I've done this for the others, and I just had an idea for a Mystic today, so it's the mystic's turn.
tell us about a mystic you're excited to play, or that you have already played.
The idea I had was a human who was raised on Aballon by Anacites. His parents were researchers who died in a meteor storm (or at least that's what he was told). While he carries their sense of community, in that Anacites work together harmoniously for a the good of their world, he struggles with purpose. Anacites are all purpose built, they all have purposes. but non-anacites... they don't have that luxury. So he seeks connection (healing connection) with other non-anacites. he speaks rather stiffly to start with, and is somewhat blunt.

I developed two for the playtest:
1) Human/borai, Disciple (Eloritu), Mystic (Rhythm connection); Natural Ambition for Martial Disciple at 1st, plus Divine Fighting Technique later; a bit of a "fun" concept about secrets of the universe, "dancing" between life and death (and the elements, with New Epiphany [Elemental]), etc.; eventually gaining "true" Enlightenment.
2) Android/Networked, Tech Support, Mystic (Akashic connection); basically a divine version of the "ghost in the machine" concept (focus on both Int and Wis, invest in Computers and Thievery; Cloud Storage at 4th, Tripartite Mind at 6th, Databond at 10th, Network Attunement at 18th, and Transcended Existence at 20th).

In very basic terms I wanna build a Persona protagonist. Gaining (and giving!) strength through deep bonds of friendship that let them blast a fireball into your face. I'm thinking Lashunta, Shadow connection seems the most apt if for the name alone but a Primal list is more conducive to the elemental blasting part of this so I guess we'll see what the final subclass spread is, aaaand I haven't looked at the playtest documents in a year so I have no clue past that.

1) The playtest asks for people to try out a "martial mystic" that uses strikes + transfers during combat and spells outside of combat. I think this would be great with an Elemental Mystic, since they offer great innate buffs to Strike damage; and as a Dragonkin, since they can pick up machine gun proficiency off an ancestry feat.
2) The Xenowarden archetype wants you to be a primal Mystic, so I went the opposite direction of Elemental and picked a Rhythm Mystic. The Pahtra have a planet torn by pollution and exploitation, and a god of Revenge, Art, & Dance. A Pahtra Rhythm Xenowarden who is communicating with her planet and dancing through fighting the Vesk feels like a super thematic combination!
Either of these Mystic subclasses would be perfect for playing a Wild Astrazoan, too. The out-of-combat utility of being able to cast Pest Form at-will is so wonderful on a spellcaster.
3) Speaking of Mystics with Archetypes, Xenoarcheologist offers you a scaling multi-Recall Knowledge skill that can actually use Wisdom instead of Intelligence! That combined with a lot of feats that help with hazards makes it feel like a great option for Mystics that want to dungeon dive and delve. Because the Vlaka and their dying homeworld have a lot of ancient tombs, I thought a Vlaka Shadow Mystic would be fitting.
4) The one Mystic that I HAVE played was a Life Mystic who leaned into the gag of being really into the vague, indeterminate hippie-life-is-all-connected-maaaaan vibes of a Mystic. I wanted a space-drifter Prismeni who sees the whole universe as connected, and wants to see it all drifting through the cosmos.
