Anyone wanna join up for a game where we start at a hilariously high level just for giggles? What if some level 10 PC's from Kingmaker went over to Ustalav for the start of Carrion Crown? What if a Level 12 bunch of mercenaries happened to be in Numeria at the time of Iron Gods? I fully expect the GM to have to BS it to keep us in line of the story, but still. It could be fun just to see how it goes. Maybe just a module?

Oh and my plate is a little too full to GM it Right now. Sorry if I've teased you, but just seeing if there are any GM's with a sense of humor out there willing to put a party together and go kick ass for giggles. Maybe we can work something out like GMing for one another?

I shall await the nay-saying replies now...

Liberty's Edge

Would you be willing to DM a Giantslayer AP in return?

Hmm perhaps. It would have to be a while in the future once I get the time. I'll also have to get the materials.

Liberty's Edge

So... for giggles, at least at the beginning?

This looks like fun. I wouldn't mind playing a character in this.

I'll try to run it as soon as I can, unless you want in on either of the homebrews I have on deck beforehand. Getting the material shouldn't be a big deal for me :) what AP would you like to run with op characters?

Liberty's Edge

Your call.
But, if you ask me, what about "Wrath of the Righteous"?

I'd play that. I think Wrath of the Righteous sounds hilarious with those rules.

Liberty's Edge

Ok, start working on Level 12 characters, and, keeping to the spirit, anything goes. No Mythic, Wealth by level, HP Half + 1, 2 traits + 1 if drawback. Any race, 3rd party valid.
And need for Ace to select the Adventure Path.

It sounds funny. I'll keep an eye here :)

Oh! If you want to make it extra insane...
Use ABP. With no reduction in WBL.

And can we have templates?
What point buy? Or roll formula?

EDIT: Can we make our own race with the Race Builder?

Oh, and Dot. I love making absurdly powerful characters. Hi Chess! Remember me?

...broken 12th level characters you say?

Why yes I could probably do that. Also, hi Ace! o/

Yes please, I really want to try a high level investigator

And if you want insane let's go

gustalt two main classes or one main and one NPC class 12th level.

Add in mythic 1th level [or 3]

With pre game crafting but must have feats

Hero points

Background skills

And psionics 3pp

Templates [max 2 CR affects one side of gustalt]

Race biulder [16 TO max No item over 4 RP]

Liberty's Edge

25 point buy.
No Custom races.
No ABP. Makes a mess of things.

And templates?

Liberty's Edge

Like "Half-Dragon"? No thanks.

I mean, I was thinking more "lycanthrope," but whatever.

I'll have to think of something awesome.

...............................................

Why not?

Dotting with a 12th level human machinesmith. Cause I wanna be iron man.

No Gestalt.

GM_Panic wrote:

Later in the game, not at the start.

GM_Panic wrote:

Can have crafting feats, but normal WBL at the start. (Reads: Can't have more than 108,000 gp in gear)

I'm going to make a high-level stalker character who's convinced that reality is an illusion to be broken free of. Demons are manifestations of destructive thought, and while destroying them is a good thing, his primary motivation will be trying to empty his belief in reality enough that he can break free of it, and out into whatever real world or state of being that lies beyond the illusion.

I hope stalker is okay.

Ierox wrote:

Did I said 3pp was ok?

Yes, I did!
Go for it ;)

Okay, on second thought, gonna make me a Taninim Draconic Exemplar. Cause demons are crunchy and pre-cooked!

I'll get to work on a character tomorrow, probably a melee frontliner. I'll peek at the APs before officially weighing in. Wrath would probably be fine, just whatever you think you can keep a bunch of broken characters in line with the story on. Might be nice to do one you're pretty familiar with.

interesting

Though I am disappointed about no background skills.

Spheres of power?

I finally have a chance to play a DR based character that will be INVINCIBLE!

"Oh my little billy! having trouble getting through that 25 DR/- with that great sword? Hahaha! Don't worry! I'm sure someday you'll get it." *smoosh*

Psionics in you say yiiipppee, hummm Elan Psion tekepath sounds fun, may change race.

Got to think now what they are like.

Another one gm

Sphere's of power?

In that case it would be Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne or Kingmaker.

Here's a majority of my build done. I'm only using one piece of 3PP material and its the Wild healing feat, from paizo fans united, it lets me heal 1d8+con+cha as a standard action but makes me fatigued. I've got a cord of stubborn resolve to just turn that into a some nonlethal that I can heal up along with standard damage.

Since we are sorta going for a cheat code thing I decided to try for being as invincible as possible, With all the DR I can get and all the damage I can mitigate I get giddy at the thought of Blades bouncing off of me!

Sovereign Court

This just ran wild didn't it?

I think I'll go for a cannon build then. There is a magus arcana that makes for a really cool Meliodas tribute. I might do that.

What I build will be partially determined by the AP.

I'm thinking a tiefling... well, it's probably best to think of him as a monk. He's descended from a cult of Kyton worshippers. I had been thinking of him based on the mention of Wrath of the Righteous, but some thing may have to change if we are going for a less black and white AP.

Same as Philo, Corsario - depending of what AP you're going to do it, my concepts might vary.

AP is wrath of the righteous, right?

Liberty's Edge

It will be what Ace Matthews wants, as this is his idea.
So, Ace: What it will be?

I think I'm leaning toward one that you know better as I don't wanna go TOO far off book. Kingmaker is a little too sandboxy and limited by other things than character power.
I know nothing of Crimson Throne, and it does sound hilarious to do RotRL and turn some gobbies into paste.
My vote is between those two I think unless you have a better idea.

RotRL Sounds awesome. If we make it to the end we would probably just smoosh the rune lords. Not to mention Gobos ineffectively gnawing at our ankles sounds hilarious.

I think I'm going to go with a powerful mystic theurge (let's be honest, this is one of the few ways it would be effective), that, keeping with the whole 'cheat code' thing, has discovered that he lives in a simulation (Matrix-style), and is basically cheating the entire multiverse through his magic. It should prove amusing.

I'm good with either, though I'd prefer RotRL. It just feels more hilarious.

How long is recruitment open?

I also like the idea of doing Rise, since it's in many ways the iconic AP for Pathfinder.

I did already make an alt for RotRL and the campaign fell through...

Liberty's Edge

Got It, Rise of the Runelords it is.
Ace, you will help me select your party, right?
Question: I was thinking you won't level for most of the Adventure Path, as at the start the encounters are, well, non encounters. So at the end of the adventure path you should be more or less in your power level. Sounds good?Or you want to face the last battle at level 20 (maybe not such a bad idea, never seen a level 20 character in action)

I mean, I think it would be awesome to face off with Kazavog at Level 20, Mythic 10.
But if we're doing slow-level, I'd have to switch class. There's a reason nobody plays Mystic Theurge. (Actually, I may anyway. Still deciding)

I know when I played the 3.5 version of Rise we were epic level and he nearly TPKed us.

I hope we go to fricken lvl20/Mythic10 man! We'z got cheatz, they don't. I also imagine we can MAKE some challenges for ourselves.

I.E. A level 3 party would have to find another way to take out the gobo society... We could have a fight with like 300 gobos instead. stuff like that.

Vrog Skyreaver wrote:

I remember hearing that pathfinder PC's are about 1.5 times as powerful as standard 3.5 PC's.

Maybe we use actual XP for once? That way we'll keep advancing a little bit, but once we reach level 14 or so, our 100k xp lead won't matter that much.

Ierox wrote:

We wouldn't be getting any XP for like 3 1/2 books.

We'd hit 13th level just before when people normally hit 10th.
