Im not sure considering it needs to be heated and lasts one strike..which very much hurts your hand so.. I guess technically you would if you could survive the damage

Darius's face becomes more upset than normal and his teeth show, " This isnt the time for your games, Sledge. Regardless, Duristan the point is, with our group you will see some strange happenings. Otherwise are you ready to go? After we see if we can get access to a certain.. library the rest of the night will be devoted to the hunt. "

Darius clicks his tongue in disappointment. " Then tell Estovion, when he finds the time to allow it as currently we find the public library inefficient at some of our most important goals. It COULD become pertinent to himself perhaps. Otherwise I thank you for the message. "

Darius turns to the party, " Hunting then? "

"I will certainly pass the message along." Belik says, bows, and retreats.

Duristan practically lights up at the thought of getting to finally go on the hunt. You head back out into the woods by where the boars were killed, and Duristan's hirelings start setting up the perimeter.

Any preparations you want to make before nightfall? There is several hours of waiting between setting up camp and it even getting dark.

Duristan also reminds you that his witch is available should anyone want to take him up on the offer of a scar ward.

I think we should all get one. A 50% chance of lycanthropy is better than a 100% chance.

Darius will not take one on principle. Just dont get hit.. or fail the save or kill it first.

The witch takes a knife, heats it in the campfire, and carves a rune into Jones and Sledge's shoulder that vaguely looks like a wolf's head.

Any long duration buffs?

Like Hour long? bloodhound.. to gain Scent. And Keep Watch if needed.

Mutagen, Heroism, and Barkskin would last me an hour and 10 minutes, but I don't want to waste them if we'll be walking longer than that.

Much later in the night, there comes a short snarl, and a muffled scream from the southeast. It appears something has stumbled upon one of Duristan's traps.

I actually have a spear. If he's just giving out blanches, I'll put one on that.

Sledge cracks his knuckles.

"I'll take point."

Help yourself, we've got 4 of them left and I can make more.

Jones hands an Enlarge Person to Sledge, then drinks (in order): Dex mutagen, Barkskin, Heroism, and Shield.

Sledge sticks it in his wrist-sheath.

Darius casts See Invisiblity and Shield of faith. As the approach he downs his mutagen and progressively to Duristan's eyes he see Darius transform, somewhat painfully, into his Wolfin form. A howl and sniff at the air cementing the full transformation.

His voice raspy and carrying a greater growl than normal.

" Finally.. the hunt is on.. "

I assume this is WHILE moving... the is no reason to wait.

You arrive on the scene to find the corpses of three of Duristan's hirelings on the ground, with the corpse of a fourth clutched in the massive claws of a huge gray-furred werewolf, her throat torn out. Its jaws gleam with blood.

Upon seeing you, it casts the body aside.

"Why do you trespass on the territory of the Vollensag?" it snarls at you, baring its fangs.

Darius roars back, " Who are you to question us? We know your clan as well as the rest are in disarray after your leader was butchered! This is to establish that your kind as well cannot do as they please in these woods. Our hunter's Stag was taken by one of yours. As for those four, they are not to die in vain. " Darius ends with a snap of his teeth.

He uncoils his whip letting it dangle.

Shield of Faith & Iron Skin.

"That was fast." says Z indicating to Duristan's men.

"Either this one can actually fight or Duristan's money is being put to waste."

"What do you say Darius? Should I just go ahead and turn him into a crater, or do we want to play with our food first?"

Sledge shrugs and quaffs the extract of enlarge person.

"Pal, you're gonna answer our questions or you're gonna be in a whole world of hurt, right before we send you to the next world."

Tell whoever sent you that your dealing with Mathus the Betrayer have angered ALL of the wolf tribes, not just the Vollensag. He howls to punctuate the statement. Almost immediately, another howl sounds nearby. Then another joins them. Then several more.

The howling grows as more and more werewolves add their voice to the cacophony, the entire wood seeming to shake with the force of their vocalization.

"I don't even know who Mathus the completely unimportant is. But if you want to add your corpse to my list, and all your pitiful friends too, by all means."

Zin's fire hits the werewolf that was speaking. It roars in pain, though not as much as she might have hoped.

Darius, then Jones. Currently only one werewolf is visible, but the sound of their howls puts two more somewhere nearby, though out of Darkvision range.

Duristan's hirelings flee in terror.

Edit: I should also clarify that despite me calling them "massive" and "huge" the werewolves are merely Large sized.

Sledge is large, has combat reflexes, wielding a spear in his hands, and taking point. Just a reminder for those sweet AoOs.

Do we have a map or is it needed I need to make sure for positioning being that Sam is large. Also can we assume Darius judged or not?

I didnt say I activated because I ASSUMED init would be rolled immediately.. but then people got to do attacks and other standard actions. My swift is less than a standard so if we go by surprise round ideology I would have. Now would it be better if I said I bane'd?
