adding templete to summoing, made me wonder how to calculate damage :
1d12 that increase in size turn into ?
3d6 that increase?
3d6 that decrese ?

Most likely the answers are:

1d12 => 3d6
3d6 => 4d6
3d6 <= 2d6

1d12 becomes 3d6
3d6 becomes 3d8
3d6 becomes 2d6

For increased size the damage increases @50%
d4s become d6s
d6s become d8s for odd number odd d6s. Increase number of dice by 50% for even numbers (2d6 becomes 3d6)
d8s become 2d6s
d10s become 2d8s

3d6 does not become 3d8.

There are two different possible damage dice increases, with both doubling every other size increase:

1d8 => 2d6 => 2d8 => 4d6 => 4d8
1d8 => 2d6 => 3d6 => 4d6 => 6d6

3d8 is on neither of them.
