Description
These chunky pastel wands often resemble toddler’s toys and can be adorned with a clear glass or semiprecious stone. Bubble wands have 3 effects and up to 50 charges and are generally harmless. This wand is effectively a magical 'light' club doing med sz(1d4 c20 *2) B damage (lower damage) of Hrd:4 HP 6 {+3 HP from magical enhancement}. An exhausted bubble wand remains a wooden 'light' club with Hrd:5 and HP:1.
Bubblestream: this produces a stream of iridescent 2-6” radius bubbles in a 30ft cone (6 squares long by 6 sqr diameter base). The bubbles float about in the AoE and stick to creatures (which negates concealment) but a Reflex 14 avoids the bubbles for a round, otherwise the bubbles float about providing amusement for 2d4+1 rnd. Uses 1 chg.
Bubble Topiary: this produces medium to large size sculpture of an animal, humanoid, or magical beast made of tiny milky bubbles mainly for amusement that block line of sight(LoS). The sculpture can move as directed by the wand holder at 5ft/rnd within 35 ft of the wand user as a free action once per round or continue their last action. The sculptures can trick semi-intelligent creatures with Int – to 2 that do not have scent to seem real (sv Will 14) and if attacked some bubbles will stick to the attacker unless a Rflx 14 is made (negating concealment for 1d4+1) rnds. Bubble topiary attack is simply to engulf a foe with a melee touch attack of +2 doing no damage (see Wall of Bubbles) slowing oozes and/or cleaning creatures engulfed for 3 or more rounds. An engulfed creature may make a Rflx 14 check to escape engulfment otherwise they ‘wear’ the blinding bubble topiary that round. A creature that makes its save may wipe its eyes to negate the blindness that round and still wear the bubble topiary. Bubble topiaries last 30 rnds and use 2 chg.
Wall of Bubbles: this produces a torrent of 0.25-1” radius milky bubbles which form rounded mounds in (3) contiguous 5’*5’ squares within 15 ft of the wand (shapeable) on a supporting surface which can contain creatures or objects and lasts 30 rnds. Creatures in the AoE with a Rflx 14 avoid the spell effect moving to an open adjacent square otherwise they are engulfed. The wall of bubbles blocks line of sight(LoS) and line of effect for spells of zero and first level. The bubbles slow medium or smaller sized slimes, oozes, and creatures that travel on slime (such as snails) that enter each 5ft sqr AoE and fail a Rflx 14 save for 1d4+1 rnds (the duration is the longest of each failed effect in a round). The bubbles do not harm other creatures and clean creatures and objects that stay in the AoE for 3 rnds or more as prestidigitation. The bubbles stay mounded within their AoE and do not stick to creatures/objects exiting the AoE. Uses 2 chg.
The bubbles can be ended in a square of effect by a strong wind (21mph+) or 2nd level (or higher) energy effect. A mundane exposed tiny or smaller fire source (such as a candle or torch) is snuffed out in the AoE if it fails a Rflx 14 check.
