Amaru, Ekujae half-elf
Frustrated at the lack of options, he nodded to Wily, "No, that won't work."
He pulled out his his tools as he pushed everyone out of the way and chuckled, "Just be ready to mend me if I break."
The half-elf then went about to carefully open the chest and dismantling the trap he'd found.
disable device: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Keith S.
Amaru squats in front of the chest, tools carefully working in his hand.
Suddenly you here a click .... whoosh and Amaru is blown back toward the group.
A creature emerges from the rock and stone of the floor! It appears to be made of the earth itself!
PCs may go first. Dewyn guesses this is a summoned creature of some sort.
Map updated in a moment.
Darvan Waverider
"Lookout!!!! Something's coming up from the earth!!!" Darvan cries out.
He turns to Noonan and stretches out his hand. The power of Gozreh flows from him and into the barbarian as he casts Bulls Strength on him.
+4 strength for Noonan
"Beat it down!!!" he yells out.
Amaru, Ekujae half-elf
Cursing himself for being careless, the half-elf dropped his tools and whipped out his blades.
He slashed and stabbed at the monster in front of him.
5' step and TWF

Forgot to post - creature's AC is 18, touch 8, flat footed 18.
@ Amaru - you roll like I do when I play!

@ Amaru - you roll like I do when I play!
What are you talking about? I've been doing great. It's this round. I figured I let some of the other PCs shine a little bit. :)
Wilma 'Fire Marshal' Stededving

Wilma casts heroism on Noonan.
This spell imbues a single creature with great bravery and morale in battle. The target gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks.
Dewyn Falassion
Deywyn moves around the pillar some trying to stay out of harms way of the creature. He conjures a globe of acid and tosses it at the creature testing its defenses.
Acid Splash vs Touch AC
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 81d3 ⇒ 1
and just does the lowest he can go x_x
Keith S.
Dewyn is the only one that hits it, and there seems to be little effect!
It beats its chest and howls in rage at being forced here into an atmosphere, and bashes Amaru
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15 missing
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24 hitting for

Noonan is covered in a shower of dirt and pebbles from his mighty hit. The thing reels from Amaru's slice and Willie's arrow.
Dewyn and Darvan - go!
Darvan Waverider
Darvan moves around to a position behind the earth creature to a position where he flanks it with Noonan.
possibly drawing an attack of opportunity if it has 10' reach? Current AC is 19 with his shield.
Once in position, he stabs the creature in the back with his trident.
trident attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 6 + 2 = 19
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Round 2:
Current AC: 19
Current HP: 35/35

It has a 10' reach!

4d6 + 14 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 1) + 14 = 30 damage!
KA-POW!!!
You hear a low rumbling sound, like the rhythmic sound of granite boulders rubbing together, and you realize the thing is laughing.
Keith S.
(having some internet / Paizo connectivity issues but I think Dewyn still needs to go. Make it a big one!)
Fabian Benavente
Seeing the captain go down, Amaru's blood boils again and the half-elf is once more a wild native defending his home.
TWF, rage, flanking
to hit: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 29, critical
to hit: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 20, yes
damage: 2d6 + 10 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 10 + (1, 3) = 23
to hit: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 15, miss
Keith S.
@ Amaru - the Captain isn't down (yet) and after Dewyn goes, it is the creature's turn, then we will use your attacks.
Keith S.
The creature has a fort save against the ray of enfeeblement.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20, passing, so it loses 2 pts of strength.
The creature roars and attacks the party.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 at Noonan, hitting for 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11 damage
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30 at Amaru, hitting for 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12 damage
Amaru went (posted early above), damaging the thing.
Noonan, Darvan, Dewyn need to go.
Keith S.
BUT - its enough damage. The creature collapses in a pile of earth and rock.
(out of combat)
The lid of the chest is open and you see glimmers of gold, platinum, silver, a few gems, and things wrapped in fine cloth or bags - all half buried in dirt from the creature.
You figure there was some sort of summoning spell trap on the chest, and you fought some sort of earth elemental.
Darvan Waverider
Darvan breathes a sigh of relief and rests his weight on his trident for a moment.
He straightens up, turns his head to the left, and spits a tooth over his shoulder.
"Still need to find that dentist!!!" he exclaims.
He focuses his power and expends his last channel for the day.
channel heal: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9
Healing everyone for 9 damage.
He walks over to Amaru and lays his hand upon the mans chest (converting a hold person into a Cure Moderate) healing him for: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (6, 7) + 4 = 17
He converts air bubble into a cure light wounds to heal himself: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
and a the same for shield of faith into a cure light wounds to heal himself for another: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Darvan is at 35/35 hp
Then he says "Somebody take a look in that chest and tell us what we've found ... I need to take a load off." and he sits down on the step heavily.
Keith S.
The chest is full of goodies.
1,000 platinum pieces
6,000 gold pieces
20,000 silver pieces.
small collection of gemstones worth a total of another 1,000 gold pieces.
a magic longsword
3 magic javelins
a small pouch with 3 small tubes; each magical
4 scrolls with the following magic user spells in total
- jump
- feather fall
- detect undead
- unseen servant
- enlarge person
- hideous laughter
- dispel magic
And everyone can level up to 5th.
Keith S.
And, to save time for the inevitable rolls to identify the magic stuff, here they are:
+1 keen longsword
3 javelins of lightening
3 tubes of dust of appearance
Amaru, Ekujae half-elf
Amaru beamed at the treasure and just picked up some coins and let them sift through his fingers. He laughed and looked more foolish than his monkey.
he hefted one of the magical javelins and asked, "I'd like to keep one of them. may I?"
He grabbed some more coins, "And whatever part of this is mine."
I'll update my PC sheet this week. BTW, sorry for posting with my root avatar. :(
Darvan Waverider
"Amaru, while we stuff all of this into sacks, what say you slip up to the top of the pyramid and look around to see if there's anything amiss." Darvan suggests to the rogue.
Amaru seems to have the best combo of perception and stealth to go look around for trouble
Amaru, Ekujae half-elf
"Amaru, while we stuff all of this into sacks, what say you slip up to the top of the pyramid and look around to see if there's anything amiss." Darvan suggests to the rogue.
Still happy with the new loot, the half-elf nodded. "Aye, captain. Wanna make sure nobody's outside waiting for us."[/b
He turned to Noonan, "Yo, stay close but keep quiet."
With that, the rogue stealthily retraced his steps to the top, hoping to be under the sun soon.
stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
please roll other skill checks as necessary

What could be outside the temple? Like, maybe 15,000 lizardmen angry with you for destroying their new god and temple?
Nothing is outside. The boat is as you tied it up.
Insects buzz, birds chirp, the occasional fish jumps in the stream.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
Keith S.
The boat rides noticeably low in the water when loaded with the loot. But the water is calm here and this should not be a worry.
Unless you are tipped over by something and eaten, that is.
Several days pass without mishap and you make it back to the Hag All cannons are transferred to her and cleaned and ready to go.
Anything of value has been looted from the wrecked ship.
You climb aboard the Hag shouting greetings and swilling just a bit of rum.
The loot is brought aboard and all eyes look at it greedily.
Then the look out yells out Black sail coming round the headland! Two masts, methinks! Mayhaps a junk?
Darvan Waverider
"Stow the treasure below decks!"
"All hands to yer stations!!! Look lively!!!!" Darvan hollers out to the crew.
"Let's get the 'Hag underway. I'll want to meet them with us under way." he calls.
profession sailor: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
"Somebody get a good look at them. I want to know if that's Boom-Boom!"
