Shadowrun: Need 2 Recruits

Recruitment

On your commlinks come the familiar icon of your fixer. "Hoi, I have a job for you, in the sprawl of Seattle," he says. "Looks like a sweet job, nothing hard -- but maybe a little dangerous."

Recruiting for Two Shadowrunners
Hello, I have a game that I'm running that has only three players. One is a dwarf Technomancer named magpie, another is pulling double duty as a conjuror and a face -- named Anise and Darby. Finally a cybered up doctor named Icarus forms the muscle.

We need a mage (combat mage or occult investigator) and a Covert Ops specialist. We also could use a rigger (I actually have a rigger under consideration, but we could be shifting the game over the weekends so she could join us).

Setting
The trio is currently in Seattle, but they've been all over the world.

Game System
Shadowrun: Twentieth Anniversary Edition (SR4A). I got those rules memorized.

When and Where
Currently Tuesdays each week, on roll20 -- 6:30 pm MST (8:30 pm EST) to 8:00 pm MST (10:00 pm EST). Thinking of Shifting to Sundays.

Reply in character please.

Damn, SR4 is my favorite version. but alas, I can't do a live game during the week and my Sundays are booked.

good luck, chummers!

Liberty's Edge

Whoot...I might be interested if it changes to a Sunday game can play any of those classes as well

Silver Crusade

dot. I have a decker type that can cover rigging pretty good, though it seems thats the least desired... I did have a concept for a mage I never got to use before, but its still undeveloped. I'd also likely only be able to join for Sundays.

Sounds good. I'm broaching a day change tonight. :)

Right. Both concepts are good. But like I said, I have to tell the others about the shift.

Been a long time since I looked into shadowrun. Always wanted to play never had a group interested or some one that would gamemaster. Also been looking for a "live" game. I could make either day work. I have no disposition to anyone class or race so can move to anything needed.

Liberty's Edge

OK...I will start creating either a combat mage and/or the Covert Ops specialist.

Liberty's Edge

any word on changed dates??

We won't be changing this week, I'm afraid.

Liberty's Edge

ok...well let me know if you do, otherwise I am not going to be able to join in...sorry

I'm seeing if I can change to weekends this week.

Okay, I have some bad news.

The spots in my Shadowrun game is filled. And, my wife wants Sundays to be family time -- so I'm shifting the game to Mondays instead of Sundays.

bummer that would have been fun. been a while since I had a RL game and not just pbp

Hi everyone!

I'm recruiting for one shadowrunner to join my group on Wednesdays. The time is from 5:00 pm MDT to 8:00 pm MDT (that is 7 to 10 EDT, folks). The group could use a sorcerer.

We play SR4, and the group is currently in Moldova.

Oh we play on Roll20.

Silver Crusade

I'm more familiar with SR5, but I have played a *little* bit of SR4. If I'm to play a mage, I would be curious if you'll be using the magic from SR5, or SR4, example- flamethrower is much easier to cast in SR5, vs SR4, while stun/power bolt are fairly op in SR4.

We have a mage. We just need a replacement face.

Silver Crusade

Right, does the group need more matrix, muscle, or magic to fill it out as a secondary role. I've got characters from 5e I can convert

We had a hacker that had to leave because of family complications.

Silver Crusade

Cool. I'll work on converting my technomancer.

Okay.

Can you have him ready to review by next morning?

Silver Crusade

I can have the background. But Idk about crunch. Seeing as I've never done matrix in 4e. I remember bits of it. Couple questions. Can I start submerged with skinlink echo? And am i coming in at base starting bp/karma?

500 bp, since everyone by now is equivalent of 500 bp.

Sadly I will not be able to have Darkstar done. I can however give a small summary to see if it's okay.

- born under a AA corp CEO, was locked up and had "humane" experiments done, though still pretty horrible, and he's basically under house arrest his entire life. Eventually, AAA Corp (of GM choosing) hostile takeovers darkstars dear old pops corp. but has Darkstars (Darriens) death faked by Raymond, his dad's right hand who basically hands the AA Corp and daddy dearest over as a show of loyalty and gets to keep a largely figurehead role. Fast forward to Darkstar in today's world, he works as a runner (obviously) because he is basically SINless, and because he has a bit of a problem with authority, and a deep fascination with the resonance and deep trix. He knows how to be cordial and wear a mask, even if he prefers the company of his sprites and online companions.

I think that will work. Can you get him done by next week?
