Darius hears the sounds of fighting as Hyglak starts up a heroic tale. He moves in and heads for a corner where he can get a clear shot of the spider then takes a shot with his bow.

Hyglak sides to give himself an opening with his longspear as he continues his story, then stabs a the creature to distract it for Marduk.

Urging Yurei into the room and Sandwiching themself in between Hyglak and Darius, the Wayang feels the uprising nature of the Cleric's tale, rocking bavk in the saddle Senketsu thrusts at the spider. The ancestral voices burst into life inside the Cavalier's mind, urging the death to the foe.

Despite the poison running through her veins, Marduk is the only one to score a hit. Darius cannot identify what this creature is. It's arcana.

With the 'spider' in close to wolf and rider, Yurei snarls and bites at the creature, seeking to sink their fangs into the warpes creatures hide. Once Yurei has struck, Senketsu pulls them back so that they can strike with their lance.

Hyglak drops his spear, draws his rapier, moves closer to the spider and thrust at it. "Now that is how it's done missy!!" He shouts at the barbarian woman as he gives her a wink.

Yurei and Hyglak both score hits but the spider still fights on with the former toppling the creature. Darius.

Darius draws his dagger in his free hand and makes a strike at the spider, as much to distract it for Marduk as to actually hurt it.

I've not added anything for prone and i'm unsure if Hyglak continued to inspire us so i left that off too.

Congratulating their companion for taking the legs from under the spider and bringing it to its back. Taking advantage of the spider's soft underbelly Senketsu thrusts out at the spider.

Marduk slices and dices the spider into pieces! Combat Over!

"That was a very large spider, was it not! Are you OK Marduk, did it bite you?"

Darius shows genuine concern for the feral woman's well being.

"Marduk be feelin'... weak. Not strong enough. Arms weak, knees weak already. Need to eat!" says eventually Marduk, answering Darius.

She goes over a quick check of her body to determine what's wrong.

Heal: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Marduk can't tell what's wrong other than it was poison and that she feels weak.

Senketsu lets out a sogh of relief as the Spider falls, the Wayang shaking their head sadly at the horrific state of things here. Unable to offer Marduk any assistance with the strengthening of her body the Wayang turns to Darius, their head turning slightly, like a curious child.

"This one remembers, you said there was something hidden before? Where was it?"

Now what?

Inspect the hidden door Darius spotted?

The party opens the door and finds it leads outside.

Senketsu peers out into the night, their natural vision easily piercing the gloom of the night beyond, looking for any threat that may be apparent in the rear of the house, or signs of those fleeing the scene.Making sure they do not spoil the ground by leading Yurei onto the hunt, they allow their companion to sniff any tracks.

"This one suggests we hunt, or should we return to our beds before we are searched for?"

Crouching low, Yurei sniffs at the ground around the back door, looking for foreign smells and signs of people's passings through the secret exit.

survival, Scent DC 10: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Yurei smells a few people passing through here rather recently.

"If the trail has gone cold perhaps we should return to our beds. We should probably try to keep a watch rotation so at least one person is awake and able to wake the others if danger shows it's face again."

Senketsu looks to their loyal companion and smiles at Darius, the Wayang pointing out the back door into the lands beyond.

"It would appear Yurei has smelled something, Marduk can track yes? If no, Yurei can follow smell."

Yurei's survival is +1 and can track by scent, if no-one else has survival, Senketsu will order Yurei to Track as he has the trick. Unless of course everyone wishes to go to bed, that is fine ^^

Retreving and cleaning all his weapons Hyglak smiles at the group. "Well shall we follow the wolf to the quary? We still have a young woman to save!"

If you want to track, give me survival checks.

"Guys, I'm poisoned. Can someone heal me?" asks Marduk, trying her best to follow the others.

"Come over her lass and let me take a look." Hyglak inspects Marduk's wounds.

Hyglak fails to figure out anything about the poison.

Senketsu nods to Hyglak and orders Yurei to follow the scent trail in a soft voice, the Wayang looking concerned at Marduk's frailty, knowing they could turn back if they need too, Senketsu keeps the order.

"I'm afraid i know nothing of posions and illness. I wish i could help you my 3-leg race partner. It makes me unhappy to see you this frail. Maybe we can find someone friendly in town who can help? That will be in the morning though i would think."

Darius follows the others but pays close attention to Marduk to make sure she doesn't get any worse.

Yurei follows the scent and and the mount's sense of smell is assaulted as you pass by a fetid pond covered in wriggling mosquito larvae. You come upon a large field of corn. The corn stalks grow high here almost 12 feet tall with sheets of gossamer webbing and pallid fungi that grows amid the corn. It also seems to have been cut to form a maze of some kind. As the party ponders this, Leonard Kriegler, the mayor's brother steps out of the corn field, sickle in hand. You also hear strange buzzing coming closer to the party.

Leonard snarls at the party and he suddenly changes form! His skin is now leathery and hairless, and his face is now dominated by grotesque and unsettling whorls and slits instead of actual features. He attacks Hyglak! Dungeoneering to Identify

Surprised by the Mayor's siblings sudden appearance and shocked by the sudden transformation, Senketsu looks on in horror as the man-thing swipes at Hyglak and causes a telling wound on their cleric friend.

Spurring Yurei into motion, Senketsu skirts around the man as much as possible and strikes out with their lance.

One of these days I'll get to charge...

Darius tries to move through the crops towards the north to get around the man.

Entire turn spent doing that. Not sure if this is possible but i don't know unless i try!

Senketsu misses while Marduk bides her time. Darius moves around through the cornfield though he finds it a slow go. "Leonard" slashes at Darius and then slams into Hyglak.

Sorry GM, but I don't understand this map. How could Senketsu charge while he was on the other side of the man? I know that delaying in PBP often comes to loose one round of action but this... And can we stand on the blank part of the map, South of Leonard?

Darius is a bow user and normally would not move in to melee unless forced, but i'll leave it for now and assume he has his dagger drawn to help the melee fighters with flanking.

Senketsu didn't charge, he just moved and attacked. You can stand on the blank part of the map. I have moved Darius to a better spot.

Hyglak stumbles back fleeing the vicious attacker.

Withdraw as a Standard Action

Marduk stumbles forward and tries to hit the man with all her strength left, brandishing her double axe with both hands.

Senketsu lets out a cry as Hyglak is wounded once more, the Wayang cursing them self at their poor aim. With a dark curse, Senketsu challenges the man-creature and then strikes out with a powerfull lunge.
