Treasure Vault remaster didn't update crossbows

Rules Discussion

I had a bit of a journey getting here, but it looks like the Treasure Vault remaster failed to update the crossbows like the Sukgung to the Crossbow weapon grouping, which was added in the Player Core remaster. I originally noticed this while looking through the Lost Omens: Tian Xia Character Guide, where the table correctly lists the Sukgong in the crossbow group, but the item page lists it in the Bow group. Curiously, Archives of Nethys correctly lists it as a crossbow.

I'm not the first to notice this; it was discussed previously in this reddit thread. I hoping to put this on Paizo's radar for a future errata, if it isn't already.

Liberty's Edge

The Crossbow vs Bow categorization would need some clean-up.

The Crescent Cross is described as a crossbow but is in the Bow category.

Same for the Lancer, the Rotary Bow, the Taw Launcher and the Repeating Crossbow. Note though that the Hand and Heavy Repeating Crossbows are in the Crossbow category.

I hope when they correct this they also change the Alchemical Crossbow from Bow to Crossbow.

4 people marked this as a favorite.

I'd suggest posting it specifically in the errata thread. They do look at that one for cases like this where something is clearly miscategorized.

Gauntlet Bow as well, fwiw; it's clearly described as a crossbow.

Apparently I noticed this when it released in FG VTT but I never posted the errors here. :D

The Gauntlet Bow was moved to the crossbow group in Battlecry.
