Okay, finally got to use this spell tonight, but had a question regarding its actual effect: SourceSchool Spirit wrote:
Starfinder #30: Puppets Without Strings pg. 53
School enchantment (emotion, fear, mind-affecting)
Casting Time 1 standard action
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./level)
Area 30-ft.-radius spread
Duration 1 minute
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
Description
In your time of need, you call upon a spirit of your school to help you. The spirit might manifest as a famous graduate of your school, your school’s mascot, your school’s symbol, or just the specter of a terrifying professor; regardless, the spirit’s ghostly appearance demoralizes your foes. Enemies who begin their turn within the effect or who enter it must succeed at a Will saving throw or be shaken for 1 minute.
First off, I am 100% certain the 'range' specifics is a misprint of some sort (close range should be 25' + 5' / 2 levels)
The real question I had was: If a foe happens to succeed at their Will save, do they have to make another save at the start of their next turn if they don't leave the area? I'd expect a successful save to leave you immune to that specific spell, but it isn't actually written that way...Kishmo |

Hmm, I see what you mean! The general convention on spells is that, unless otherwise specified, once you save against it once, you're immune for the duration. Lacking any wording to the contrary, I agree with your assessment, i.e. that a successful save means you're immune.
