Gale Blast - Core 2 Changes

Rules Discussion

Dataphiles

So I noticed that Gale Blast got a damage buff in the Player Core 2 book that was not in the (Remastered Errata for Secrets of Magic posted on the Paizo website). Damage is now Heightened (+1) by 1d6.

Reference: PC2 pg. 246

The updated version of the spell still posted on Paizo's errata listing is to have damage Heightened (+2) by 1d6.

While the Aberration on my shoulder just tells me to take the damage buff and don't question it. I can't help but wonder if this is a misprint likely to be changed and I should just keep using the errata version instead to not get to attached to the damage boost.

Thanks. I hadn't noticed.

It is an improvement. I don't think it changes the value of the spell though, as it is really just a push away.

I'd say go ahead and use it as reprinted. It's now only no better than other cantrips, and a whole lot less worse

Sovereign Court

It fits the typical damage of a melee-range cantrip so I don't think it's likely to be changed again.
