ancestral Lore feats should teach ancestral languges

Homebrew and House Rules

I think the Elf ancestry's Elven Lore feat (for instance), should teach you Elven---with the all-important line "if you already know Elven, you learn any one new language you have access to."

This matters for characters taking Adopted Ancestry after creation, or those taking it during creation with Int 10 (no spare language slot). Yeah, I know they can take Multilingual, but if they want Species Lore for other reasons now they're taking two feats just to fit in.

(This seems obvious to me now that I thought of it, but I searched the boards and it didn't turn up.)

Thoughts? Do I win the prize for "tiniest piece of pf2 homebrew ever"?

Hard agree.

It's difficult enough to justify a monster-fighting adventurer investing in Lore, and that would be a very sensible way to offer a bit more for such a trade.

Seems reasonable. Might limit the alternate new language to one's which the elven (or specified) ancestry granted access to in the list of additional languages.

It seems reasonable for the Elven Lore feat to grant a new language that is specifically tied to ancestral aspects, rather than just individual access.

Not that I think removing the limitation would be breaking change, but seems to better fit the theme/intent of the feat.
