What I'd like to do? Oh, I'm up for anything where my choices and alliances have impact. I'd like it set in Golarion if we could, so less canon to learn and keep track of.
Do you have any ideas you've been wanting to try out?
GM_Almonihah
Well, the first thing that comes to mind is my Lizard Kings game, which I know you've seen. It looks like it's not even going to get off the ground right now, so I've been debating trying to start over.
The other thought I'd had was to do something long-term with the player as a dragon. There are some excellent rules for playing a dragon by a third-party publisher, and it would be pretty neat to use a dragon's long lifespan to play through some kind of multi-generational tale... or simply do some slow kingdom-building or dealing with long-term consequences that normal adventurers would never see. (The dragon race/class rules are also available for free on the pfsrd, and they're pretty straightforward, so don't worry about that part too much.)
Ideas after that get much more vague, but if neither sound good to you I could pull some more out.

You like wild, high concept stuff. Kaiju, awakened birds...dragons!
The Lizard Kings game looks interesting. I stopped lurking it though when it became apparent Ambition wouldn't go in that direction.
If I said that one, what kind of game do you envision, considering it is Take 2 and a solo?
GM_Almonihah
It wouldn't have to be solo--we could get my brother back in, as he was really looking forward to playing his kineticist.
I *would* like to go through that Pathways system. The one time I did it before we ended up with some really neat concepts and NPC's that were shaping up to make a great game before it all fell apart due to schedules. So that would control how things turned out to some degree. The plan would be to have a combination of forming alliances (and enemies), exploring dangerous wilderness areas and ruins, and probably a war or two later in the campaign.
Kazmir Brightbeard
Do you have any, slightly more down to earth, ideas? If not, that is ok, I'll consider what has been offered, although I think Lizard Kings is best out of that.
GM_Almonihah
Hmmm... I'm sure I can think of some. You're welcome to suggest some, of course.
Kazmir Brightbeard
Game ideas? Mine are probably too prosaic for you...
1. Some kind of Master Thief, 'Ocean's 11' type of game. Big, exotic places to rob for various reasons, gathering a gang of other various specialists, planning and pulling heists.
2. Something planar maybe, traveling to different planes for some higher purpose.
3. Leading a rebellion in some city (be it good or evil). Gathering allies, attacking the overlords, sabotage, secret meetings, the whole Resistance thing.
4. Building a mercenary company. Starting small, just me. Starting with guarding a caravan or a bank, recruiting via adventures and such, gaining in glory and fame, hired to do various interesting jobs, culminating in large scale battles/wars, becoming a real local power.
Just a few ideas....
GM_Almonihah
Hmmm, I could work something planar, probably... but actually, I was just having an idea. I haven't fleshed it out yet, but what do you think of being a member of the watch, or maybe a private investigator, in Absalom? It seems like there's some opportunity to have a lot of interesting stories and characters there.
Kazmir Brightbeard
That would be an amazing game. The reverse of the criminal game!
But would you be content with that?
Absalom was my first Pathfidner love and I have never had a game there yet.
GM_Almonihah
Oh, I think there's enough bizarre things in the City at the Center of the World to satisfy my tastes for truly high fantasy. I'll just have to see if I can do the whole mystery thing well...
Hmm... now I'm immediately wondering if you might be willing to have a magic raven or a shapeshifting cat as a partner... ;)
GM_Almonihah
Hopefully I could keep them to 'snarky animal sidekick' instead of stealing the show. :D
So, details, details... I'll start reading over the Guide to Absalom, and start thinking of various mysteries, and perhaps odd connections between them. What kind of character do you think you'd like to play? It seems like the private investigator angle would give you more freedom to choose cases and such, so I'm leaning that way rather than a member of the watch, but it's up to you.
Kazmir Brightbeard
Hmm...A private investigator sounds good, opens you for shady clients, good clients, mistaken clients. Also gives me more room to manuver thent he Watch AND avoids boring issues of jurisdiction while introducing fun issues of tip toeing about the Watch.
I like it.
GM_Almonihah
All right, I'll start a campaign thread this evening sometime.
GM_Almonihah
Discussion thread is up! I've got a lot of ideas knocking around in my head and not a lot of time to write them down over the next couple of days, so feel free to ask questions to get what you need out of me sooner.
