Hi all
Just to check I'm interpreting the rules correctly, could I use a double barrelled pistol with the twin star class feat? If so, would the twin star effect end when I sparked transcendence with the pistols?
I'm thinking of making a double barrelled pistol build using exemplar as a base class. Then have something else to back up the pistols while reloading

The twin Stars is just the ability to split your icon into two equal parts. It does not require the Ikon to currently be holding the Spark. They are still just a single Ikon aswell.
Otherwise yes, You can absolutely use Starshot and Twin Stars with a double barrel pistol.
If you want something to back up the pistols, Have you considered Bayonettes or Reinforced stocks to make melee strikes with the pistols?

Assuming you mean using your actions as follows.
2-action Transcendence—Giant-Felling Comet
1-action Strike/Stride
I see no issue with that. The two pistols are copies of eachother but are still individually loaded as far as I am aware. The Trancendance only uses one loaded barrel so you can even fire again with the same pistol should you want to, The Double Barrel trait only applies to strikes and is entirely optional.

Sweet, and thanks for double checking my reading of how this works. I'm kinda tempted to stack this with a bit of thaumaturge feats for a bit extra nasty damage
