Hey, everyone. I am trying to create a build for a goblin wolf rider character and I need a little help with the build. I think Hunter fits thematically with the goblin and the wolf working as a team in melee. But I've never used Teamwork feats before and am not sure what else I should be considering.
I'd also like to have the wolf trip since that is iconic to wolves in Pathfinder. And I wanted to lean into that. I also wanted to capitalize on their single attack by maybe going with the Vital Strike route. But I am worried that, since the wolf won't reach more than 12 HD, it can't get the whole team tree.
Here is what I've got so far:
Teamwork feats - Pact Flanking, Precise Strike, Tandem Trip, Broken Wing Gambit, Escape Route, & Paired Opportunist
Feats - Weapon Finesse (Kukri), Combat Expertise, Mounted Combat, Combat Reflexes, Butterfly Sting, Trick Riding, Critical Focus, Mounted Skirmisher, & Staggering Crit - which leaves one feat open
Feats for the wolf - Combat Reflexes, Favored Animal Focus (Bull), Dirty Fighting, Vicious Stomp, Vital Strike, Seize the Opportunity, Improve Natural Attack, & Improved Vital Strike
Any suggestions? Also, how do animal tricks work and does that matter for an animal companion class feature? If so, which tricks are the most important?
What magic items should I be trying to get? And what magic items, if any, should I be trying to find for the wolf? Also, any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

For anyone thinking of taking a Hunter (or any other class/archetype with Animal Focus) I always recommend the Planar Focus feat. It adds a bunch of new focus that add a lot of utility and some combat bonuses such as adding fire damage to all melee attacks, doing cold damage to melee attackers, at will Feather Fall, a burrow speed and more. It can be taken at level 5 with 5 ranks of Knowledge(Planes).
