Question about new Inventor Dedication INT requirement

Rules Discussion

Is there a misprint in the remastered GnG book that Inventor Dedication requires +3 INT?
There no other multiclass archetypes that require +3 in any stat and it was +2 in pre-remaster. I can't also see any changes about it in the last GnG errata which is, I assume, a summary of all the remaster changes for this book.

Is it truly an official new requirement or I can hope for the old one to work again?

I believe it is the new official considering that the base statistics of the armor innovations were buffed and the weapon innovation can now be an advanced weapon (which would be treated as martial)

There's no official clarification/errata on this that I know of, so at the moment +3 is what's in the book.

The weird thing is that so far as I can tell, it's not in the errata updates on the website.

That leads us to a situation where the new book/PDF say +3 but the errata to update the old book doesn't. Does that mean anything? No idea.

I believe its a misprint because as you noted it's out of line with every other multiclass dedication and a reprint of Guns & Gears feels like a very odd place to set a new benchmarks for dedication feat requirements. And it was left off the errata list on the website.

It's definitely out of line with every other archetype.

If they were concerned about the strength of the dedication/archetype and thought they needed to increase the entry requirement....that seems like a bad way of controlling the power level, and out of line with everything else they've done.

I suspect it's an error.

As an archetype requiring a mental stat that few martials invest in, I don't think an Inventor's abilities require a greater hurdle. And IMO the class's main strengths is their 1/combat AoEs, which come online via archetype about the same time as in other classes w/ AoE feats. The only reason to take the Inventor Archetype before (IMO) was for non-powergaming reasons, like skills, an automaton/toy-buddy able to weather some magic better than other minions, or my personal favorite of being able to flavor one's weapon to look like some freakish anomaly from any anime or comic. If the Remaster makes the feats actually competitive too, then that opens up gates for creativity w/o compromise, and that's a bonus in my book.
