize if the shadow room is confusing. I think it works out better at the table than in PbP because of the immediacy that needs to happen with timing.
Mareck, you are correct that this is a non-standard combat situation. That said, it's sometimes easier to put people in a private initiative order so they take turns. But still not something that makes it easy in PbP. I'll have to keep this in mind for future scenarios.
Good luck!

Thanks, Andrew. :)
I'm sure I share some of the responsibility here. I could have explained better.
I agree with you that this works better in a face-to-face setting. I wish that I had taken a picture of the players' faces at my friendly local game store when they tried to move in and I moved a bunch of minis towards them. :D
Also, RPing Valais face-to-face is hilarious. The players who hadn't met her before literally jumped when I did her kalavakus voice. LOL!

This scenario is vastly different from others, liking it thus far.
Yay! I was certainly going for something different. Whenever I sit down to write something like this, I always have to go back and revise. I don't want to do something that's already been done because, as Alfred Hitchcock would say, "That's how they do it in the movies!"

Cool scenario so far. But from the very beginning when we saw those eidolons working outside the temple/complex I thought, Uh oh. This is an adventure in the land of the summoners. I immediately started thinking of all the wickedness that I would pull on a summoner. Taking control of summoned eidolons or monsters anybody? I'm assuming the next room is the BBG, so...

Not this year. I didn't feel like GMing the whole convention for a hotel, and wasn't able to get a hotel. Year's before I was able to get one "out of the block" downtown. No so this year.

Quick unrelated question:
Does anyone know if it is legal in PFS to take the heirloom weapon trait, then cast masterwork transformation on it and have it carry over between scenarios?

FYI, I will be traveling today for 10 days (Washington DC, upstate NY, and Niagara Falls).
I am unsure as to my connectivity and time availability, but will post when I'm able.
Please bot me, if necessary! :)

No, it's not legal. The effect would end at the end of the session.

I'll be traveling today and tomorrow, then in Paris for work for seven days, returning next Friday. I should have connectivity (Paris has wifi, believe it or not). But my posting will be off-hours (GMT+1) compared to you all.
BTW - Paris is flooding, so I'll be making Swim checks pretty frequently, I think. :)
