Aside from leveling up, and the max +3 for being old for half of them, and the max +5 inherent bonus from the books/wish/miracle AND the max +6 enhancement bonus from oh so many different items... are there any ways (temporary or permanent) to increase any ability score that stacks with the above mentioned methods?

Kolokotroni |

Yes, depending on the ability score some classes give you bonuses to them. For instance, for strength a dragon disciple gets a bonus that would stack with the above (though obviously not work with old)
The barbarian's rage is a moral bonus so that stacks. Alchemist's mutegen stacks because its an alchemical bonus. I am sure there are others out there.

You can make a pact with a Succubus to get a +1 profane bonus to an ability score.
You can also actually get up to a +6 inherent bonus to Str or Con using a few sorcerer bloodlines (as opposed to a max +5 with the tomes). But that's not ANY ability score, just two of them.
Hmmm... I don't think I know of any others.

I think you guys are missing the point, the OP is asking about bonuses that can be applied to ANY ability score, not specific ones.
I think it depends on how you read it, or if Joe clarifies, but I read it as any of the 6 ability scores, not that it had be able to increase all of the ability scores.
Side note: Alchemical can be used to increase any single stat, depending on mutagen.

Any of the six, I've spent the past few hours trying to pass this "cap". Specifically I was looking for charisma but branched out from there and after not finding anything short of rage and mutagen/cognagen. I decided to put it to the boards to see if anyone else knew of any and this is the first I am hearing about the pact with a succubus.
It does surprise me that with all the different types of bonuses that can be applied (holy, profane, luck, insight ect.)And there are do few options

Beyond the above, there isn't much. I think there are a few other Prestige Classes out there like Dragon Disciple, maybe some special adventure-specific demon pacts or plot-powered magic items (I remember a certain grove of fruit trees that would either buff a stat or feed you to an elder god, let the biter beware)
And then there's custom-brew, the guidelines for ability score boosts above +6 remain, "bonus squared * 1000 gold", even if you want a 400,000 GP belt that grants a +20 enhancement to your strength.
And possibly psionics, I haven't read the Psionics unleashed book, but if it still has the old ability that let you burn power points for 1-round unnamed ability score buffs and the other old ability that let you pull power points from ioun stones you could give yourself [INTEGER OVERFLOW] strength and shatter the entire world with one mighty blow.

3.5 Epic rules had Epic feats that added +1 to any of the 6. These feats could be taken over and over and always stacked.
Other than that I think the rest are covered above.
Ov course you could also alway make a custom attribute increasing magic item with no 'type' to the attirbute increase for the appropriate costs as per the item table.
Subject to GM ok as usual.

This intrigued me so I thought I'd add it up so far. I am only using Pathfinder published sources.
.
.
Going Strength on this just to see how high it could get. Maybe another stat has more options? I think Charisma has an Insight bonus in the Bardic spells somewhere.
18 untyped Base
+4 untyped Racial: Orc
+5 untyped from leveling
+4 untyped from Dragon Disciple
+6 Inherent from Eldritch Heritage: Abyssal
+6 Enhancement from Belt of Giant Strength
+8 Morale from Rage while using Amplified Rage feat
+10 Size from Form of the Dragon III
+4 Alchemical from Mutagen
+2 Profane from a Succubus' Profane Gift
This is a total of: 67
Now, if we are counting things that the party cannot control, which is a circumstantial damage due to combat totaling 50:
+10 Morale from Blood Rage
If we are counting very circumstantial and GM controlled:
+8 untyped from Half Dragon template
So far I've got:
Controlled by Party PC: 67
Circumstantial damage: 69
Allowed Template: 77
Template with circumstantial damage: 79
Any more? This is interesting.

You need to be Alchemist level 16 for Grand Mutagen, which removes the ability to be a Dragon Disciple level 4 and also gets rid of Form of the Dragon III. This reduces your Size bonus options down to a +4.
You CAN be a level 2 Rage Alchemist to add an additional +2 however!
New Totals:
Controlled by Party PC: 69
Circumstantial damage: 71
Allowed Template: 79
Template with circumstantial damage: 81

Magical Knack would free up two levels of Sorcerer if we feel like we need it for any other bonuses?
By the way, if this guy (at 71 Strength as the other two require being an NPC) is using his full attack, picks up Magical Knack and Magical Lineage, using Quickened Intensified Empowered Shocking Grasp, he's doing 388 damage per round on average while Power Attacking and wearing an Amulet of Mighty Fists +5.
463 if Hasted and I'm sure there are more feats/spells that could be applied.
