Miagnik
Miagnik stopped running forward, noting the icy maiden before Baranbus began berating him from before."What? No, I wouldn't anyway, there's too many locals who could be hurt!"
Forcing himself to halt his advance, he remembered the lessons he'd learned from Maelodakh about recklessly charging into the fray against the Drowned mMidens and their minions and instead called to Stephanie's cool headed instructions about defending ones self.
"Kaaren Okaagec" Summoning the inner flames to shield himself from the chill.
Resist Energy- Cold, -10.
Agos Cheimón
Seeing the the dwarf is dead, Agos turns back up the street and rushes to catch up with the others, his eyes sharp as they dart amongst the undead arrayed before them. What new accursed dead be these?
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Double move or Run (whichever's necessary) to catch up with Miagnik.
Moralane
Another silver-tipped arrow streaked forth, finding a new target as soon as the first one fell.
Longbow (targeting red), point blank, favored enemy, barrow warden: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Damage, last silver arrow: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Aaaand I'm all out of silver arrows until I recover the ones I fired. Going to have to change tactics.
Beldain Rockdust
"That fireball was your Miagnik?", Beldain asks incredulously.
It looked like it came from him but to know it...I may be outclassed by this party...Help how you can Beldain. The important thing is the undead.
"More of them up ahead!"
Beldain draws two more arrows and fires.
The traffic jam is a bit hard to parse but I think the guy at X24 is an enemy, not in cover, and not in melee; feel free to retarget if I'm misinterpreting.
Bow/Rapid Shot/Favored Enemy/Corpse Hunter: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 13
Bow/Rapid Shot/Favored Enemy/Corpse Hunter: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 17
Damage 1/Favored Enemy: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11
Damage 2/Favored Enemy: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 2 = 9
"By the Helmsman, Beldain. Take your time and aim!"
No move, just rapid shot.
Brolma Emberrock
Brolma narrows her eyes at the less than effective channel, she decides to switch tactics and offers a prayer...
The ash is the heart of the diamond. The song the heart of our history. I sing it quietly for those who wish it and mark their skin with the spent flame so they remember where we come from.
Prayer! For the next 5 rounds: "You and each of your allies gain a +1 luck bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saves, and skill checks, while each of your foes takes a -1 penalty on such rolls." Make sure to add your bonuses folks...

Round 3…
Moralane fires her last silver tipped arrow, striking another one of the vampires. yellow
Dinura and Chuffer have disappeared from the street mysteriously
Two of the vampires (red and Blue) now lie in the street, still as death, but their actual condition is unknown
Taking a step back two of the vampires load and fire their crossbows again
Missile Attack vs Moralane: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Missile Attack vs Brolma: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Moralane is struck again
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7
While another vampire attacks Baradesh with a short sword
Melee Attack vs Baradesh: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
but the blow is harmless
Baradesh swings the heavy hammer again driving the vampire in front of him back in the street with another blow and then quickly Kurgan follows up on the same vampire for a blow with the halberd which drives the vampire to the ground
Baradash can delay his next attack, or not, allowing Kurgan to strike before him, otherwise it seems a bit funny that if Baradesh hits, the vampire is pushed back, and then Kurgan has to fill in the gap
now a third vampire goes down (orange)leaving only Yellow and Green standing
Brolma speaks a prayer of bravery, and the heroes around her feel the power of the divine energy flowing into them
Bloma’s Prayer will affect, Moralane, Kurgan, and Baradesh, but she is too far away from the battle in the intersection to the west of her current location
I have made some minor adjustments to the damage tracker
Round 4 begins now

Meanwhile…
Beldain, Miagnic, Agos, and Barnabas – each of your actions will count as taking place in a “surprise round.” Now before you can act again please roll initiative, and if you choose to do so, a Perception Skill Check
Miagnik, Barnabas, and Beldain enter the fray at the intersection, with Barnabas transforming into a clawed reptilian animal nearly the size of a full grown man as Scuff charges into the battle attacking a zombie.
Miagnik pauses once he recognizes the form of the Drowned Maiden and with a simple spell protects himself from the chilling magic of the undead woman.
Agos is slow to catch up to the others and he stops looking left and right before getting too close, and tries to determine what he is up against
Beldain draws arrows as fast as he can and fires into a zombie,
X22 is a Zombie, but I don’t see that Beldain has Precise Shot, so he would be at a -4 to hit, right?. The only Undead Creature NOT in Melee is the Drowned Maiden (the blue woman’s face token).
One arrow strikes the zombie, but the creature seems not to recognize the injury

Round 1 - Battle at the Intersection
So, Great Father, you've led me into the Curse of the Vampire Queen.
Agos moves up alongside the others. "These skeletons will explode when they are defeated, and the woman's scream summons the icy cold of the depths." His glittering eyes meet the gaze of each of his fellow defenders for an instant, then he nods and intones: "We're all for one and one for all, giving our life should one fall."

The mystical forces around Beldain are, quite frankly, a bit dizzying to the inexperienced dwarf.
The power in these companions...
"Agos, how do you know all this?"
Beldain takes another step forward and takes aim at another of the undead.
This time aiming at W23 which does not appear to be in cover or engaged in melee

"Agos, how do you know all this?"
"From sailor's tales and sacred texts, wind-whispered and water-writ."
Miagnik
Battle at the intersection, RP.
"Be careful, the drowned maiden and her skeletons will explode in bursts of ice when you destroy them! Everyone who's fighting the undead, get back here! We're here to help!" Miagnik warned the crowd.
Terquem
Kurgan and Baradesh are relentless, pushing forward their combined attacks bring down one, and then another of the vampire spawn.
As the vampire spawn fall villagers rush them, driving stakes in their hearts, and quickly bundling up the bodies.
Moralane runs toward one of the corpses and pulls out her silver arrows just as another dwarf of this town is hammering a thick wooden, rosewood stake into the vampire’s chest
A rolling ball of fire appears in the intersection, and as Miagnik directs its path zombies and skeletons are set ablaze.
Agos commands a powerful magic connection between his own spirit and the new friends he has made
Scruff tears a zombie apart, avoiding the frozen dangers of the skeletons, while Barnabas looks about for some clue as to what the undead hear are after, then he spots something on the second floor
Beldain spots a skeletal looking zombie alone in the street and his arrows strike with perfect precision.
The monster explodes in shards of ice, freezing sea spray and cold air. A few villagers are knocked off their feet, but none appear hurt badly
Then the strange undead women, in drenched, tattered formal gowns move toward each other. They seem to exchange words between them, then one of them speaks in a voice that sounds like a storm on the sea in the dead of winter

There is no need to post combat round actions any more. The Vampire Spawn are defeated, the skeletons and zombies will be no match for the rest of you and the locals who came out into the street to fight. However, now we have a chase on our hands, and I’m not sure I’m the best at running chases. One drowned maiden is at V/24 the other is at W/23. Agos will be in AC/24, Kurgan is in W/11, Baradesh is in X/10, Moralane is in T/9 – all the rest of you are where you are shown on the map. The drowned Maidens will move first, reaching S/30 and U/30. If you move to within 15 feet of the Drwoned Maidens you must make a Fortitude Save, the DC 14, a fail means you take d6 (NL) Cold Damage – YOU must pass this Save every round that you are within 15 feet of a Drowned Maiden. Miagnik can attack one of the Maidens with the Flaming Sphere. We begin a new round count starting now, Initiative is not needed, unless one of you needs to do something ahead of someone else – IF this is the case, I strongly recommend you go to the discussion thread and plan your moves with each other
As the Drowned Maidens hurry toward the alley, a ghostly apparition begins to swirl in the street near Moralane. She is, at first, startled, but takes a defensive stand and readies herself for the new threat, only to be shocked when the ghostly apparition takes on the appearance of Hallister.
Hallister’s spirit appears to Moralane – You can take control of him now, but before you do – he imparts this message
Hallister speaking to Moralane in a whisper
I have overheard a messenger from Omara – Vampires have taken the place, using spells to disguise themselves, of many members of the Black Watch. They have collected the chests that were in the capital. They all the chests save the one that was here in this town. They do not know where it is, nor do I, but I suspect the Undead Eye knows where it is. If they find the last chest they will be closer to going through with the ritual to end all life on this world. They must be stopped, the chest must be secured. How can I help you. Until I am free, I am yours to command.
Round 1, the chase…
Moralane
Moralane was heartbroken. The appearance of Hal's ghost mean that Hal had died.
"I'm so sorry..." It was all she could think to say. Her heart was lodged in her throat and her eyes began to brim.
Yes, I know Hal isn't actually dead, but Moralane doesn't. There's a lot to process in this moment.
Miagnik
Moralane nodded quickly and took a shuddering breath, forcing everything she was feeling back down. "Miagnik!" she shouted "Where are you!"
Standard Action: Casting Magic missile on the zombie on X-20.
"Gharlin Ghereel'daan"
Force Damage: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1, 1) + 3 = 9
Miagnik's head jerked toward the sound of the yelling. He recognized that voice.
"Moralane! I'm here and I found some new allies! But we've gotta help protect the town first!"
As he saw the Maiden's conversing he began shouting at the people still fighting in the thick of things and knew they were in danger from the maidens cold auras. He started to move forward but found himself staggering as his head swam and his vision faltered.
5 ft. adjust forward.
"Get back! Get away from them!" he pleaded with the crowd while throwing his arm to the side, causing his flaming sphere to roll after the closer of the two maidens.
Move action: move flaming sphere to V-23.
Dc.16 reflex save vs. Fire damage: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3, 2) + 3 = 9
Beldain Rockdust
"They are getting away! We must pursue. Goblin! Let's go!"
Beldain begins moving in a circuitous pattern to make sure he has eyes on the two maidens at all times.
Move to AA28
Kurgan Kegstalker
Still under the effects of his blessed alcohol, Kurgan took off running after the drowned maidens, going straight for them. As he did so his mug refilled itself with divinely created hard cider, which he guzzled down, giving him an extra boost of speed.
Expeditious retreat cast. Movement speed now 50ft for 1 minute. Then move action to go after them. Then run run run with halberd raised
Baradesh Ironheart
Clueless as to what was going on, Baradesh followed. He wasn't going to catch anyone without a delay, but if someone else did so perhaps he could delay the Maidens while people hunted for...whatever this was about.
Moralane
"Miagnik!"
What would Hal say...
"Remember what the fight is about! They're going to keep coming back. They want the Wedding Gift, but they don't know where it is! We have to find it first!"
"We have to talk to the Eye!"
Miagnik
"We still have to stop them first. Wait, the EYE?!!" Miagnik yelled back, moving forward to the clearing to actually see Moreland. "But Hal said he didn't want us to go back! Ever!"
Barnabas Stoneshaper
Dinosaur-Barnabas lets out a piercing shriek to get his companions attention. He urgently gestures at a second story window across the intersection. Once he is sure that someone has seen his message he takes off after one of the drowned maidens (one that isn't followed by anyone else if there is one). Scruff follows after as fast as he can. Speed 60 feet
Fortitude: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
If he can reach the drowned maiden in one move hes attempts a bite as well.
Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Agos Cheimón
Round 1 - The Chase
Agos cocks a bushy eyebrow at the strange feathered lizard-dwarf, his eyes following it's gestures to the windows across the street. What point does this lizard convey? Go there or stay away? He crosses the intersection towards the lizard's window, keeping his eyes on it to see if he notices anything remarkable about it.

Round 1, the chase…
As the strange Drowned Maidens rush off toward the nearby alley, Miagnik aims a burst of magical force like missiles into the body of one of the Zombies. The emaciated walking corpse staggers but does not go down.
Meanwhile, the townsfolk knocked down by the recently exploding skeleton scramble on hands and knees toward the buildings searching for a way out of the area as quickly as possible and soon the street is empty of everyone except the monsters and the party of heroes.
Miagnik continues to shout warnings to the dwarves as they flee the area then directs the flaming sphere at one of the Drowned Maidens as it begins to move.
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
The cold sea water clinging to her dress hisses and evaporates in steam, but the heat does seem to pain the undead creature some
Kurgan downs a sloshing beverage from the mug in his hand and then charges down the darkened street, but the Skeletons and Zombies, following the orders of the maiden, form into a line, and he suddenly comes right up against a strange, tall humanoid zombie Kurgan’s forward charge brings him up against a Cold Zombe, he is attacked
Zombie bash attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
The slow swinging arms of the undead creature are easy to avoid and Kurgan looks for a way to get by
Kurgan - will you move past the Zombie, risking an AoO or stand your ground against this foe?
Suddenly Moralane comes around the corner and confronts a confused Miagnik
Barnabas, in his “Murderbird™” form charges through the street and catches the scorched maiden just as she reaches the mouth of the alley and then, skidding to a stop, bites the maiden as the cold air around him begins to sink in.
Meanwhile…
Agos, seeing the raptor make a strange gesture up and to the right, looks up at the window and sees a middle aged dwarven man speaking excitedly at the window on the second floor
Round 2…
The Drowned Maiden attacked by Barnabas spins in the street and opens her mouth letting out a scream that is both terrifying and powerful. A blast of cold seawater tears across Barnabas’ flesh
Barnabas is exposed to a 15’ cone of Magic Cold Sea Breath, the blast does 2d6 damage (lethal) with a reflex save, DC 19, for half damage if he succeeds
The other maiden keeps going up the alley, as Beldain sees the mysterious breath of the strange drowned maiden spew forth over Barnabas.

Cold Iron Damage: 1d10 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25
Forcing his way past the zombies, trusting his armor to protect him, Kurgan ran straight towards the nearest maiden and slammed his halberd into her.
Beldain Rockdust
It seems to Beldain like most of the more vulnerable citizens are leaving the street. Inwardly he's relieved by this even if they were giving him some cover from the attention of the undead.
With so much going on in the street, Beldain continues moving to follow the departing maiden, taking a shot with his bow as he moves.
Move to Y31
Fire at the skeleton(?) at W27
Shot!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Shaking his head, Miagnik glared at Moralane. But he nodded. "Fine! I'll clear the way and then I'm going!"
"Get back from the undead!" he shouted while holding out his hand.
Miagnik will wait to see if the group backs away. If they do, he will throw a fireball at square U-27.

Round 2 - The Chase
Unable to deduce what magics the dwarf may be working, for the moment Agos gives him the benefit of the doubt and assumes he is living and opposed to the undead filling the streets. Moving forward into the intersection he calls forth the breath of Trembor to blow their path clear of the shambling dead.

Round 2, wrap up…round 3
Barnabas continues to assault the drowned maiden, shrugging off the cold. The smash of his form’s teeth in a vicious bite attack crushes the drowned maiden’s forearm, and while his slashing claws tear at her flesh they seem to do no real damage to her at all. His animal friend runs out across the street in an attempt to maneuver into the alleyway
Kurgan comes up upon a slow moving undead creature and with a surprising degree of agility he rolls to the side coming up along the storefronts of the street, avoiding the monster he makes a complete turnaround without slowing down and as he comes upon the drowned maiden his halberd slashes across her shoulder doing a bit less damage than he expected the blow would do.
Beldain moves diagonally across the intersection until he comes up to a place to the right of the drowned maiden and her dwarven and raptor attackers. He fires an arrow down the dark narrow alley but his shot is too high.
Baradesh, not recognizing the goblin shouting orders in the street keeps running and soon comes upon a Flaming Sphere and two zombies blocking his way.
Baradesh can either change directions while he is running, to go the direction Moralane is running or continue straight into the Zombies
Miagnik watches as the fools around him do not heed his warning and now he must decide to risk a fireball into the center of the intersection and what that might do to the people who seem to be fighting with Moralane
Moralane, on the other hand, runs down the intersection to come up next to Miaknik
At that moment the old dwarven cleric, Agos shuffles quickly, as quickly as an old dwarf can, passed Miagnik and into the center of the intersection himself, and raising his holy symbol he shouts a rebuke against the undead
Zombie Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Skeleton Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
The power of the radiant energy destroys two of the already damaged skeletons. Their armor cracks open and an explosion of cold sea erupts from their bones
Kurgan and Barnabas are caught in the 10' blast of one of the cold skeletons, they both take d6 cold damage, Reflex Save DC 13 for half
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Please, remember that if your turn begins and you are within 30 feet of the Drowned Maiden while it is still up, you must pass a Fortitude save DC 14, or take d6 Non Lethal Cold damage – this is an all or nothing save
Before I post the Drowned Maidens round 3 action, I need to know if Miagnik will go through with the fiureball, he started he would not if others did not clear the street, also I need some clarification from Baradesh on where he will run , his direct path to the drowned maiden is blocked by a flaming sphere, two zombies and an armored skeleton
Drowned Maiden 2 – takes 4 damage (41)
Drowned Maiden 2 – takes 7 damage (34)

Drowned Maiden 2 – takes 9 damage (25)
Drowned Maiden 2 – takes 20 damage (5)
Kurgan Kegstalker
Ref: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Pulling his halberd out, Kurgan had just enough time to see the explosion coming. He turned, bringing his arm up to shield his face from the blast of cold. His armor took the brunt of it. It was so cold that it burnt...but he wasn’t going to let anything as mundane as that stop him.
Miagnik
The Chase, Round 3: Revised plan
Miagnik waited to release the destructive ball of flame... but then he saw more Dwarves run in from the side of the street and even Agos moved in. He was frustrated but then the blinding flash of light flared out and suddenly there were fewer zombies left standing.
In that moment he realized that he and Moralane did not have to solve everything. These Dwarves that he had just met were all here fighting for their home just as much as they were. He had gathered these ones here and he'd brought them to Moralane. Now he'd give them a chance to prove their mettle to her.
"Okay Moralane, I've brought you your allies. I'm going to the Eye of Lakoradak."
He reached out quickly saying a spell, "Kaaren Okaagec"
Casting Resist Energy-Cold on Moralane. (Cold -10, 1 hour)
"Don't die before I get back!"
Then Miagnik will start moving to the Eye.
Moralane
Moralane was confused for a moment, and worried about sending Miagnik off alone to speak with the Eye, but maybe he had a point. She wasn't even sure what she would have said, and if Hal's ghost was haunting her, he'd be pissed about talking to the Eye at all. Better to ask forgiveness than permission. She took a deep breath as Miagnik ran off.
"Rally on me!" she called out. "We're going to clear these monsters out of the town!"
"If you down one, drag it with you! They'll come back. We need to chain them up! Stay clear of the frozen women! Take them down at range!"
She started sending arrows towarded the nearest Drowned Maiden.

Darkness, confusion, new heroes taking to the streets, and old enemies dredged up from the fog of memories. Time seems to slow down to a crawl and everything feels cold
Round 3…
As Miagnik and Moralane shout back and forth, the others in the street focus on the decrepit corpses that still stand. The drowned maiden between Barnabas and Kurgan staggers back to the side from the relentless attacks. Putrid sea water seeps from her wounds, and then she lifts he head and screams again
Barnabas is caught in the 15’ cone of Magic Cold Sea Breath again, the blast does 2d6 damage (lethal) with a reflex save, DC 19, for half damage if he succeeds
Cold Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
The blast passes right in front of Kurgan and he holds his breath for a moment. Now that the Drowned Maiden has stepped away He must decide to follow up, and close in on her to possibly deliver a felling blow, or retreat before it is too late.
Baradesh plows through the undead determined to reach the Drowned Maiden himself, but as soon as he gets close to her he feels the temperature all around him drop
The other drowned maiden is out of sight
Miagnik’s flaming sphere consumes a zombie reducing it to ashes, while two other undead follow Baradesh, a skeleton clawing at him as he passes by
Melee attack vs Baradesh: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Moralane turns away from Miagnik and raises her bow firing two arrows into the body of the Drowned Maiden, but the arrows have little effect
