Disable a Device crit fail against an already triggered complex hazard

A complex hazard has already been triggered and used its reaction. Initiative has been rolled. The hazard uses its routine on each of its turns. If I try to Disable the Device but score a critical failure, does nothing happen now that the hazard has already been triggered?
