Serax the Acolyte |
Hi All - I will traveling without Internet service Sunday evening until Wednesday morning (it's my turn to cruise). Mikeawmids please NPC Serax those days.

All, my sincere apologies, turns out that Interent is stupidly expensive on a cruise ship so it will be Sunday afternoon before I can reliably post.

Also, everyone gets DP! Hurrah! Will repost checklist here for ease of reference....
Did you survive? Yes = 1DP.
Yes => 1 DP
Did you make an Ability roll (success/failure)? Yes = 1DP.
Yes => 1 DP
Did you make a Class/Skill roll (success/failure)? Yes = 1DP.
Yes => 1 DP
Can you state one previously unknown thing about the world/setting/characters that you did not know before? Yes = 1 DP.
Does "Nualia is going to try and torch Sandpoint" count? => 1 DP
+1 DP for each of your descriptors that you demonstrated/role-played during the game.
I've been trying to portray Quiddling as an optimist and curious. Although he hasn't pulled any levers or ran down a corridor, so I would say that only the optimist part counts. => 1 DP
Did you resolve a non-combat encounter in an innovative fashion (like how Serax & Natalie put out the fires)? Yes = 1 DP.
Nope
Did you do something that witnesses will still be talking about years from now (such as saving the town)? Yes = 1 DP.
Going down the hole that swallowed some of Sandpoint and them emerging with one of the conspiritors to burn the town down? => 1 DP
Did you resolve a personal mission/conflict? Yes = 1 DP.
Nope
Did you character engage in combat and emerge victorious? Yes = 1 DP.
Yes => 1 DP
Did you resolve a major plot arc? Yes = 1 DP.
Nope
I count 7 DP for Quiddling (if all the assumptions I made are correct).
On another note, would it be OK if I rebuilt Quiddling slightly? Stretching him out through three classes feels kind of non functional, and the bard thing doesn't really work. I would like him to be just a straight up Thief/Scholar.

Go ahead. The Bard class is not one of the core classes from the rules, I made it up to round out the list of player options, so perhaps it is not as balanced/developed as it needs to be. No more Entangle though, Serax will be sad. :p
And in response to Serax's question in the Gameplay thread: Yes, you can hoard your DP and add it to the total when you next advance your characters.

\o/ I'll rebuild this evening. I mostly choose bard because the party might need a healer, but since I haven't taken the healing power yet, and it seems abit limited the whole reason for choosing a bard kind of went out the window and limited other possiblities for Quiddling.
(I don't think anyone will miss the entangle:)

Rebuilt. Quiddling is now a level 2 Thief and level 1 Scholar. I took Thief as the primary skill and then Scholar as the secondary. I choose scholar as the first level. Then I spent the "free" advance I got in the beginning on 1 level of Thief. Then spent 6 of the DPs on raising it to 2, and then the last DP on raising log by one (to 60).
His new stats are:
Skills - Primary: Thief. Secondary: Scholar.
Scout: 30
Thief: 73 (two levels)
Warrior: 28 melee, 33 ranged
Scholar: 50 (one level)
Looks OK?

I'll update Big T soon...busy ER tonite!!
Hi Thor...hopefully everything is calming down at the ER...you can't leave me with just Quiddling ;)
Serax the Acolyte |
Still here! Just sans rulebook until Saturday.
Please NPC Thor until then if needed. I still need to "level up"...
C'mon Thor...goblins to smite :-)

Apologies in advance. I am moving house in the near future and am overwhelmed with stuff that needs doing. I am going to have to temporarily postpone this game (and the other games I am running) until the move is complete. Internet access will be spotty and I can't guarantee I will have time to give these campaigns the attention they require. Will post again as soon as everyone is settled in the new place (hopefully not long after 08/09/2013).
Thanks for your patience.

Hello!
Thanks for being patient while I went through my first major GM burnout. :s
I got carried away and took on too much stuff (running three games, playing in two) and just exhausted myself. It got to the point where posting felt more like a chore than something I actually enjoyed doing.
Taking it easy now that I am back online in the new house, playing in DM_Strom's 'Beasts and Barbarians' game, but that's all. I apologise as I know you have all lots of effort invested into the characters, but I am declaring this game inactive.
Looking forward to RPing together again in the future. With three awesome AP's on the horizon, I'm certain our paths will cross again.
Thanks again for your understanding.
Michael
