Double Poison Feat

This 14th level feat requires the use of 2 infused poisons. The feat states to use the lowest poison's DC. Isn't it unnecessary to say this, since the 5th Level Alchemist class ability Powerful Alchemy would make all infused poisons have the same DC (the class DC of the alchemist? Or am I missing something? Thanks.

I would guess that the wording is there for future-proofing, just in case an archetype gets it as an Additional Feat at some point.

It's actually a remnant from when Powerful Alchemy was a class feat. Yes, alchemist did indeed not get Powerful Alchemy as an automatic Class Feature in the first print.

The text for the DC is absolutely meaningless after this change.

It still applies, just not nearly as often. There are occasions where a poison's DC is actually better than an Alchemist's Class DC at that level.

I was not aware of any such poisons since they need to be Injury poisons, But.. I stand corrected... and it makes sense that an alchemist wouldn't be able to 'upgrade' lower DC poisons by infusing them with a higher DC poison.

The inherent/base poison DCs for a poison two levels below the alchemist's level could in some very limited corner cases be one lower than the alchemist's class DC if (1) the Alchemist only has a Int of +1 (lmao), or (2) the Alchemist had a lowish to mediocre Int bonus and is suffering some huge penalty like sickness 4 when making his infused penalties. I don't think something like permanent Stupefied 4 from Never Mind would apply the way it does to spell DCs.

So technically possible, but not really.
