Monk / Druid Wildshape question

Rules Questions

Sczarni

so I'm going Monk/Druid blablah.

At CL 11, 6 Monk/5 Druid, with SHAPING FOCUS feat, my effective level of Druid for the purposes of Wildshape would be 11.

My question:
How many times a day could I Wildshape, for how long per form, and what would be my effective level for what I can actually Wildshape into(beast form I, II, III etc)?

I think you're reading the feat wrong. A Monk 6/Druid 5's effective druid level is not 11. You don't just add your Monk and Druid levels together, you simply get a +4 level "bonus" to your existing Druid level for Wild Shape.

PRD, Shaping Focus Feat wrote:
Benefit: If you are a multiclassed druid, your wild shape ability is calculated as though your druid level were four higher, to a maximum level equal to your character level.

So, you would wildshape exactly like a level 9 druid would. (Druid 5 +4 levels for Wildshape Focus).

Why would it be followed by "To a maximum level equal to your character level" then?

In case you were a Druid 4/Monk 2. Without that line, such a character would be an 8th level Druid for Wild Shape, rather than the 6th level max it should have.
