Sumil
|
With the door open and Jed rallying behind him, Sumil rushes toward the spectre and takes a confident swing with his sword. Though he can not actually feel the hit he certainly gets the sensation that he did considerable damage.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 292d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 + 2 = 19
Power Attack - Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 192d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 + 2 = 11

Kaylee follows her friends into the room, staying out of their way.
Continuing to sing, double move into the room.

Seren's quick reflexes allows her to avoid the nasty blast hurtling her way. Jed rushes towards the others, spying the villain beyond the open door as Jiggo hides from the beast and moves towards his bleeding companion.
Continuing her songs, Kaylee moves to assist. She makes it just in time to see Sumil decide he's done with this fight. The man surges forward and cleaves the shadowy figment in twain. A shocked expression on the undead's face, it gasps "I...I wanted...to..be inside you..." and with a puff of smoke, it's gone.
Combat Over
In the previous room where you faced the zombie and the allips
On the bodies of the mangled Pathfinders, you find two masterwork rapiers and a scroll case containing 3 scrolls. The pathfinder's armor is shredded beyond repair. Behind the black curtain a few crates are stacked containing a large amount of exotic spices and a strange looking orb sits nearby. Those that have seen it before, recognize this as the orb of stars
A vial containing a dark liquid, showing occasional reflections from beyond the boneyard can also be located within the crate.
Scrolls, Orb, Vial are all magical if anyone wishes to do checks
Room where Sumil split the foe in half
No loot of value can be located in this room
Congrats! You lived! Jiggo - You'll want to give me two DC 14 Fort Saves for your negative levels.
Jiggo Maelerant

"Phew! Thank goodness that's all over" Jiggo wipes the sweat off his brow. "Sir Paladin, let's bring the orb of the stars back to the ship. And Seren- let's give that spirit her final rest, at sea."
Speaking of rest, Jiggo spends the next few days praying for good health
Time to burn my Inspired trait and my GM 1 star rerolls.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 2 = 20
Down to 1 negative level.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 1 = 10
Inspired Trait reroll: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 1 = 19
And there we go.
Jiggo feels his constitution falter, but Erastil smiles upon him and his renewed vigor shakes off the remaining negative level. "Ah, I'm back to normal!" He stretches. "Sorry I couldn't be of more use."
Kaylee Sharpston

FYI Jiggo if you'd failed either of those and couldn't reroll, Kaylee would have given you one of her inspiration spells. Unfortunately those types of spells don't really work as well on play-by-post format.
"If all you wanted was to be inside us you could have just asked, a$$hole!" Kaylee calls after the spirit's fading form. She turns and winks to Jed. "You could still ask, cutie!"
Sumil
|
"I hate this place." Sumil says with a frown as the ghosts lasts words are uttered. "Cannibles, vampire ghosts. Normally this is in my ally, yes? These Gloomspires are an aweful place though. Let us get out of here." He sheaths his sword and assists Jed with identifying the magic items.
Will use Object Reading to determine the properties of each item.
"Lets leave, and I hope I never come back here!"
Unfortunately for Sumil I know there's a third part to the Gloomspire scenarios.
Seren's Seven
|
Seren looks rather offended by the ghost's last words and stomps into the room until she can jab a finger at Sumil's chest. "Inside YOU!? The heck kind of taste does it have!? I'm the expert on being all possessed! He clearly had no idea what's what." [b]She snorts and flails about for several moments before putting a hand on Sumil's shounder. [b]"Whatever, look buddy, you don't let any ghosts possess you and let the experts like me handle it. You saw what happened to old eight-toes over there."
She then turns to Jiggo and happily pats her satchel, which groans in a concerning manner. "Hey don't worry. I still got it, but I got dibs on the jar. I think I can fill it with some pretty good jam or something."
