| Ursion Ratarion |
Hello folks!
Ursion is from the city of Magnimar, where he has become involved with followers of the Empyreal Lord Ragathiel. He was born with a birthmark that bears a remarkable resemblence to the five winged form of Ragathiel's holy symbol. As such, he eventually began training as a paladin of the faith, which he has now completed. His order has sent him to the nearby city of Sandpoint in order to help spread his faith there (while remaining close to home, for now) and to find ways to assist the community in it's healing.

Howdy all.
Zariel grew up and orphan in Riddleport and was taken in by a cleric of Cayden Cailean. She taught him about the faith and trained him to fight but it's come time for him to make his own way in the world. He's come to Sandpoint to begin his adventurer's journey by helping make it a safer place for decent people.

"I am researching an interesting set of symbols I recently discovered in a rare set of writings by the mage Methuselah. I was really blessed to have acquired such a well-preserved manuscript...almost all of Methuselah's writings were lost 300 years ago in the great fire so even SEEING an intact manuscript...oh...sorry...Looks up to see the groups' eyes glazing over...Anyways...I'm trying to determine what these runes mean."

(its all cool) Glorian Pull out a pen and tells it... you think your mightier than my sword..." he thows the pen down, takes out his sword and breaks it... "no! you are not mightier you pen!!"
He'll the look at the party stating "no the pen is not mightier!"

Colleagues - I will be in seclusion for the rest of the weekend and unable to discuss the upcoming event. I will catch up with you all Sunday evening here in the pub - I'll even buy you a round to atone for my absence!

The large man sits down, coffee and last night's dinner roll in hand, having missed breakfast proper in favor of greeting the other patrons.
"Sir, I am not a smart man, but I suggest you do not mock an underfed dwarf."

Any thoughts as to how practical this group will be? We've got lots of strong guys swinging sticks, not much ranged, a full caster, and not too much in the way of heals. I am open to making some slight changes (if DM permits), such as going ranged or getting more focused on healing.
What do you guys think?

That's always the challenge, though...the only perfect party has 24 characters with unlimited resources...The trick is to play to the party's strengths, guard against the weaknesses, and see where we can go. Let's give it a whirl and stock up on healing potions!
| Ursion Ratarion |
Oh yeah, I'm all for just giving it a shot, just thought I'd mention that.
Viluki: don't withdraw for the parties sake. By all means, withdraw if you're not feeling it, but don't do it because you think we need someone else. We'll get by either way.

@All
Thanks for posting and getting to know one another. I am still finishing up some prep (wife took me on a little mini-vacation this weekend that ate into prep time). I am hoping to finish up by Wed at which point I'll post the link to Roll20 and open up the campaign thread.
Thanks for your patience can't wait to get started!

I agree with Archeak (or Viluki)...Since we are stuck here in the Inn, we might as well discuss some party strategies. So, if we come up against a small party of goblins, let's say, in an open area what would we each do and how can we maximise our attack? What if we came across these goblins in a confined area? Then we do a small group of orcs and an ogre in the same spaces. I will say I carry a light crossbow to reach out and touch something, and I have a nice Sleep spell for the goblins and orcs. Oh, and I have this nice quarterstaff if anything gets too close...

I have a sling as a ranged weapon, (I plan on buying a bow eventually, but this was most effecient at first level, 1d4+4 sounds better than 1d6+0 or 1d8+0), but I'm not terribly good with it. In pretty much all cases with a group of melee mooks, I'll be wanting to get in there and soak up some attacks, and then deal some back myself.

Zariel quietly indicates to his curved elven blade and scale armor next to him. mother always said it was rude to eat breakfast in armor He then points to the flask he is using to Irish up his coffee, it has the symbol of Cayden Cailean on the side.

Ok, gaemplay and campaign threads are now both open above. Please take a look at the campaign thread to see important information. Also note I haven't put up the link for Roll20 yet as I am putting on some finishing touches today I'll make sure to post here and put in the link up at the top of the page when it is ready.

All - I asked Dak is he was OK or overwhelmed :-) I was concerned by the lasck of posts...Dak says he's waiting for a few others to check in and he's wrapping up another campaign. So stay strong - he'll get this going soon (I hope!)

Forgot to note, once you've had a chance to login to the Roll20 page, let me know your name on Roll20 so I can associate you with the correct character so you can move them around. I'll also be adding at least their HP and AC for me to keep track in battles easier :)
