Samuel Sledge
Wait, can I charge it down the chute? Is it like difficult terrain?
Zin'Retatarianna Mor
Why does it matter, you have dragon style?
-Posted with Wayfinder
Samuel Sledge
If it's a drop, I can't. If it's difficult terrain, I can.
In the event that I can just charge it, change my action to swift flex into lunge and then charge punch.
Darius Ral'algul
You can charge it.. something might happen though also that would be next round obviously. because you already went. Lunge wouldnt help
Samuel Sledge
Aight then.
Zin'Retatarianna Mor
Also Sledge, you never said if you approached Z earlier.

Rynjin
You can charge it downhill like that, yeah.
Darius Claws, then Bites, ripping the webbing.
Once free, he whips the creature across the face, burning black fire onto her.
Will: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
What Curse effect?
Zin'Retatarianna Mor
Rynjin
It's 50%
I have to decide when I put it in the whip.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Actually you don't. Variable effects only come into play when the spell is cast, which it isn't until the whip delivers it.
Jones Shei'lac
It down like ... 20 feet and likely has reach.
Man don't do this to me, that was like my only crit for this whole campaign ;_;
What Jones actually does after Studying the Weaverworm (because why not, it might decide to come up and give me a hug or something), is draw his shortbow and shoot at it.
Shortbow: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
1d6 ⇒ 4
Jones Shei'lac
Z turns to Jones, "Hey Jones, help me out here. At which point when whatever insane God was creating this thing, did they decide a rocking rack was a requirement?"
"I'm not saying I feel threatened, I'm just saying the competition is a little fiercer than it probably has any right to be."
Jones winces.
"Not that I'm not morbidly curious about this line of thought, but can't it wait?"
Zin'Retatarianna Mor
I'm not against that ruling Rynjin since it favors us, but I believe the wording on the spell is I have to choose at the time of casting. So unless Darius was considered the caster, I have to pick beforehand. But if you rather it work like you said, I'm all for it.

Zin'Retatarianna Mor
Z shrugs at Jones, "Hey Darius after you get done giving her another whipping, mind moving back just a bit, pretty sure you're in my blast radius."
Delay until Darius goes in the hopes the pain of her Curse keeps the monster stationary.

Samuel Sledge
Sledge will ignore Zin's request to come over, by the way, instead focusing on drinking his potion and getting in position for the charge.
Rynjin

The ability actually says the weapon (which I have interpreted as the wielder, since objects don't get actions) casts the spell, so we'll go with that. =)
Samuel Sledge
aaah btu ryn jin is creecher not alos objetc?
Darius Ral'algul
I guess that makes it the.. Weaver's possible turn?
Darius growls " Just set it deeper in, I MIGHT not get a choice here, these abominations like live prey that cant move. And as far as it's chest is concerned.. I've seen better. More is not always better and it doesnt make up for it's hideous eating habits. "
Rynjin
Missed that Zin said she Delayed.
High is Good: 1d100 ⇒ 67
The Weaver moves up the slope a bit, seeing as her webs won't work.
It swings a claw at Darius from 15 feet out.
"Come here so I can EAT YOU!"
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
But in her haste, misses the monster hunter.
Darius Ral'algul
Darius gives a devilish grin " Quite ready to have a piece of me aren't you. You need to curb your appetite I'm in high demand and don't just let anyone have a taste. The light caress of Grimoire will have to satisfy you for now! "
His Whip glows a white light as the symbol of Sarenrae emblazons upon it's tip. He cackles as he snakes the whip across the Weaver's chest!
Powerful Mutagen Destruction Aberration Bane Grimoire Whipping: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
Powerful Mutagen Destruction Aberration Bane Grimoire Whipping Damage: 1d3 + 15 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 15 + (4, 4) = 25
Bane one Round, 5ft step back
Samuel Sledge
Sledge, his already massive body enlarged further by the extract, charges the creature with staggering force.
Pummeling charge
1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 10 + 2 = 28
2d8 + 22 ⇒ (7, 2) + 22 = 31
1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 2 = 13
2d8 + 19 ⇒ (6, 8) + 19 = 33
1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 = 26
2d8 + 19 ⇒ (7, 5) + 19 = 31
If it is necessary to avoid giving it a free shot, he will flex into Lunge.
Rynjin
The creature screams in intense pain from Darius' whip, but barely manages to stay standing.
Sledge lunges at the Weaver, and finishes it off before the aftershocks of his punch even damage her.
Combat over.
Darius Ral'algul
" Hrmph, Alright then, with it finished we can see to the likely corpses of those hanging above. Zin can you perhaps get them down? While that is happening let's cleanse this place of any more retches and perhaps procure anything of worth... Then burn it to the ground in holy fire. "
Carrion Crown Treasure Monster
Cutting the coccoons down reveals 6 corpses.
Two goats, which seem to be recent additions.
One incredibly shriveled, emaciated horse corpse.
And three humans.
The most recent of these corpses contains a sealed envelope, half soaked with blood.
Down in the weaverworm's lower chamber are a number of other, smaller cocoons. Thankfully, these contain nothing but treasure.
-1 potion of Heroism
-1 Magic ring
-721 gp
Everyone gets 180 gp.
Jones Shei'lac
"Darius, see if you can uncover the properties of the ring. If not, I will Identify it at the end of the day, along with any other magical items we find."
You have Detect Magic and Spellcraft +7, it's worth a try.
Darius Ral'algul
Assuming my Mutagen runs down Yes I COULD.. its unlikely Though.. its not his job.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
" Peh, I'm not one to dabble in things like this its not needed for my profession or intended prey. It's Magic that's all I know. "
Jones Shei'lac
Fiiiine. Just thought I might save myself a slot.
Jones pockets the ring to Identify it at the end of the day.
Zin'Retatarianna Mor
"Give it here, I can atleast take a Glance at it."
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
"No clue, hopefully it's useful though" says Z handing it back to Jones.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Samuel Sledge
"Should we open this envelope?"
Sledge inspects it for markings.
Darius Ral'algul
Darius nods, " It seems prudent to do so. The person before has no ability to deliver it and it is unable to be identified otherwise. We can likely mend the seal if needed afterward. "
I am impressed with the restraint Z has shown. So many opportunities
Rynjin
It does (or I assume so). I'd ask for Kn. Nobility and set a DC for it, but nobody has ranks in it.
But it's generally common knowledge that once a seal has been broken, its contents are pretty much considered null and void.
Jones Shei'lac
Heyo, I can make Knowledge checks untrained!
Kn. Nobility: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Jones Shei'lac
It had to be the one Knowledge skill I haven't carelessly tossed a rank in yet.
Well, there's also Kn. Geography, but hahahaha no.
Jones stores the envelope.
"Let's see if there's anything else of value before we burn the place down."
Darius Ral'algul
We torch it
" Well then that should not be happening any time soon again.. hopefully the cowards will have known their place from this example " Darius nods t the rest of the group as they move on back to their previous destination
" That took no time and we MIGHT have done one of the persons along this way a favor in return. How appropriate "
Jones Shei'lac
"Indeed. Let it never be said that I am incapable of misjudgment or miscalculation."
Darius Ral'algul
Darius smirks " In my lifetime I can safely say there is no such thing as a mortal that does not make mistakes multiple times. The longer the lifespan the more chances that will arise. "
Zin'Retatarianna Mor
"Speak for yourself. I'm perfect."
"I hope the Lodge can offer us seperate rooms, it would be nice to be able to sleep comfortably."
-Posted with Wayfinder
Darius Ral'algul
Darius sighs, then chuckles " I was actually talking about you, as young as you are. I've paid quite an amount attention to you.. You are far from perfect. I will agree on the separate rooms however.. Some peace and quiet would be nice every so often. "
Zin'Retatarianna Mor
Z shoos Darius' comment away with her hand, "Just don't stare too hard Darius, your pants might start to shrink."
"How much further do you think it is? We've been on this path for a while."
-Posted with Wayfinder
Rynjin
You proceed down the path a ways. After about an hour, you come across another curious sight.
The pale corpse of a naked man hangs from a large yellow pine, bound to the trunk with rough cords. His mouth is stuffed with large, pale purple flowers, and his wrists and ankles are swollen and dark with bruises marking where his bindings cut into his skin, but the large silver hunting knife embedded deep in his heart seems the most likely cause of death.
