Do all symbol spells inherit symbol of deaths hp limit

Rules Questions

Recently i was picking spells for my level 16 occultist and saw symbol of vulnerability as one of my abjuration choices and looking at it it seemed like an awesome debuff option, so i show my gm and we read symbol of death to insure we are doing things correctly mechanically and he highlights the "affects 150 hp of creatures" section of symbol of death which lead us to looking up every symbol spell, and there were about a half dozen symbols that call out specifically "unlike symbol of death symbol of "X" has no hp limit" and doing research i found 4 symbol traps from various adventure paths, and the stunning and fear traps call out that they affect a certain limit of hp, and they do not explicitly state in their entries the "unlike symbol of death" portion.

So the primary question is do all the symbols that dont specifically state "unlike symbol of death" inherit the ability to only affect 150hp worth of creatures, and if they dont why (i actually would really like a source as to why as im leaning toward all the symbols without the "unlike death" clause inherit the limit from seeing the 2 traps)

For the most part A symbol spell that does not specify otherwise will have the limit assuming it says it functions like symbol of death. But it also depends on what exactly the symbol does. Many of the spells have effects other than damage and a HP limit would not make sense. Symbol of Striking last until the duration runs out of it makes a number of AoO equal to your caster level. Symbol of Dispelling has a duration of Instant and specifically states it affects every creature in the area. The only way to tell is to read the description of the individual symbol spell.
