A Nice Gesture for Subscribers?

I don't post much, but I do my share of reading here. Please don't take my lack of posting to mean I don't spend much time here.

I realize that the S&S subscription release has not gone as well as anyone would have liked (yes...I saw Vic's post on the printer not shipping to the Seattle warehouse in couple of threads). I am not upset. Things like this happen. However, when something like this happens, a gesture goes a long way to making people happy again.

If the folks at Paizo are open to a suggestion... how about something like a 50% off coupon for a single class deck (with shipping added as normal)? I don't know what that deck cost Paizo so maybe the 50% number is not appropriate, but the intention was to offer subscribers a perk without losing money in the process.

Something off the extra cost of shiping would be my suggestion as many of us now have two large packages to get shipped (to UK in my case) rather than one which puts our cost up.

As I understand the problems they've had, This really will hurt me on shipping costs as I was really going for one big box to get through customs. Now there will be (at least) two.
The APs are custom free when shipped on their own over here in Norway, but with two of them (AP2 + Add on?) in the box there will be extra custom to pay. And getting the APs as standalone shipping was part of the calculations I did to get a feel if the promos was worth subscribing for instead of buying the game in Norway.
But, I'll manage, it's just some kroner I could have used on other stuff, but now wont.

For now, I'd just quite like the emails that have been mentioned in various threads - I understand from Vic's post yesterday, the general issue, but I don't feel like I should have to trawl through web-forums to find out why my order has been pending for nearly a month.

Obviously some sort of gesture from Paizo would be good. Especially for people like myself who have gotten into other games during the delay (Marvel Dice) it might be a good way to help lure us back, rather than seeing future sales lost as we've found other places to spend our money...

I think an additional exclusive promo card would be the best apology for the subscribers. Something funny and thematic. For example, misprinted treasure map.

Rather than exclusive promo cards, I'd prefer them just including the cards that would be included in non-card products, like the miniatures, in the subscription.

I was thinking about the promo card thing too, but I wasn't sure about the costs or gameplay aspects. Misprinted map is classic.

A good suggestion, but that isn't really any sort of bonus to those of us who would already be getting those in our miniatures.

One of the promo cards for S&S is a blessing, Blessing of Zogmugot. We're going to ship subscribers 1 copy of Blessing of Zogmugot along with *each* subscription shipment from September to January, for a total of 5 copies. This card will not be available through retailers.

This is a great solution because you take an existing card and make it a lot more cool. The Blessing of Zarongel was a nice card with its only drawback being a unique card. S&S will mean a plethora of promos for subscribers!

Now here's a question regarding that awesome decision. Will that blessing be an exception to the " One copy of each promo" rule in OP?

I'll have to get Mike and Tanis's input on that, but I'd say it's doubtful. It's a pretty darn good blessing. (Also, unlike most other blessings, it doesn't rely on copies of itself to recharge.)

Doesn't rely on copies to recharge, eh? I look forward to my September shipment to see this! If that's the case, then there's really no need to give it a special exemption.
