We fought a spider-thing in the cargo hold of Lavinia's ship at the beginning of the adventure. Wasn't everyone there?

Daurros, Ardanto and Thoven came late to the party.

I totally forgot. It was so long ago...

"Yes, one of these foul beasts was on Lavinia's ship and it nearly killed us all! Luckily we have learned a few new fighting techniques -- and gained a few new comrades -- since then." Finn's chin juts out proudly at their quick victory over the monster.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

"I'm just glad it didn't land on me this time." Guard mentiones, while moving on, as before going first.

GM

The next room is mostly fill with a large hexagonal table made of oak, surrounded by six chairs. The north wall bears a huge map of sasserine, on which dozens of tiny colored flags have been placed. To the south a five foot tall ten foot wide1.5x3 m slate bears a tangled mess of chalk scribbling. A winch handle protrudes from the northwest wall Which goes to the chain on the spider thing, I forgot to bring that up

Not really needed but here is your map

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

BTW, was the spider munching on our former prisoner/guide? Or is he still out there?

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn quickly rummages around the room, especially the table and the map (less interested in the gobbledygook on the chalkboard).

Search: 1d20+12=32
Why did I have to waste a perfectly good natural 20 on that!?

male Kalashtar Shaper 2

The Captain takes a long look at the scribblings on the chalkboard.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Guard waits at the door for the other to finish their business.

GM

The map on the wall seems to hold three colors of flags, red, blue and gold. Finn does note, the red flags are stuck in Inlarn island, and the Kalashtar and a few noble and temples thought the city. Few few noble house and building have the blue flags, while garrisons of the city have blue and red flags. Gold flags stand from both the Vanderborn manor and Riedra enclave. To the south on the wall seems to be a list of incoming and out going ships. as well as notations of which ones have been and will be "holed" There is also a note in an unknown language"Aquan" and a large note at the top with your names and in bold "VANTHUS FIX THIS NOW!"

Finn

Spoiler:

You can see on the harbor master which has a blue pin, it once had another as the hole is still there. You do recall the arbor master death just a few days ago

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Take a look -- there used to be another pin next to the harbourmaster's office, but now there is only a blue pin. Maybe one of the colours means that someone is a target for assassination?"

male Kalashtar Shaper 2

"More probably, that the assassination has already been done"

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"You misunderstand, Captain -- there were two pins, but only one remains. So what was the other pin for?"

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

"My friends, I think all of this may be quite important; if not to us, then to the watch. We should make a copy of everything we cannot take with us." Daurros begins trying to copy down all of the information - what locations have which color pin, the list of ships, etc.

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto puts his hand on Daurros's wrist, "My friend we will have plenty of time to lead the watch here after we have stained our hands and blades with our enemies blood,"

"Let us continue onward."

Female Human (mostly) Rogue 2

Without a word Whisper slips off stalking onwards as the others inspect the potential evidence and Daurros settles to start making copies.

"Ordinarily, I might agree with you. However, if we were to miss any of the lotus dragons, we could lead the watch here only to find everything destroyed. I think it is critical to copy this now."

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Ardanto is right -- Vanderboren is probably fleeing as we speak, the craven bastard. This map, on the other hand, isn't going anywhere."

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros sighs in obvious aggravation. "Very well. I want to kill the bastard as much as the rest of you, but if everyone wishes to let their thirst for vengeance cloud their judgement, so be it." Daurros packs up what little he had transcribed and is ready to continue.

Whisper

Spoiler:
As whisper moves down the dark hall the others talk seems to fad, 25 feet(7.5 meters) down the hall she comes to a door. hearing nothing on the other side she pushes the ajar door open inside this 15' long 10 ' wide room(4.5x3 meter) room is empty save a long figure. It stands near 7.5 feet(2.2 meters) and its matted hairy skin is dull it looks bloated and dead, much like the horrors of the tunnel below parrot island. It carries a morningstar and a wooden shield in its dead hands and stares toward you with dead unseeing eyes. Then it moves

Perception (1d20+3=4)

"Was there something?" the Captain is looking again at the scribbles on the board.

GM

Some of you see whisper make across the room loading a crossbow, but no one misses the lumbering hulk of rotting flesh that stumbles in after her

Snem reacts immediately, soul blasting the abomination.
Soul Blast +1. (1d20+6=11, 1d4+2=6)

Guard on the other hand is not that fast, but he lets go of his halberd yet again. Following an emotion, a thougt from Snem, he strikes at the undead with his bare fists.
Unarmed attack; Damage; (1d20+4=22, 1d4+3+1d6=7)
With the hit of his fist, his blue-shining forearms lighten up, adding to the damage.
Armguards of disruption for the win!
Swift action: relocate Essentia from Snem to the Armguards (next round damage is 1d4 (slam) + 3 (STR) + 2d6 (disruption))

Edit: the Undead might get an AoO from Guard attacking unarmed...

GM

Sorry guys I should have pointed out, Duarros and the captain get AoO's, Finn does with his spear as well. on another note Guards disruption is nasty

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn is startled by the thing's appearance and misses as it approaches.

AoO: 1d20+4=5 1d8+4=10

But he gathers his composure, drops his spear, and attacks with a flurry of talons!

Two claws: 1d20+3=16 1d20+3=13 1d6+3=8 1d6+3=5
Spend action point for an extra attack: 1d20+3=12 1d6+3=7

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Yeah... I shaped that in hopes of undead encounters.
Does not work on anything else.

Male Human Cleric 5th

In A move bold for the secular man, he leaps upon the table in front of the foul creature."Stay Back Whisper! He calls out as he brings his heavy mace down upon the abomination with great force.

attack 1d20+2=22

Can you crit undead now? If so:

confirm 1d20+2 =16

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Reacting only on instinct, Daurros mentally commands his rapier towards the undead thing. Unfortunately, he's more surprised than he thought ...
rapier (1d20+5=8, 1d6+4=7)

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto will close the distance with a five foot step onto the table and try to decapitate the monstrosity.

Still can't get on IC, so please roll for me :-)
Longsword +3 (1d8+3 19-20) and
Throwing Axe + 3 (1d6+3 *2)

I also can't get a stable connection to DMTools, hence I can't pop on and say hi.

"Vanderboren, you've let your self go!" he shouts in the beasts face.

Not sure with all the above posts if there is a space, if not I will just shrug and look around at the others.

Male Human Technician 17

Rolls for Ardanto:
1d20+3=4, 1d8+3=9, 1d20+3=18, 1d6+3=5

GM

Andanto leaps into action throwing his ax and leaping onto the table he brings his sword down but the undead thing blocks with its shield. Finn stabs with his spear also hitting the shield then claws the monster several times having no effect. Daurros sword fly's in doing no damage, The captain his with his staff seeming not to effect the beast. Snem blasts not hitting the beast as Guard slams into it with his fists. Thovrn leaps to a chair bringing his mace down in a mighty blow that takes most of the things face. Seemly unbothered it drawls blood from Thovrn with a blow from its morning star 11HP

New round, maps the same secpt Andanto is on the table9he went first) and thovrn is on the chair

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Snem tries to blast the undead again, but misses. He keeps hovering over Guards shoulder.

Soul Blast (1d20+5=10, 1d4+1=2)

Fighter Level 9

Round 2, bring it on big hulking undead monster! (1d20+3=23, 1d8+3=11, 1d20+3=8, 1d6+1=4)

Ardanto dances about on top of the table and attempts to pierce the monsters defences.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn growls in frustration as he picks up his spear, steps back a pace, and lashes out with a pair of ineffective thrusts.

Use an action point for an extra attack
1d20+4=13 1d8+4=12
1d20+4=16 1d8+4=5

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Spellcraft - cast defensively (1d20+11=23)

Daurros quickly fires off a disrupt undead at the foul beast, successfully avoiding exposing himself to an attack.

ranged touch - disrupt undead (1d20+3=11, 1d6=3)

Fighter Level 9

Oh Poo forgot the extra attack from an action point. Is it too late to add one in now?

Spend action point for extra attack if allowed. (1d20+3=11, 1d8+3=7)

GM

The thing seems to stand there slowly moving as the combined might of Finn, Andanto , Thoven and gaurds glowing fist seems to undo it. It slumps to the floor like so much rotten meat.

I made attack for thoven, Gaurd and the captain. it is now very much dead

Female Human (mostly) Rogue 2

As the thing slumps Whisper stands in shocked silence, her eyes wide as she looks over the others, her gaze settling on Lord Thoven's wound with a small frown.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Those armguards where a good idea after all, Snem. Thanks. the warforged mentally communicates with the blue floating ball, looking up.
In response, the blue ball lights up a bit, answering: I got a few tricks left. As soon as we get out of here, I'm going to try and teach you some.

Guard then picks up his halberd again, looking around the group. Once he notices Whisper standing in shock, he speaks: "You should not sneak out alone like that. I can't protect you, if you do that."

Male Human Cleric 5th

Breathing heavily, Thoven steps down from the chair. He notices Whisper looking at his wound and smiles to comfort the girl."Are You alright Whisper?"

Thanks for goin for me Seeker, was kinda busy last night.

Female Human (mostly) Rogue 2

At Guard and Thoven's words Whisper's eyes drift slowly down towards the floor, averting her gaze entirely from theirs. Swallowing a small lump in her throat she gives a silent nod in respose to them both.

Male Human Cleric 5th

Thoven sighed and placed a hand on Whisper's shoulder. He stooped down low and lifted her chin with his opposite hand. "Do not fret Whisper, it is merely a wound, and I would take it a thousand times over in your defense my lady." He smiled again widely, though his cheeks were tinged in red above the smile as he realized the forwardness of his actions.

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

"Sorry to break up this 'moment', but since they know we're here by now, we need to keep moving. We're on their turf, but the less time we give them to set up ambushes, the better." The wry smile on Daurros' face shows he's just giving Thoven and Whisper a good natured jab.

GM

You make your way down the hall and into a now empty room, nothing seems to be here, though the door you venture and into another cramped hall then you come to a set of doors one left around a bend and one right

Left or right folks, and is this marching order fine?
