Male Human Wizard 2

Halloran speaks up, I would strongly advise that only one person at a time cross this bridge, otherwise you are liable to go swimming.

Elaine adds "We don't want the bridge to collapse either then how will the others get across."

you go one at a time across the bridge.

Elaine moves next across the bridge.

Male Human Wizard 2

Halloran goes last.

does this mean asok goes third

You all get across the bridge no problem, though it very hard to get the horses to cross the bridge.

Male Human Wizard 2

Having safely reached the other side, Halloran asks, Do we make camp here for the night? or do we keep going?

Male Elf Ranger

How much daylight is left?

Eliane will try and determine a forcast for weather to next base her decision. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

A few hours are let in the day.

Male Elf Ranger

"Let's rewater here and keep moving. We'll find a good place before sundown. "

Elaine says"I agree".

Male Human Wizard 2

Very well, Halloran says.

Assuming there is a place nearby where he can lead his horse to, Halloran will walk his horse down to the river, drink, refill his waterskin and let his horse drink it's fill.

After that he'll lead his horse away from the river, check it's hooves, check the girth and otherwise light grooming on his horse, while he waits on the others.

When they're ready, he'll remount and say to Silstaren, Lead the way.

Male Elf Ranger

Silstaren starts off down the dirt track they've been following. He keeps alert for anything unusual or dangerous.

Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

1d20 ⇒ 11

Silstaren finds nothing dangerous and finds a good spot to camp for the night, and it'll be cloudy tonight, chance of some light rain.

"Let us camp here tonight"

Male Elf Ranger

"Agreed," Silstaren turns from the path toward the small clearing. Upon reaching it he dismounts and begins removing Duneah's tack, leaving only a halter to picket the horse. He settles into combing and rubbing Duneah and the horses down.

1d10 ⇒ 7

It rains a bit during the night, but other than that it was fine.

Morning comes and the sun shines in the blue sky of few clouds.

Alkaid starts the morning with her exercises, and gets cooking a simple breakfast.

"The rain last night was a bad wake up call."

Eliane says "And it will make new footprints easier to spot and wash old ones away" as a statement of fact and then looks towards the sky.

Male Human Wizard 2

There are worse ways to wake up, Halloran says.

At least we weren't attacked during the night, may I help you with that lady? he asks gesturing at the cooking.

Profession: Cook (if Alkaid says yes) 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Halloran helps Alkaid cook a breakfast meal and everyone gets ready for the day.

Male Human Wizard 2

Having helped cook, clean up and saddled his horse, Hallorn mounts his horse, and looks to Silstaren, Lead the way, friend. he says gesturing to the countryside.

Male Elf Ranger

Silstaren makes his customary circle around the camp in the morning looking for signs of animals that ventured near the camp in the night. He checks the horses before saddling up Duneah.

Lead the way, friend.

Silstaren grins, "I'll find the path though I'm no Pathfinder."

He swings into the saddle as Duneah circles nervously around and times the motion so that the horse is pointed down the path as he gains his seat. He doesn't pull in the slightest on the reins as the roan walks between the trees.

Forward! to the northeast and Boccob's hut.

Elaine takes a keen look at the vegetation while we move towards the hut. Looking at the plant life and to see if anytihng is hiding in it.

Male Elf Ranger

Silstaren presses forward. Like Elaine he watches the plants and land carefully.

We've got a couple hexes to go before we get to the hut I think. That's a lot of vegetation to watch.

Male Human Wizard 2

Halloran follows the group, observing the scenery, but not studying anything in particular.

Perception check please

GM:

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 Perception.

Male Elf Ranger

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 Perception

Male Human Wizard 2

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Elaine and Silstaren find a 5-foot overgrown hole that leads
down 20 feet to a 30-foot-diameter cave. The cave wall
directly across from the entrance sparkles slightly.

Appraise or Knowledge(dungeoneering) to id sparkle

Elaine says "I see a cave with something sparkling I don't know what it is"

Male Human Wizard 2

Hallorn dismounts his horse, hands his reigns to Silstaren, takes out a torch, lights it and goes down in the cave to take a look.

Appraise: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Halloran Westover:
It's a large gold vein.

Male Elf Ranger

Thinking about holes and giant spiders, Silstaren also dismounts and wraps the reins for both horses around a nearby branch. He walks forward in case Halloran finds trouble.

Alkaid follows them in and see's the wall.

"So what is it"

Male Human Wizard 2

Desna laughs, Hallorn whispers to himself, turning to the others with a stunned expression he says, It's gold, I don't know how much exactly, but there's a lot of it, here.

Male Elf Ranger

Silstaren's expression turns grim, but he says nothing.

Gold will draw men as honey draws flies. They will swarm here like locusts and leave a bare husk of earth. The wealth of this land will be its ruin.

"Given it's untouched state, I don't think anyone knows about it, but us."

Elaine says "If someone did claim it the might have left a suprise to anyone that tries to jump their claim so be careful if you go in."

Male Human Wizard 2

Shaking his head to clear his shock, Hallorn looks back to the vein, Should we try to collect some of it? or leave it for another day? he asks.

"If you bring a bit back, it'll raise a few questions."

Elaine says "What if someone else finds it?"

"I don't think anyone else knows about it, given the conditions of the area, and no signs that anyone have been here."

Elaine replies "True"

Male Elf Ranger

Funny I had made a post arguing roughly the same as Alkaid a couple days ago, but its gone. Cursed Board monster!

Silstaren agrees with the cleric. "If we hide it, I'm sure I can find this place again. And we should try to deliver the berries before they spoil."

Eliane replies "Good point Silstaren"
