Hi - I received my adventure path subscription confirmation today and realized there's been a significant increase in the charge for shipping. Last month the charge was $11.92 through Mail Innovations International, while this month it's $20.05 through DHL Express Worldwide.
I can kinda sort of rationalize my subscription when shipping is in the $12.00 range, but the new shipping rates push my purchase to over $50 Cdn.
Is there a way to manage shipping options in the new store - or have shipping options been streamlined/changed?
Thanks!

They ahd lots of complains that there was no tracking for international shipping, and thus they switched to shipping methods that have tracking, but the tracking service increase the costs by a lot. They had warned about it, but the "we want tracking at any cost" voices were louder.
(And the current system don't support changing the shipping method for subscriptions, so yeah. :X )| BobROE RPG Superstar 2013 Top 32 |

I did not see those warnings anywhere.
And there was no way it see it was coming until the shipping had already taken place.

There absolutely should have been a warning via email for anyone not checking the forums regularly, and there should be an option given to pick a cheap bare-bones option. But that aside, I'm very happy to see that DHL option. It's much cheaper than the previous tracked UPS options (which were quite expensive for what you get).
Looking back at my previous orders, this new DHL option looks notably cheaper than UPS Mail Innovations International, so having tracking on top of that is a big plus. I'm seeing $43 USD in shipping if I ordered now with DHL, vs. the $53 USD that I actually paid for MII two months ago. (6 items: 4 books, a Flip-Mat, and a set of Battle Cards; to south-western Ontario)
Ideally, we should still be given the option to choose the shipping method that makes sense, especially for lower-value orders. But I personally found Mail Innovations International to be pretty bare-bones for the relatively high price that they charge.
There are also brokerage, duties, taxes, and tariffs, so depending on how those are handled with the DHL option, there could also be advantages. I've gotten a few hefty bills paid at the door in the past for some Paizo orders.

I'll be honest, in the past I have gotten bad experiences with DHL with other stores, but I'll wait and see here, and give the benefit of the doubt. But yeah. :X If I could I would probably have switched to another option.

It's unacceptable to change this and not let people know beforehand. It's about 80% more expensive for the shipping now. Makes it not viable to stay subscribed from the UK, it just about made sense before but with this increased cost it's not worth it at all.

I’m a little frustrated, I’ve had a 44% increase in shipping to New Zealand. I don’t really care about tracking, the order always turns up. I’ve kept my subscriptions because the shipping has been cheaper than the PDFs, so it’s justifiable, if that’s no longer the case it’s going to be harder to justify

Same here in France.
i received the pre order email and noticed a big increase in the shipping cost.
For november, they ask 28$ of shipping for 42$ of books. ( 66% of the cost )
Last was 15$ of shipping for 106$ of books. (15% of the cost )
At this rate, i'll stop my subscription.
