- The marketplace of Elkhaven will be one part of the community's core. An open place for buyers, sellers, and traders to interact in an environment as free as possible from political and administrative influence. Elkhaven's marketplace will be integrated with the community's harvesters and produces and will try to form part of a cooperative chain with other settlements in the region to form a robust network that encourages the sooth flow of goods and services throughout the land.

- The Holy District of of Elkhaven will be open to all faiths and will tend to the citizens needs, while attempting to keep a stock of reasonably priced healing equipment and consumables for adventurers. While efforts may always be made to show unfortunates the error of their ways, no member of the community will ever be refused healing they can afford as a result of their personal choices, so long as those choices do not affect the Settlement negatively.

...What's pemmican?
It is the Canadian version of hard rations. From the Cree word pimîhkân, it was a high-energy, easily stored food.
Basically they took whatever meat was prevalent in the season (Caribou, Deer, Bison etc. and dried into a fatty, proteiny, trail mix, sometimes with seasonal berries like Cranberries and the Saskatoon, to provide vitamin C (Though they didn't necessarily know it was vitamin C they were adding)
It's like a less sugary and salty version of jerky crossed with a granola bar. Light, lots of calories, easy to keep for weeks at a time.

You did have an icon for a while. Only Phantasmargoria in the top 33 was lacking one (and still is). Guess once we see an icon appear for them, then it will be close to reckoning time.

Today's special in Elkhaven is Montreal-style smoked boar. Using more pepper and spice, and considerably less sugar than many smoked meats, our boar has a rich, complex, taste that has been delighting adventurers for decades.
Our brine-cured smoked boar is served as an open-face rye bread sandwich with plenty of our signature Golgothan mustard, smuggled from the interior.
Also on the board tonight is beaver-tail soup with a dark sourdough bread.

Sunday evening is baked salmon day in Elkhaven's favourite tavern. A hefty slab of dark red Pacific Salmon soaked in DarkMountain Mead and Barbequed on a cedar plank for an incomparable taste. A heafty serving of wild rice and Staghorn mushrooms is the perfect side to this solid fish.
Also on the board tonight is Moose Prime Rib au jus and our feature drink of the evening is a dark Forgeholm ale from the mountain country.

It's Medallion Monday in Elkhaven's favourite tavern. Your choice of Elk, Caribou, or Moose soaked in Beaverpiss ale. You medallion is accompanied by a hefty serving of roast bog-onions from Taur-im-Duinath and some Freevale truffles.
Also on the board tonight is Goblin Stew. Tastes like pork.
