I've heard bits about this show, much more in recent days. Now we have what I think is the first major casting news:
‘Godzilla: King Of The Monsters‘ Star Kyle Chandler Is Cast As Hal Jordan In ‘Lanterns’
That's an interesting casting choice. Not bad, I think, if you're going for an older, more experienced Hal showing the ropes to the new guy, Jon Stewart. I had also seen an article awhile back describing the Stewart character as more of a hot head, which I kind of how I remember him from the first series I saw him in (Cosmic Odyssey).
My only hesitation is that Tom King is involved. I consider him to be a talentless hack, one-trick pony. Not sure how the dude still has any kind of career in anything remotely related to comic superheroes. I can only assume he knows where some "bodies are buried", so to speak. So typically I consider any project he's involved in to be DOA. Would that more people thought the same.
I don't always LIKE Tom's work. But I wouldn't call him a hack...
But then again you've shown no taste so.... *shrugs*

Haven't read a lot of his work but I still hold a grudge for what he did to Wally
My grudge has faded thanks to fixes by other writers.

Ulrich Thomsen To Play DC Supervillain Sinestro In HBO’s ‘Lanterns’
Interesting. The wife and I just became reacquainted with him from his role in the series Banshee, as the villainous Kai Proctor. He's a solid actor, and should do well in such a role. He was also in Counterpart, but that was awhile back, so I don't recall his character.
