Looking at the Athletics skill in Player Core and I can't seem to find a range listed. I thought it was your reach, but it doesn't explicitly say that anywhere that I've been able to find under Athletics.
Where is the rule at?
The way it reads, I could grapple a target from a 100 feet away. I just need line of sight and line of effect to a target and a free hand.

Found it under the grapple weapon trait.
Seems odd that I had to go to an entirely unrelated section of the rules to get some insight into the matter.
You can use this weapon to Grapple with the Athletics skill even if you don’t have a free hand. This uses the weapon’s reach (if different from your own) and adds the weapon’s item bonus to attack rolls as an item bonus to the Athletics check. If you critically fail a check to Grapple using the weapon, you can drop the weapon to take the effects of a failure instead of a critical failure.

Sometimes happens.
For example, the rule that saids that bigger creatures can move in a smaller spaces considering them as difficult terrain is in the Squeeze action instead of in a general rule. Only spaces that are smaller than shoulders distance is that really needs to Squeeze. If it's bigger is just a difficult terrain even if you ar larger.
