The street tough behind the barral had to do a doubletake when Sarinah approached Ransuer gleaming.
Be careful Girlie you might get hurt out here.
He began ducking easily under her hard swipe across the barrel.
"ho ho ho some fire in you... cant wait to see if you keep that fire later."
He began drawing his dagger and trying to jab it into her shoulder.
dagger attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Despite her deftness the dagger just slipped in deep enough to make a sizable cut in her shoulder, blood trickling down his blade. The man on his right decideding she was distracted enough moved to charge on the other side of the barrel to flank her but he was caught entirely unprepared as her glave buried itself into his side.
The man with the arrow jutting out of his side,no doubt probably buried into his lung who had sullied himself earlier in fear of Ulfr staggered into the alleyway just out of sight.

He moved quickly to try and follow everyone out, after all, He had already been jealous all morning of the attention that Sarinah was paying to Andrezi. It would have been fine had her pretty dark haired twin decided to play with him. He wasnt quite expecting Marinah to just stop and lean out the window, though as he moved and half stuff his face into her rear end he thought it wasnt a bad idea. Still There were things to do. So he turned and kicked open the other side of the cairrage door and hopped out onto the ground. He just caught the tail end of a rough dressed man hightailing it for the opposite alleyway and so he took off after him leaving the way clear for Ryn to leave on his side if she choose.

Ryn Mero |

"Stay safe, and kill anything that comes close." Ryn says to Marinah as she steps out of the carriage. Her eyes scan the battlefield taking in the scenario and noting Sarinah being wounded, just before injuring the other approaching thug. The galdiatrix' eyes narrow as she tries to determine if the ranseur would would be enough to take the man out of the fight.

There was a sickening crack as she shield impacted with the mans nose blood instantly bursting outward... even more extreme however was the way his head snapped back at a very unnatural angle. He dropped instantly to the ground, gave a single twitch, then lay still.
Nice throw!

Zev Kelevra |

Seeing the armed... courtesan? Being wounded by a thug brought a snarl to Zev's face, though that was quickly replaced by an appreciating nod as a chunk of metal rudely planted itself in said thug's face. Or where his face used to be anyway.
Finally getting whiff of the other thug's shame while he was fleeing the Nidalan shook his head before snarling at the remaining thugs. "You all should be running." he growls as he gives a full circular swing of his Greatsword in one hand to build momentum as he walks at the nearest thug before bringing it down in a two handed chop.

Andrezi Vhiski |

Andrezi watches the man slip away in the alley, frowning. He shouts, "One has slipped away over there, do you want me to give pursuit or let him flee?"
Loading another arrow he takes aim and prepares to fire when he catches the attack on his party member. "Sonofa" Distracted by the blood spatter, his shot flies incredibly off its mark and buries itself into one of the barrels instead.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 = 10

Sarinah |

The feel of the dagger slicing her shoulder brought a strange gasp of mixed pain and pleasure as she glared at the man. "You should have gotten out of the way when asked. You could have come visit us at the temple and had a really good time. Now I'm going to have to chastise you." Stepping back deftly Sarinah struck with her ransuer at the fool.

Shouldn't be an into melee penalty, I'm not adjacent when I attacked since the ransuer is a reach weapon. Not that it likely matters with that roll.

The man whom seemed intent on gutting Sarinah at first took the slash from her deft stepping back. Noticing the tide of battle was against him he spun for the alleyway and fled. (disengaging) The alleyway opposite from where he fled you all heard a loud crashing of crates and Trendon cursing from where he had chased the first man who had fled.
RYN you are up, followed by Andrezi Ulfr and Zev, one gang member ran down the rigt alleyway where there was a crash and Tredon cursing, the other (heavily wounded) Went down the left alleyway where tehy came from

Zev Kelevra |

Zev thought about giving chase, but remembered what the other man had said about this being a distraction and didn't want to leave sight of the carriage.
Are there any more thugs still hanging around?

Andrezi Vhiski |

Andrezi spins around with his arrow ready to find a target. Unable to immediately find one he watches Ryn take off down the alleyway. He asks, "One got away, do we care? I'm afraid if we give chase it could lead into another trap. I saw we get some answers to questions here and be on our way as planned."

Did you miss this?

Andrezi Vhiski |

Andrezi lets the runner escape, more concerned about splitting the party and falling into another trap. "Are any of the men still capable of being questioned? We may want to get some answers from one before we move on."

Sarinah |

With the last of the hooligans driven off Sarinah slid her ransuer back to where she'd had it above the carriage door and began to apply pressure to her wounded shoulder. As she heard Andrezi ask if one of their attackers was still alive and able to ask questions Sarinah purred viciously, "Oh I still hope so."

DM The nines |

As you hurried into the alleyway Ryn You were able to catch a pile of crates tumbling down on Trendon. You could hear him cursing underneath the pile and the thug who pushed them over atop him paled and turned to try and run... Your blow struck perfectly and you heard a snapping sound . . . the way the man flopped torwards the ground you didnt think he was going to get up anytime soon... or again for that matter.
AS the commotion died down you were left with a half dozen or so thugs laying there on the streets barrels a quarter filled with sand blocking the path for the carraige to continue its way.

Trendon Razner |

"Hey help me out here will you?"
You could here the former noble son turned bar call from the stack of crafts the noise of wood shifting beneath it. He was just able to push the top most crate off enough to see the top of his head. Slowly about you on the streets you saw a few heads peak out from windows, look at the barrels and bodies and then disapear again wooden slatterns slamming back into place.

Zev Kelevra |

Zev scratches his head before sighing and begins helping Ulfr move the barrels.

Marinah |

Marina slips out of the coach and begins walking among the fallen criminals.
"Gentleman, you're in the presence of two beautiful ladies." As Marina passes her sister, she kisses her softly. "It won't do to lay around ignoring us. Very rude. One of you must want to rise and woe us?"

Andrezi Vhiski |

To add to the effect of the siren-like voice Marinah speaks in, Andrezi puts a nice pointy arrow in his bow and draws it back to remind them of the alternative. You know, just in case.

DM The nines |

One man amongst the fallen tries to speak, blood gurgling from the corner of his mouth before with a single ragged cough he lies still once more. None of the others at this quick glance seem able to answer. Finally the ex-noble bard managers to come stumbling from the crates.
Almost as if to punctuate the nobles dramatic entrance just about two blocks down you Andrezi and you Marinah see a half dozen of the city watch rushing you're way. A few dozen paces behind them you see a very large guardsperson in armor much more ornate and expensive looking.
Sorry guys, i had this posted already I had thought

Sarinah |

Sarinah returned her sister's kiss fervently as she felt magic course through her and heal the injury she had sustained. She walked with Marinah as she began looking for a thug to question and, finding none who can obviously answer. the sight of one gurgling brought Sarinah to a stop as she said, "Sister, this one seems to still have life left in him. Check him and revive him if he does, maybe we can get something useful out of him."
No sooner had Sarinah spoken than she saw the guards coming. Knowing that they needed to distract them Sarinah ran towards the guardsmen sobbing, "Oh thank goddess you've arrived, we were beset by thugs as we rode through the area."

Ryn moves to stand over Marinah and the thug, should the idiot get any ideas about attacking the one who'd just pared him death.

Warily eyeing the guards that approach Zev lowers his sword but does not return it to his back.

You do indeed recognize the guard... and its not for the better. About a month ago She had caused quite a row with The Calistrian faith there in the city. A sister in faith had evidently been smuggling in ... contraband drugs of a narcotic nature and That guardswoman had tracked the shipments to her. Since then Tabitha Ralthus had been an annoyance in the Calistrian faith's side.
The guards could quickly see the essentials of the situation and the woman called out loudly.
"In the name of the law, stand down and sheath your weapons!"
She shot a clear glare of warning slash suspicion torwards Sarinah and Marinah. The guards cautiously moved forward still torwards the fallen gang members keeping a wary eye on you especially Ulfr and Zev, if only for the larger size of your obvious weaponry.
One of them called out.."Lieutenant... Its those damn Wreckwash Blades again.. this is the third ..." He started and stopped when he heard he clear her throat.
She took her helmet off and locks of dark hair fell to left side of her face easily displaying the almost half shaven side of her head. She wasnt by any means unnattractive, but her jaw was too big and her scowl too clear to be found that attractive... that and she looked like she enjoyed to rearrange peoples faces too often. She glared almost challengingly torwards you Ulfr.
" WHo's in charge here. You all have forms to fill, Guardsman Torval get statements up and down the streets."
SHe began crossing her arms and Trendon adjusted his coats lapel.
"Guard Lieutenant."
He began just a hint of boredom or was that annoyance in his voice.
"I am Trendon, My house sigil is here if you will."
He began and she sharply glared at him with her eyes narrowing.
"Good... You can read and write to fill out the paperwork... and you can afford the fine for disturbing the peace."
She growled and he sort of half shrunk half cringed away.
giving you folk a chance to talk too :) When I say big I dont mean like super body builder but more sort of Angel Dust from like Deadpool big... know what i mean?

Ryn Mero |

Ryn steps over the dead thug's body, picking up her shield, and wiping the blood off it's edge. Striding over to where the woman glares at Trendon, she responds.
"So they attempt to rob and kill us, we defend ourselves and disturb the peace? Nice to know you prefer the peace of good citizens quietly having their throats slit in your city streets." she says with undisguised sarcasm. "Next time we'll just roll over and die quietly....not"

Ulfr Uggason |

Ulfr uses one of the unbroken water barrels to clean the bits of human off his club, then stores it. Oddly, this doesn't seem to make him any less threatening...
She's right. If the guard is attacked you fight back. Would you have us be lambs before this group of thugs?

Sarinah |

Sarinah was not happy, she'd been intending to play on the sympathies of the guardsmen and with the B!@!!es presence that was all ruined now. She privately acknowledged her respect for the guard woman, it took the balls of a titan to be willing to anger the Calistrian faith and the woman had done so without batting an eye, real courage that...or stupidity. She heard Trendon's efforts to get the woman to work with him fail and finally said, "Trendon, this is Tabitha Ralthus, the woman who had the courage to anger the entire church of Calistria in the city and then continue to poke at us like someone poking at a wasp nest. She hasn't been stung yet but I imagine it's just a matter of time. She won't be intimidated and she won't negotiate," smiling slightly she said, "she's actually an honest guard, something I thought didn't exist."

Ulfr Uggason |

Ulfr chuckles. Ticking off the godess of holding a grudge. You may be honest, but you sure are stupid. He kicks one of the corpses. We were attacked. I even asked for surrender all nice like. They didn't take it, and I don't take prisoners.

Trendon Razner |

"Look look i get it okay. Procedures and policies. If we come down to the station and fill out paperwork will you stop with the glares?"
He asked the woman sliding forward enough to pull Sarinah back. He was afraid for a moment she was going to go on a tirade or something, though he was confused when he saw here genuine smile.
Come along then friends, we can walk the few blocks to the station.
He began offering the woman a tilt of his head.

DM The nines |

The large woman nodded grinning just for a moment at Ulfr with an almost grin for his club and his annoyance.
"Guardsman Talvin, Guardsmen Wedge, Lead them to the station, Guardsman Biggs speak to the drive."
She began starting to stalk about her men and growl out orders to them fully expecting the adventurers to do exactly as they said now and clearly moving on to what happened here.

Ryn Mero |

Casting Trendon a brief glare for choosing to back down, Ryn slings her shield over her shoulders, turning back to the others. I guess we need to go deal with this now."
